Get freezer bags, and divide up your meats into cooking portions to avoid thawing and re-freezing which isn’t good for you. Great video ❤

That's what I do. One lb is two meals for my child and I. Sometimes I even cook two lbs at once then divide into baggies for easy reheat for quick meals when my child gets home from school and I get home from work. I try to only spend about $150 a month and use coupons to get us through. I'm a single mom with no child support or help

Green oinions,bell pepper wash ut dry if with oaper towel, cut up put in freezer bag the will stay good til you need it. Take out what you need and refreeze the rest . Your veggies will stay fresh for the whole month. Saves you money

Not trying to tell u what to do, but it's just u and ur son. And it's three of us. I receive food stamps, as well. I make groceries a week at a time. Which makes it last until food stamps come again. And basic stuff is better to buy. Example: why buy ready made mashed potatoes when u can buy 10 pound bag of potatoes and make many many pots of mashed potatoes through out the month. And mashed potatoes uses the most potatoes/ person of all the ways to fix them for meals. Try plain boiled chunks, baked ones/ person, scalloped ones in casseroles, etc. where they are not reduced to a puree! Then she could start to set aside some of her extra FS money on prepping supplies for rainy days or other interruptions to her weekly shopping. I grew up shopping every 2 weeks, since the Naval Commissary was about 45 minutes away from our home. We shopped there because my dad was a retired veteran with shopping benefits on the base. How else could a working class family send 3 children to Catholic schools instead of the local public schools, for better educational standards??
I get food stamps and I also go to food pantrys but when you go to buy meat always go to back section not the first packages you see go to the bottom of the stack to get lower prices😊

Try the fruit. Once you peel the outside, it sorta has the texture of a grape. It's sweet but doesn't really taste like anything. That could also be a video idea... you and your baby are trying fruit you've never had. I would definitely watch that, and it can be a way to introduce new foods to Karter.

I am glad that I am not the only one that saw that that baby been crying from the beginning of them entering the store. She could have repositioned him give him something to chew on because they said he was teething or put it pacifier in his mouth or maybe even give him a little milk just to see if he would quiet down. That really bothered me to hear that baby crying the way that he was. Y'all young ladies. Please pay attention to your babies, cries.

I definitely do Great Value on things like mustard, garlic bread, apple juice, shredded cheese, ziploc bags, trashbags etc. i do buy brand name cereals but ONLY when they have good sale prices. GV spices work great as well. Their butter too.

Hey young lady I've been following your videos and I just subscribed 😊. I guess you can call me the "Great Auntie " since you have so many "Aunties " here lol. But reading a lot of the comments they are not telling you anything wrong like:
1. Keep God first in ALL YOU DO
2. KEEP PRIVATE matters PRIVATE
3. Yes, by all means learn to stretch your funds, even Foodstamps
4. Learn to Make a List
5. Invest in a 3 or 4 shelf rack to help keep your cans and dry foods organized that way you'll see exactly what you'll need next time
6. By All means, shop dry items like cans, boxes first so that your refrigerated items won't start to thaw out to soon.
You're doing a great job. Continue to Believe in yourself and just take it one Day at a time. So many of us has miles in age over you and have seen or been through what we call "Hard Times". So let me say it again, LEARN TO STRETCH ALL OF YOUR FUNDS babygirl, you can do it. Covid caught many off-guard, Thank GOD I wasn't in those numbers because I budget. From mother to young mother put the milk in the back of the refrigerator to keep it cold

FYI...don't the pack freezer to full over the vent. The whole fridge could go out. It happened to me. The repair guy told me not to pack the freezer too full because the air needs to circulate.

I got a $102 and when my social security check goes up my food stamps goes down and they have more loop holes than that, I read a document that says a single individual will recieve state minimum, it said will not maybe! While you are learning to cook I highly suggest in a crockpot...there's nothing like coming home and dinner is already cooked and you can have leftovers. Years ago I worked as a grocery cashier. When you organize the cart, like items will get bagged together like cold with cold, meat with meat and etc. Thus, when you get home it makes it easier to put the groceries away. Work on the front end saves on the back end.
Unless you are planning on cooking all the packaged meats at once; you really should separate it into Ziploc bags with name, and dates (month & year).
Why do you have to have your things organized? I organized the stuff when i put in my bag. But not in the cart . I love food stamps too. Because food cost alot. Lol
