I have a habit of mubling whenever I talk, combined with my deep just makes it hard to follow. The original video title was "The best moblie game no one is playing" when basically everyone is pointing out that the game has 80 million downloads. So I changed the the title to be "The best mobile game no one is talking about". I just want to make it clear, YES, the community is still active and TONS of people talk about it there, but outside of that no one really talks about this game outside of random sponsorships. (When do you ever see a stranger pull out their phone and play tbc?) Although I wanted the YT tbc community to watch this video, it's main intent is to reach people who don't talk/know about this game. "Jizo has fellen off and isn't good anymore". Yes I'm aware of the growing meta, Jizo isn't in the spot light as he use to be. But he's still a very dependable unit especally in early game. Plus I only used him to prove my point in weird funny character designs. "The game is too grinding". I was actually going to make a whole section talking about the games flaws but the video was already 15 mins long. Plus every game has flaws so it's at least expected not everything will be perfect. This also goes for "why didn't you metioned this or that", I originally had a part in the script explaning the chapters and bit of lore, but it looked like it was going to add 4-5 mintues to an already long video so I scrapped it and other parts as well. At 3:30 I made a mistake on my part and didn't do enough research on Arknights and Genshin Impact to know their class rarity system or how those specific units are acquired. That's a mistake I made on my part. I did a little reserach and Wikipedia read but it wasn't enough so I'm sorry. But I did play FEH a long while back so I know what's going on there. Last, there's a bit of hate coming up from this video, it's expected with every growing video, I'm not too bothered with it.
You should've brought up how a new anti red unit allows you to completely skip early game and even some of mid game, and he's just a postman. That also would have been a great example of how some of the best units have funny designs.
I would like to point out there is some popular TH-camrs that play the battle cats and we also have the battle bricks which is the battle cats but roblox. (It says inspired by battle cats in the description)
I played battle cats since the beginning literally the first month of its release as a kid and cried once I beat the first chapter because of the cutscene 😂😂
As a person who has been playing battle cats for almost 5 years it was hard for me to find people who simply played the game or heard of it. It’s nice to see how far the game has come over the past years
I’m just now making it to mid SOL and the game has a insane difficulty spike, all the levels feel like puzzles with differents niches and playstyles needed to be beaten. 10/10 experience tho
TBC community has been growing and the content creators are starting to acnowledge each other, aswel as seeing the Spanish community wildly growing sometime in the recent past. As a fellow Battle Cats enjoyer, all I can say is: thank you for playing the cat game :D
Love how most cats end up getting a lot of use because of the trait niches. Yeah the gacha system is one of my favorite things in the game, doesn't force you to use the highest class rarity, which prevents pay to win but also reflects how much ponos really cares for their players instead of seeing them as esay money.
@@Shizuna560super rares yes, but not ubers. But if you’re in late game, there’s no reason not to have all of the super rares in the regular gacha unless you deliberately avoid them. Even then it’s still entirely possible to beat most levels without any gacha units.

Actually surprisingly up to date, tho one thing: Jizo does sweep early game to mid and late game, but from there he starts to fall off a bit as the stages become less spammy and more boss focus, also pizza and talented dark lazer don’t help much. If you want to get dated on that prospect, a better name for controversy incarnate: Dark kasli
@@christopherdangelo1292I would say dasli is the best Uber for UL but for late game event stages like heavenly tower and advents ubers like the phonos and balrog are slightly better, I personally use them more as I have most good ubers in the game

There's only so much I could talk about so I'll leave more info here. Even though this game isn't story focus, there's little snip bits of lore in stage names and character discriptions, it's nothing too intense, but it's interesting. Even if stages are formatted in 2-d, stages aren't played out by "send strong unit, strong unit kills boss, beat stage". A lot of stages puts you in your toes with different variables, like the money amount you're limited too based on how little units they send out, or having a boss with a deadly attack that activates when you hit it. This game isn't a push over, there are a ton of stages that make you want to chuck your device out the window. The game isn't pay to win, I went through the entire thing without spending a penny. Ponos is such a wonderful studio, nothing that they do or put out as marketing ever feels pushy or forced.
Everything about the game speaks about the uniqueness of good mobile games, plus they constantly have collabs with other franchises and GIVE OUT FREE STUFF SO OFTEN! (Cat food, xp)
I agree but with every game comes with cons. First of all, treasure grinding is incredibly boring and grindy, taking hours up to days of your life to do. They are always worth it to do but just annoying. (Empire of cats also has 3 chapters that are basically the same I think they should change chapter 2 and 3's stages a little bit) but beyond that point, the game becomes pretty fun to play and even more fun when you reach mid-late SOL. Theres also more cons I can talk about but im too lazy.

Ok 2 things to say 1 ponos dont really do much in terms of marketting mostly having collabs and the 3 unit poll vote most collabs they did are with dead games or actual cool stuff but other than that its really empty in terms of marketting they rely on word of mouth(like this video) and 2 Why is teacherbear Cat in the beggining when its showing a begginer loadouts thats a merciless advent unit💀
It is a game that is everywhere yet nowhere at the same time Millions of players play it yet only 2-3 notible people can show it existence yet ther is a large community in it there are small yet important people contributing to this day This is what makes battle cats what it is
You forgot to mention this but the gacha part of the game can be completely avoided. Most players nowadays use an "exploit" called seed tracking that allows you to see EVERY cat in you gacha, meaning no rng. This also hasn't been adressed by Ponos ever meaning they're chill with it
Most YT strategies for hard stages have a no-gacha/uber strat, also I don't think Ponos is on board with seed tracking, but again there's not much they can do about it.

Idk how to say this without sounding rude, but I'm noticing a pattern in how you end sentences, where you extend the last syllable of a sentence until it gets quiet. Like "Catfruuuit", or "Stonnnes" Once I noticed it it became really hard to ignore
I have about 600 hours on the game. Have finished every story stage expect for zombie invasions and 2-4 UL. It is still pretty fun to play even in end game. Also great video. Even though it was 15 minutes the editing style made it feel short.

Ontop of being one of the most free to play gacha out there, there’s a way to use your gacha seed to see what you might get on certain banners and plan accordingly, kinda like cheating the system. This has been unpatched for years, and the devs have never tried to patch it (other than once years back where they changed the system, but that wasn’t them trying to patch it out by any means)
I've been playing this game for about 8 years now. You really explained pretty much everything important about the game there is to say! I really like it when people talk about this game, imo it doesn't get nearly as much love as it deserves. Thank you for making this video and making people see what a masterpiece this game truly is!
In this video you point out how battle cats is really intuitive, and I generally agree, as I believe over all it boasts a pretty good game design, but the _one_ thing that new players need to be warned about is not the grinding, but how overwhelming the many progression options can be after you're done with Empire of Cats (the first 3 main story chapters). There's a ton of event stages in the Legends section and it's hard to wrap your head around them at the very start. Cyclone stages, advents, evolve stages - including crazed/manic/lil/malevolent cats, farming stages, random heavenly tower/citadel/monthly gauntlets... Among many others. We're lucky enough as a community to have great guide-makers to kinda nudge us in the right direction. I went from being incredibly stuck in mid-SoL/ItF and not really understanding event stages back in the day (admittedly, being quite a bit younger), to making a new save a couple of months back and steamrolling through SoL, a ton of advent bosses, clearing floor 40 of HT, and so on. I experienced this first hand and I am so thankful of the couple of videos I watched to catch me back up on the content updates I missed and solving so many of the problems I had back then with progression and team-building.
I’m sad I can’t play because in my country it got deleted i used to play the game but then I reset my iPad and lost it permanently I wish ponos brings it back and it’s a amazing game

Ive played battle cats on and off since like 2014. Even though I often get burned out on it I will always consider it in my top 5 favourite games ever. It’s such a comfort game with chill gameplay and it’s just perfect. Plus you’re basically never done because there’s so much to do
All you need to know is this: You get cat Send cat out to defeat some insane animal that doesn't even look like an animal anymore Lose Go back in Lose again Get good And win That's all you need to know
This game takes incredible resilience and time. But it is oh so worth it. Beating a hard or bs stage is such a liberating feeling no matter what kind of weird stupid strategy you had to use to beat it. Even seemingly useless cats can be useful sometimes for those super hard stages that you don’t quite know how to beat cause you haven’t explored your options. This game really makes you take a step back and realize that rare units like ubers are not always the best and that you need actual strategy to beat the stages. The battle cats experience is so worth it.
It's been 9 years since i know this game and i don't regret a second of gameplay of this, i did everything, finished the game, made custom units with BCU, played mods, made a mod, this game is my Whole childhood and i would've been a worse person if i didn't play this

Thats just show how shallow your progress is. The game requires high level of mostly super rare and spesific niche uber later on

Well it depends on where you live! I haven't seen anyone play tbc in my area but I have seen a lot of people play brawl stars with their friends here.

This game isn't a push over, there are a ton of stages that make you want to chuck your device out the window.
The game isn't pay to win, I went through the entire thing without spending a penny.
Ponos is such a wonderful studio, nothing that they do or put out as marketing ever feels pushy or forced.
Everything about the game speaks about the uniqueness of good mobile games, plus they constantly have collabs with other franchises and GIVE OUT FREE STUFF SO OFTEN! (Cat food, xp)
I agree but with every game comes with cons. First of all, treasure grinding is incredibly boring and grindy, taking hours up to days of your life to do. They are always worth it to do but just annoying. (Empire of cats also has 3 chapters that are basically the same I think they should change chapter 2 and 3's stages a little bit) but beyond that point, the game becomes pretty fun to play and even more fun when you reach mid-late SOL. Theres also more cons I can talk about but im too lazy.

Ok 2 things to say 1 ponos dont really do much in terms of marketting mostly having collabs and the 3 unit poll vote most collabs they did are with dead games or actual cool stuff but other than that its really empty in terms of marketting they rely on word of mouth(like this video) and 2

You forgot to mention this but the gacha part of the game can be completely avoided. Most players nowadays use an "exploit" called seed tracking that allows you to see EVERY cat in you gacha, meaning no rng. This also hasn't been adressed by Ponos ever meaning they're chill with it
since gatcha is predetermined theres no reson to do anything about it they can see what thhey are gonna get if they want
Most YT strategies for hard stages have a no-gacha/uber strat, also I don't think Ponos is on board with seed tracking, but again there's not much they can do about it.
Do keep in mind, this exploit takes out any fun in rolling an uber, so only use this exploit as a last resort 👌

Idk how to say this without sounding rude, but I'm noticing a pattern in how you end sentences, where you extend the last syllable of a sentence until it gets quiet. Like "Catfruuuit", or "Stonnnes" Once I noticed it it became really hard to ignore

I have about 600 hours on the game. Have finished every story stage expect for zombie invasions and 2-4 UL. It is still pretty fun to play even in end game.

Ontop of being one of the most free to play gacha out there, there’s a way to use your gacha seed to see what you might get on certain banners and plan accordingly, kinda like cheating the system. This has been unpatched for years, and the devs have never tried to patch it (other than once years back where they changed the system, but that wasn’t them trying to patch it out by any means)

In this video you point out how battle cats is really intuitive, and I generally agree, as I believe over all it boasts a pretty good game design, but the _one_ thing that new players need to be warned about is not the grinding, but how overwhelming the many progression options can be after you're done with Empire of Cats (the first 3 main story chapters). There's a ton of event stages in the Legends section and it's hard to wrap your head around them at the very start. Cyclone stages, advents, evolve stages - including crazed/manic/lil/malevolent cats, farming stages, random heavenly tower/citadel/monthly gauntlets... Among many others. We're lucky enough as a community to have great guide-makers to kinda nudge us in the right direction. I went from being incredibly stuck in mid-SoL/ItF and not really understanding event stages back in the day (admittedly, being quite a bit younger), to making a new save a couple of months back and steamrolling through SoL, a ton of advent bosses, clearing floor 40 of HT, and so on. I experienced this first hand and I am so thankful of the couple of videos I watched to catch me back up on the content updates I missed and solving so many of the problems I had back then with progression and team-building.
As a old player that recently returned after retirement for 5 years, I’m happy the battle cat still alive

Ive played battle cats on and off since like 2014. Even though I often get burned out on it I will always consider it in my top 5 favourite games ever. It’s such a comfort game with chill gameplay and it’s just perfect. Plus you’re basically never done because there’s so much to do

This game takes incredible resilience and time. But it is oh so worth it. Beating a hard or bs stage is such a liberating feeling no matter what kind of weird stupid strategy you had to use to beat it. Even seemingly useless cats can be useful sometimes for those super hard stages that you don’t quite know how to beat cause you haven’t explored your options. This game really makes you take a step back and realize that rare units like ubers are not always the best and that you need actual strategy to beat the stages. The battle cats experience is so worth it.
It's been 9 years since i know this game and i don't regret a second of gameplay of this, i did everything, finished the game, made custom units with BCU, played mods, made a mod, this game is my Whole childhood and i would've been a worse person if i didn't play this
