These cases are great for those that change cases frequently. Could be great for those that are trying to match their cases to their outfits. I’ve used many cheap, clear and minimal cases and they’ve lasted years. I have used some of the silicone Apple Cases that I bought straight from a physical Apple Store only for them to fall apart in a few months.
THANK YOU FOR THIS ! this video was somewhat insulting especially for me who just buys off-brand cases to save money (since i got my phone on installment). lots of off-brand cases are actually super high quality and this was a bit of an exaggeration.

yeah, i bought a silicone case for my se 2020. it was cute (pink) and felt nice, but eventually the silicone kinda bubbled or maybe got weak, and then tore in multiple spots at the sides and back, and the silicone rubber part started peeling away from the hard shell in the bottom left corner 🫠 i bought a cheaper silicone case off amazon that i’ve had for a year and it worked way better.

That said, definitely look into their recasetify program (15% off if you send in an old case), and if that's still out of the budget (because mine was a splurge), I've seen some on Amazon that look promising.

My partner does the same my cases from AliExpress last ages his doesn’t last it’s always a black flip case the edges get ruined the flip part near the camera always breaks away from the back of the case

I know, ihpnes are already expensive, so someone that is willing to spend his/her money on one, might have the money to buy a good case, not necessarily an official one, but sometimes someone might need one Iphone to work or might save months of his/her wage to buy one for wanting so much and will just need one case. You're so right though. The only thing I could say is that don't ever buy some of these for more than $5-10 from companies online because usually it's dropshipping. I get them straight from aliexpress (and of course, doing the proper research for the model i have, reviews, etc) and even if I wait for a bit to get them it's worth the price. (and phone stores - not retail ones- also get them in bulk from aliexpress / alibaba and overprice them like crazy.) I saw some cases here i would totally get if i had an iPhone. As someone who doesn't go out as much and only stays at home, the cutesy cases can be a real treat especially if you like changing them often. A lot of them also do pretty well in protecting your phone as long as you're not chucking it across the room.
