The real reason we have such limited options in character customisation is to appease the SJWs. After disgustifying female Ryder in order to make the SJW community happy do you really think they're going to give us the option to modify the template and make her the least bit pretty? Noooooooooooope! This is Autismware we're talking about!
Don't listen to Zim, he doesn't eat my waffles. Anyway, you were never able to edit default Shepard either. Which was sad, but it was because they created shepard NOT using their own character creator. Mostly the main character is always made by the team not using the in-game character creator, so you couldn't make them even if you tried. Nothing about SJW's or anything like that. It's just that the models for the defaults are real actors recreated by the team and not the in-game creator.
Not true. The reason is that Bioware was behind in production and EA didn't want them to push the game till summer of 17. This whole SJW bullshit is just white men realizing that what they want doesnt matter.
@@craigharris41 Nah i don't think so about that last part. Some stuff does have an SJW agenda, an attempt to write white people out of history and media because of a sense of guilt or misguided empathy for people of color, and replace them with "diverse" characters based on skin color, because apparently a diversity of personality and diversity of personal character doesn't matter anymore, hence why most modern movies and media that comes out are absolute trash that not even colored folks can relate to in any sensible manner. It has nothing to do with people not caring what white males want, white males literally make a majority of the SJW media you see. Now, Mass Effect Andromeda suffered from lack of time management, i will agree.
@@Invad3rzim58 Replying to a 4 year old comment, but no it wasn't. It was just some dickhead thinking it would offend someone, when it didn't offend anyone. It wasn't for SJWs lmfao
How did they fuck up her default character model? Have you seen the woman they paid for her likeness? She's gorgeous, and they completely fucked her up.
@@xXN0SK1LLZXx For real, not everything is racist. In a game where you can customize your character, it literally does not even matter what color the default character is. You can make Scott, Sara and Alec brown, asian, latino, or whatever you want.
Great tutorial! I hate creating a character that looks okay at first, but that I get fed up with 10 hours in. Hopefully following these tips will prevent that!
the fact that there are so many videos of "how to make an attractive Sara Ryder" is so funny to me, like how could Bioware fuck this up so bad to get to this point :'D yours look surprisingly great though, I'm def gonna use it
Thankyou so much for this! Was driving myself crazy with creating my character , with every cutscene there was always some feature that looked just slightly not right and I'd go back and try to tweak something and fail miserably.
Thank heavens for Head 10 which makes both Ryders look great. As with any head design, there are some scenes where they look bone ugly due to over exposure or due to really crappy animation in the face but overall I think Head 10 is a massive improvement over the default sets that we had with release.
I like it. :) One of the top reasons I've avoided ME:A is I can't find a good attractive main character. (I play female as male... sue me) Maybe try this sometime.
Thanks so much for this. I couldn't get anything as great as my ME1/2/3 character but at least managed to salvage one that at least doesn't look like she was hit by the ugly stick. Hours of looking at an ugly protagonist would be painful. I at least managed to maintain a bit of family resemblance and like you, went for the great red hair.
How can i make her have a tiny bit less of a tan? I like having a tan over her being pale so that is very good but i do like just a little bit less of a mid dark tan. Can people choice Albino to Very Dark Tan or is it only mid to high?
I just did this and spent 10x more time on that abomination that was my "sister" lol. I couldn't bare to look at her all game lol. Now she's a great twin that I can be the over protective brother of!!!
I'm livid that they got rid of the preset for this, I always used that one as a base and now I cant get my Ryder to look the same as she was. Do you plan to make another of these with the new presets?
This was great to base my Ryder off of but they changed the presets. Would you consider making a new one to fit those, or are you stopping here? Regardless, thanks for making it, it was very useful :)
Anyone else fed up of them using the same hairstyle for every character creation? Yes it’s pretty but I honestly think there are better ones, and I don’t mean mods, I mean the hairstyles from the vanilla game
Hey there, nice video. By any chance did you upload this character using the in-game upload... thingy.. and made it public? If so what did you call it?
When I first played it I missed the part where they mentioned they were siblings. Made the female look like an Asian clown while I was a white guy... guess she was adopted.
Why the hell you got to build the character whilst we are watching. Build her first then go through the presets. Gets so confusing I go or right 10.00 on her eyes oh wait now you've dropped it down to 4.00 like God I'm trying to do this whilst watching your vid and you don't even have the common sense to just do the character before hand and then show the results
I feel your pain As a brown person thats usually been my problem throughout my life with makeup, "nude" clothing, barbies, hair dyes, beauty products, films, games etc life in general. Though the world is getting a bit more colour representation now it still doesnt reflect true society.
@@tashar3210 I have just come to the conclusion that in media and in life it is impossible to represent everybody because there are too many different types of people. White people have so many variations, so do blacks, asians, latinos, arabs, etc. Honestly, as much as i sympathize with the fact that people want characters and stuff that they can relate to based on how they look, i think we should be able to relate to characters on more than just the basis of skin color. I am white, but i am perfectly fine with playing as characters of color, as long as they are not just forced diversity characters and have good backstory and character traits.
I’ve been watching your tutorials for a lot of my character creations! You’ve made unforgettable characters and I thank you greatly for it 🥰
I don't understand why we can't use Sara Ryder as a basic template along with the other presets

just because you make a "lighter" or white character. Doesn't make you a racist. it's cool I've made a "darker" or black character.
My guy. We need more lads like you telling it how it is

Thank you so much, you're best thing that happened to the Mass Effect series.
Well that's just wrong
Thanks! This is the best tutorial on this I have found! It looks really great!
Thanks! Years later still helped people make a cool looking Sara (I basically ended up with the stater Sara but nicer looking)
Thank you. I'm not great at character create and was going crazy trying to not have them look like they met the bad end of a frying pan.
Oh wow the character creation and customization of male and female commander ryder in the game are awesome.
This applies to preset 5 too! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks alot! My Girlfriend is overjoyed to have this template to start with instead of the shitty presets!!
Thankyou so much for this! Was driving myself crazy with creating my character , with every cutscene there was always some feature that looked just slightly not right and I'd go back and try to tweak something and fail miserably.
We need Miranda and Ashley Williams back from the original ME franchises. They were babes.
Thank you thank you thank you!
I'm glad I don't have to cringe anymore at every convo.
Nice, you pretty much went down the same path as me with those sliders. looks good :)
I so expected a how to delete Andromeda and reinstall Mass Effect tutorial.
lololololol I've only gotten as far as the intro so far and not impressed XD
GPG Shepard I played the multiplayer the entire time, it's actually very good.
David Stratton I loved the multiplayer in ME3 - haven't tried this one yet but glad to hear it's good
Post Eos the game is vastly improves. Kinda fails to why they made a big deal about eos.
Thanks to you, i now have a Sara Ryder to play with my second play though. My first was with Scott. I made him quite well, he Looks like me.
Could you please do a male rider too? I need all of the help!
Best Ryder I've seen!! Thank you so much for sharing because I can't for the life of me make a good Ryder XD
Your character straight up looks like Eva Mendes

yes plz lol
This is awesome you got a new subscriber :D
this helps a LOT, ty
very babeish. You did great considering what you had to work with! You think this will be something that gets fixed down the road?
Thank you for your help!
I can't believe I played through this game with some bug eyed mess and then I watch this vid and within ten mins she's looks normal.
thank you, great tuto !
If you want you can look at my custom Sara and Scott Ryder's here
masseffectarchives.com/en_US/heroes/mea#
Just made my femRyder with this preset but made her bald and I mean she looks amazing...thanks so much!
This was great to base my Ryder off of but they changed the presets. Would you consider making a new one to fit those, or are you stopping here? Regardless, thanks for making it, it was very useful :)
I made Shepard a blonde female version of Marilyn Manson but hopefully I can make Ryder better
I have 10 head-presets and none of which looks like your number 9...
Yeah, an update changed the game a lot. Just use the 9 preset and follow the same directions. The end result looks about the same.
Anyone else fed up of them using the same hairstyle for every character creation? Yes it’s pretty but I honestly think there are better ones, and I don’t mean mods, I mean the hairstyles from the vanilla game

Next please upload a vid on how to make ME:A an attractive game
Rafal Radolinski that's impossible on so many levels
I'm bringing sexy back
this is awesome thank you :)
thx for the video. You do "um" a ton though. Not a dig, but it was noticeable.
Fantastic. Do you plan on doing Scott?
Say No to Brack girls, must move slider all the way left :P
When I first played it I missed the part where they mentioned they were siblings. Made the female look like an Asian clown while I was a white guy... guess she was adopted.
Just do what I did and make everything maxed... heh.
My hero
Thank u so much)
create one for male
you made eva mendes
I'm sick of bioware's sexism.
looks like Eva mendes
Great, considering how shit CC is you did awesome job! SUB

All the skin tones are too dark. I can't create a white character like default Sara,
LilPorcelynDoll Yeah they are all too dark.I have light complexion and ginger, brown hair but its impossible to get that with character creator.
