We might be able to clear up why they exist!
In short, VITURE XR glasses are a bigger, better way to play on almost any device, and VITURE Pro takes that experience one step further than our last generation.
Taking the Switch for example: a 135" full HD virtual display beats a 6.2" 720p LCD screen any day! And on other handhelds (like the ROG Ally you used the video) you can actually just plug straight in, no Mobile Dock required.
But our XR glasses aren't just for handheld consoles - they're also compatible with smartphones, tablets, laptops and other devices like our Neckband companion. And aside from gaming, they're a great way to get some work done in our virtual productivity suite (our SpaceWalker app is free on iOS, Android, macOS, and coming soon to Windows) or catch up on the latest episodes of your favorite show or catch up on your movie watchlist in a portable virtual cinema.
Hopefully this clears things up a bit!

Personally I want these to play FFX while in bed. A new spoiled low for me, but the heart wants what the heart wants.

Thank you for always giving your honest opinions on products that people send you and pointing out drawbacks. I never feel like you're trying to sell us a product to get in a company's good books. Appreciate it!

Actually you don't need the dock for devices support direct dp output like ROG Ally, Steam Deck or phones, seems only Switch need the dock

Retro break can you play first-person shooter (doom clone) and third-person shooter on the eyewear?

You don't need the dock for the ROG Ally. Just plug them in directly.
Why, you may ask, when the handheld already has a screen?
1.) You can set the glasses as the primary display. The glasses use less energy than the screen so when you plug in the glasses, the internal screen turns off.
2.) Laying down. Far more comfortable to lay down with your head back than to lay down with your head cricked forward or holding the device above your face. You can also maintain your posture in a seated position, so you don't have to look down at your phone or handheld. You can rest your device on your lap while you look straight forward.
3.) Privacy on public transit. Only you see what's on your device. When the audio is difficult to discern for others especially if there is ambient engine and traffic noise.
Other perks include a higher refresh rate and contrast if you pair them with an older LCD Switch or Steam Deck.
I don't use my Deck without my Nreal Airs, and I have the Viture Pro arriving tomorrow. Looking forward to the aluminum chassis, electrochromic lenses, and larger FoV of the Pros over my current pair of glasses. I didn't foresee me leaving home without them.

I'm interested in this for emulation. Something I've never heard of people using but I've seen in two emulators is stereoscopic 3d. This mode is available in Dolphin and citra. I have no idea how the compatibility is though.

You NEVER want to "rest" those on your forehead as you did, You'll smear the crap out of the glass you're looking through.

If these were completely wireless, i could maybe kinda see the use for them on a plane maybe? Wireless controller and these could fit into your pocket while your handheld of choice is in your backpack?

Maybe for comfort if you're playing alot you dont have to like look down at the screen the whole time. you can just look straight ahead or whatevers comfortable and hold the controller in your lap or whatever

One of the most lazy review I've ever seen.
I respect those that give their thoughts after at least 1 week or 2 after using the product.

Sorry, I had to make it now as the company was asking and I’d already had it a few weeks ago, but been away on holiday.

You should just be able to connect the glasses directly to the rog ally and steam deck without going through the powerbank. At least you can with the Rokid Max. Also if you have an android handheld or phone that supports display over USBC you can connect the glasses directly to it to watch Netflix etc on a huge screen. For me that’s the selling point, more so than gaming. If you have a retroid pocket try connecting it to that! 👍

I'm a big Hand Held Gamer & i just fell in love with a 64 bit game called, BroForce & to play it on a Hand Held Screen just doesn't do it justice like how i play it at my friends house on the big screen, so i am going to have to use glasses & the Viture XR Glasses may be the way to go as it works with the Switch. i play almost a 100% laying down on my bed & so having this device right there with it will work for me, so thank for this video, as it may be what i buy next. Anyway, thanks again for the Retro Break!

If each lens could project different images then there’s a possibility of 3D I guess … and if they updated one or two retro emulators to throw two slightly different e.g. 480p perspectives down a single 1080p HDMI then that might be a winner … lots of ifs and buts though, but conceptually a VR headset with such a small footprint sounds great 👍🏼

    • @RetroBreak
      @RetroBreak  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

@sjc192 would be awesome if they could get a 3DS emulator working with this! It is capable of 3D as there’s a phone app you can use (I couldn’t try it though as it needs an iPhone 15 with USBC)
