Ill tell you what, NO ONE does theme park coverage like Fresh Baked man. I love how David is doing more knott's coverage. The Man the Myth the Legend he is!
I disagree with him frequently on some things but can't argue that he's the best at what he does by far

I think Knotts is smart to hold people accountable if they cut in line. There needs to be some sense of order. Also, the reason for chaperones for minors was due to an increase in bad behaviour. I hate to say “kids these days are different”… but kids these days are different. If I’m paying $200+ for my husband and I to enjoy the park I think it’s justifiable for me to expect respect and dignity from park patrons.
“My party is up above you in line. I need to catch up to them.” Is the line cutting script of a young person at the park.
Sunday morning and they have the barrel bridge back up, looks good too!!!
The track that he is talking about is a Maintenance track for storage only. It is for when the train needs to be worked on.
59:00 wHY I loved Knotts as a kid!
I love what Knotts has to offer. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how small the crowds are, the ride operations are so slow, often running one train, that the wait times are just always unbearable. Disney will be insanely crowded but at least the lines move.
🌞🌞🌞🌞On hot days, you will find most of the pass holders across the street at Soak City 🌞🌞🌞🌞
One other thing is now that Cedar Fair and Six Flags are merged as of July 1, it will take some time to get their stuff together. Improving the parks with better service, rides and food. I also heard that all the parks will be under the operational name of Six Flags. It will still have the Knott's Berry name and all cedar Fair parks will keep their names as well .
Hi Dave, the other kid friendly rides you forgot to mention are the spinning hat dance ,and the carousel, the bumper cars, beary tales, dragon swing, a swing on the board walk that looks like the back of a plane, and the stage coach
That Fast Lane monolith sticks out like a sore thumb in Ghost Town. At least put it in a wooden frame for some theming. Glad you're back at Knott's!
That ride you were talking about was called “Huff and puff” my daughter loved it when she was 4 years old. Aww that was 22 years ago 😢
Same! Realize they need to upgrade their rides, but I’m nostalgic about the old rides like huff and puff. My daughters are in their twenties also. At least I have photos to remember by 😊

We were just there and I was so surprised by how much love I have for Knotts!! It really is an under rated theme park!
My kids used to enjoy camp snoopy all day. They loved going ride to ride as if it was home. Now they are older they enjoy the big rides. Thank you for sharing
Nice to see some Knott's coverage! I haven't been to Knott's since the 2000's. Last time I was there I rode Silver Bullet and felt sick after. I realized I was getting too old for that kinda stuff. But the crowds(or lack of) are a breath of fresh air compared to Dland, especially with the heat. Maybe I'll take my kid here instead of Disney one of these weekends. I miss the Mystery Lodge and the time machine/dinosaur ride though.
My favorite thing about knots is the Fried chicken. It’s the bomb!. And boysenberry everything is wonderful… Lol!.
And what’s with the hour and a half Wait for a roller coaster in an empty park ? That’s NOT Good or fun !. Sheesh.

I remember live music at Disneyland, and looking over at space mountain where you had to take the escalator up to stand in line.
There are a few family rides. My kids at a young age loved Calico mine train, bumper cars, berry tales, log ride, scrambler, Calico river rapids, hat dance, carousell, All outside of camp snoopy. But i do agree they still need a few more.
Your experience with the family cutting in front of you on Casey Jr. is basically the only thing I don't like at Disneyland Paris...and I definitely noticed it happen in that video! One will be in front of you then literally 10 people will go in front of you to be with them instead of the first person hanging back and waiting for their party!! It's really frustrating cause they'll even do it after queueing for several minutes. Proper queue-barging. Poor manners.

The spinning vomit-inducing flat rides are all featured in Planet Coaster - they all feel like they're dropped in out of a computer game even though it's the other way round really. No thanks, but they do add a great kinetic energy to the park!
Knotts has other kid friendly rides outside of Camp Snoopy. Calico River Rapids, Timber Mountain log ride, Knotts Beary Tales, Bumper cars, Coast Rider, Surfside Gliders, Pony Express and not to mention some rides at Fiesta Village. They also have a Water Park across the street which is a separate park but it's alot more affordable to pay for both of these parks either just for one day or for a annual pass as opposed to Disneyland and DCA.
Has a Knott’s SP, during the summer time especially on hot days, Knott’s normally is light during the day on weekdays and Soak City is busy. But once Soak City closes, a lot of those crowds head over to Knott’s for so some Summer nights fun.

Hi David. We were in the park yesterday ( July 4th) and we had a good time. Our favorite spot was the Bear-Y-tales 3D ride. ❤
When i went there we got stuck at one of the parts on the ride for like 20 minutes lol
Loved the Suburban Legends mention. I got to see them on tour with Reel Big Fish many years ago now (Beebs was on the card too), and was blown away - such a great show! I thought it would be cool to see them somewhere at Disney after that, but I bet Knotts would be fun too (although it would probably affect the set list...). Wish I had the vacation time to come out and catch the show!

Haven’t been to Knotts in over a decade. And I was there with my family (my kids first time ever!) on the exact Monday Fresh Baked was there. Sad I didn’t see you, even though I just had a sneaking suspicion that you were there! Because that is my luck! I’ve been watching you since your beginning (11 years now!) and the few times I have been to Disneyland, always end up being the day you are there and I DON’T see you. Someday!! Fingers crossed 🤞!!
They were completely not ready for the opening date of the updated Camp Snoopy. Signage and character statues still missing, unfinished wood structures everywhere, many rides/areas still closed off, and that last minute rushed "camp" picnic area with the unfinished border walls and cabins lol. That little area of additional seating is probably going to be "temporary" , but they can still make it look really cool if they paint those cabins, add some forest theming to those unfinished wood border walls, and add some string lighting.
That's a 2-3 hour line . I was there the other day and only a few switchbacks under that station were full. Now maybe it was a fake out but we did write for 20 minutes with hardly any movement before we left.
I visited for the first time and enjoyed myself overall. But I was disappointed the bathrooms were not clean. Especially the one near the Independence Hall next to the underpass. I had to hold my breath.

Knotts and The company that owns it was recently bought out by Magic Mountain!
Knotts used to be free and when the Log Ride first opened you had to buy a ticket! I remember when it first opened
It hasn't been free to enter since the 1960s.
State Of Knott's report just made my day! Thanks! Your thoughts and comments on operations are completely spot-on! I love Knott's til death do us part, but I can't visit unless it's one of those completely empty off-season weekdays because of those operations causing unnecessary, miserable wait times. If they can ever fix that, there would be far less need for the line-jumper hotline!

That boat is very old. It originally was used for going out to the island and working on fountains and loading puto when reflection lake was there. I used it many times when I worked there. There’s probably no place to store it for now cause I bet they still use it for maintenance work out there. But I agree that lots of the new train scenery needs more landscape and such. They need to somehow block zoom views and make it fell like the lake is a part of camp snoopy instead of seeing all the other zones
Never been to Knotts, but we were at Universal Studios a few weeks ago and the line cutting was horrible. Lots of teens without a guardian and they would literally unhook the chains and 10-20 of them would just cut in line.
My favorite park I just have to go again.

The wait times on the Knott's app seem to be off (when one can access them). I want to buy the individual Fast Lane for attractions but didn't trust the wait times. I was on a Tuesday and all wait times were like 15 minutes, with less than 15 minutes on Fast Lane.
I would take knotts berry farm over Disneyland Disney world any day any time. It’s the best amusement park and will ever be the best.

Ghost Rider has been 1 train for a year, the sensor that told them when it was safe to send another broke, and they still havnt fixed it. Suburban Legends was at the last Food and Wine like 5 months ago as well
17:03 that was the Amazon one, there was a team of people watching but I’m guessing it was to monitor the tech and make sure nothing when unscanned.
I was at Knotts for my first time on Saturday and it was bonkers! I waited for 2 hours for Hang Time. I also found out that single fast lanes don’t show up until after 2 pm. I asked guest services. But it didn’t list Ghostrider. I guess you have to scan that qr code that was next to the ride entrance. I rode Ghostrider for last and waited 2 hours. They only had one train on the track. I laughed when you said 6 minutes because the guy ahead of us in line timed how long it took to cycle one transition and it was 6 minutes. I guess I should have gone on the week day but I was at Disneyland during the week.

Thanks we have been watching your knotts videos for our upcoming visit. We are not sure where to eat breakfast on the dining plan (any tips) and watching this video not sure if the fast pass thing is worth it....

The reason they have a chaperone rule is because they had major problems with fights etc. knotts wants to be a family park. I wouldn’t turn anyone in if they were holding a spot but if it was true cutting in line and I had my grandkids with me and it was our vacation with little time you bet I would text

So that extra track for the camp snoopy train is a storage track for the train cars. Also I couldn't help but hear the screeching from the train, that is the wheels scrapeing the rails, meaning that the trunk are to tight or the rails are to close together. And if I remember correctly they replaced all of that track so with that scrapeing they'll have to replace it again in a year or so.
They do run 2 coaches at times, but when that queue is full, it’s brutal.
What was that annoying sound when you were on the Beagle Express? Am I the only one who can hear it. 🤔
The squeak of the train wheels. I don't know if it's because the train is brand new (it is an electric train now, replaced the mini steam train). Some WD40 might fix it.

Wdw was so slow for the 4th. I think the heat and the prices and lack of money is affecting major parks.
I would love to see a comparison of Disney coaster operation vs other parks. Disney coasters gets people moving fast every time. Magic Mountain doesn’t care about efficiency at all. I wonder where Knotts and Universal ranks.

Last time I visited line cutting was active, and those following the rules were unhappy that the cast did nothing to curb active rule breakers. So maybe having the public report the cutters will help motivate the park workers? Had the same problem at Disney world in the past and Disneyland. Waiting for your party before you get in line seems to be a thing of the past. Simple rules broken over and over are not realy rules at all. WCDB

I sure hope they decide to finish the Camp Snoopy theater rather than cancel it. I want to see more of the Cedar Point successful approach to Camp Snoopy. I don't want to see Six Flags failed approach of "screw the customers, screw the employees, give all the money to the shareholders." I don't want to see Knott's Berry Farm to go the way of Magic Mountain. I know the two merged, I know it's called Six Flags now, but I thought the CEO of Cedar Point was in charge?
Have been going to Knott’s for the past 2 years. Haven’t been to Disneyland since a year before Covid. It just got unreasonably expensive and Genie + took out any desire to go.
My kids really like Knott’s and Soak City. APs were considerably cheaper than one day at Disneyland with no blackouts and no need to reserve.
I think the park is comparable to Disney Parks. It certainly conveys California better than DCA. Disney should have just bought Knott’s rather than build DCA. Probably been more cost effective.
Anyway I like Knott’s. No regrets. I don’t think I’ll visit Disneyland for a long time.
The Knott Family refused to sell to Disney thus opening the door for Cedar Faire to purchase Knott's.

I only went to Knotts during the Halloween season...I prefer Disneyland.
Dave there is one ride in Fiesta village that you and your daughter can ride is The Happy sombreros it's like the tea cups at Disney. Also they have been cleaning up the track with power washers and removing it for the upgrade.
Increase the wait time for the ride by only running one train destroys the magic.
Knotte makes you wait an hour and a half by only running one train. So no matter how long the line is knots can still make you wait like the park was crowded. Disappointing. Knowing that the wait time is artificially made longer makes me not want to go to knots

Agreed. The Fun House, treehouse, the elevated suspension bridges, the Reflection Lake that the small train went completely around, the steamboat ride through the lake...it was great.
While Knotts needs to tighten up their operations, at least they haven't become the soulless, "efficient" machine that Disney has become. I like a park that has some rough edges, but, Knotts has a few too many underutilized areas at present. Their management needs to walk the park more, with an eye to "plussing" areas like Walt Disney always did. Oh, and glad to hear they are still committed to live music.
Sheesh those kid rides in Camp Snoopy move at a Snails pace.... They could have made them a couple notches faster

It's funny I could do the Supreme Scream or the Malibboomer at DCA no problem but I cannot do the Guardians of the Galaxy Tower of terror. I think it's just the up and down and up and down. Doing it once, going up and dropping one time is fine

I don’t think Walter and Cordelia (Knott) ever got to experience camp snoopy. What are the odds that the founders of both Socal theme parks were both named Walter? And Lillian and Cordelia are both musical names, primed to make baby naming comeback.
What does the single fast pass for a ride cost?
it's demand pricing, but I think probably around $20? I couldn't find out on this day because the app wasn't functioning.
all the parks Disneyland , Knott's Berry Farm , Magic Mountain, Sea World and other parks across the U.S, has it's days lot of people and not as many......the parks for the most part are with people on vacation , retired or a day off from work.........., then you have people busy with the their jobs. during the week they will not be at the parks.... I used to go to Disneyland about two times a Year and was busy with my job the rest of the time..........I was not lucky to visit the park weekly like Fresh Baked does. I wish I could do that.

It’s crazy to me that it will cost me $70 to visit knotts in a couple weeks and then if I want the fast pass it’s not only more expensive, but 120% the price of entry on top of the park admission!
The fact that it’s so expensive makes fewer people buy it. So there is minimal impact on the regular standby line. In my experience, not many people buy Fastlane so it doesn’t slow down the regular line as much as Fastpass or Lighting lane does at Disney Parks.
I don’t ever buy Fastlane. Never felt like I needed it.

I don't understand why Knotts operations are so bad other than poor training ot TMs or something. Because I've ridden two other coasters in the same model as Xcelrator with dual load station where two trains at a time are loaded and those ops are great. I've also ridden a bunch of cossters by the people who renovated Ghostrider and those ops are great at other parks too.
