I don’t know why everyone is now ok with unfinished products. Videos games, movies, music, and theme parks now are all being rushed for no apparent reason.
They need to open things when they are done. We all don’t mind waiting.

The new bathrooms around the park have been awesome. One really big positive thing about all these renovations.
This is so disappointing and unbecoming of Knott's. I have no idea why they would open a land that's only 30% complete and choose to cancel the beautiful theatre only to give us a Home Depot parking lot in its place. Knott's is supposed to be better than this...did Chapek get a job there? This is definitely a stain on their reputation and I fear with Six Flags taking over, it will only get worse.
Why does everyone keep getting confused on the merger? Cedar Fair controls the merged company. They just took the Six Flags name. The old Six Flags does not run Knott’s.
We shall see how the merger affects the parks but cedar fair does have the majority stake in the company.
I think this was something else behind the scenes.
Really disappointing showing by Knotts. What’s crazy is that they removed an attraction and the original stage show for a picnic area that brings no value
I hope in the future they can build the theater and keeping my fingers crossed that in the next few weeks they finish everything up.

Even the snoopy statue near the entrance looks mediocre and unfinished. The snoopy canoe that was on the waterfall was already good. Why mess with it?

I’m very disappointed in Knott’s Berry for I’m not completing everything considering it was their chance to shine over Disneyland by them not doing anything to really improve the park that well. If they needed a little bit more time, they should’ve just taken it and making it look really good in time for the Olympics coming in four years. I doubt Disneyland’s gonna offer anything for the Olympic at all. That’s what makes me disappointed and Knotts berry farm. Also, can you address what happened with the plans of building a big roller coaster and stuff I would like to know about that and maybe do long because that was exciting.
Nobody is shining over Disneyland other than universal being a competitor. They just needed more time.
Thank you for bringing up the 15+ year old Giga-Coaster rumor. That would be an amazing "largest investment in Knotts history" type of project... If the new cedar fair/Six Flags company thinks that their largest attended park in their portfolio is worthy of such a large investment.
Judging by the way this project has gone, the Montezooma debacle, and the 2 year long closure if Xcelerator which retired with STILL only 1 train, I don't have high hopes.
Knott's is a guaranteed cash cow because of it low prices & uncompromising easy on the consumer map plan. You just can't beat it, and they know it. That's why they invest VERY minimally in the park, and that business strategy continues to work.
I have 2 kids, single parent, and I can tell you first hand, by far, Knotts is THE best value for families. Period.
I just wish the updates to the park were more consistent & complete. Rides need to be more reliable & high capacity.
Operations DESPERATELY needs to be reformed inside and out.
They need to incentivize having faster dispatch times across all the ride-ops in park, motivate them to work faster and more efficiently
I'm am ex ride op of Knotts, at Xcelerator. We took GREAT pride in moving the line as quickly as possible....this current gen in lacks the same motivation and passion...hiwever,cat Disneyland management has done a great job instilling amongst their cast the pride of legacy and guest expectations of their park, everyone buys into that idea, and you have amazing ops over there.
They won’t shine over Disneyland because that’s not their goal.
But at the end of the day Knott’s should be finishing projects as one big reveal and not something that opens in phases.
Cedar Fair is in disarray, apparently. I concur the merger directly impacted the construction plans. The management team has to reauthorize all development plans and budgets.
Well now that the merger is done things should be finished soon. At least I hope.

But the nature of these mergers of equals is typically one of turf wars by managers politically engaged in: 1) of survival; 2) of new turf claims and power. Meanwhile, not too much concern is given to customers, shocking but nonetheless it’s the truth. In this day and age of the incredible shrinking job market, the corporate musical chairs game has its objectives, corruption, and its losers. Since the merger phenomenon began in 80s, customers have been on losing end frequently. Knott’s Berry Farm may not develop or maintain the reputation local guests have come to expect.

What a pathetic opening honestly. Fiesta Village set a high bar, but they did the limbo right under it! “how low can you go” indeed. Hopefully this is a minor bump and they get their stuff together quickly.
Did knotts know it was the grand opening?? I don’t know about all these fake turf areas, including at Toon town at Disneyland. They end up not being very appealing, and then not utilized, or people park their strollers there.
Yup, a play area or show space would have been better.
I guess the Six Flags influence is starting to take affect.

I really feel like Knotts felt that they can't miss summer season when it's only gonna hurt them. Cutting the theater & patio was a hurtful hit to everyone. And I honestly wish they kept the camp bus over Woodstock airmail, just cuz of how it truly fit the theme of going to camp with the characters on the windows.
They should’ve done a proper phased reopening instead of just throwing stuff together at the last minute and calling it a grand reopening.
08:00 I wholeheartedly thank you & appreciate your focus on the "bathroom talk", I've been a huge advocate for that across the entire knott's property & urinal deviders for the men's restrooms.
Yes ladies, there are STILL some men's restrooms at Knotts that don't have dividers, it's just an open social thing going on...I'm looking at the xcelerator, information~main gate, marketplace~build-a-bear, log-ride, soak city~parking lot tunnel entrance restrooms for refurbishment next.
I do miss your "Giga" at Knotts jokes, it kept the spirit of that dream alive in the hearts and minds of many OC/LA coaster enthusiasts, AKA "thusies" like myself 😊
The main gate restrooms need it SO bad. Especially since due to their location they are probably the most used restrooms in the park! And it looks like it. And the Xcelerator ones are just ugly and have always looked temporary to me. It has the look and feel of temporary trailer restrooms at concerts. Those two would be at the top of my list.
So happy that the restrooms are getting the makeover they deserve.
WOW!...Talk a bout "Half-Ass" job just so they could open on time!.....Knott's should of just been more Transparent and just let everyone know what is going on....And that things are still happening but will be delayed...That weak looking "so-called" picnic area looks way out of place and they "half-assed" that area too!.....

Not possible at this point. And we have to remember that Cedar Fair will hold the majority stake in the company.
So I’m thinking the merger had something to do with it but specifically about it going through or not. Maybe that’s why projects at certain parks were halted just in case.
If they were going to rush it open before full completion...They SHOULD have opened it on July 1st...the day when Camp Snoopy originally opened back in 1983.
Just those few days...they could have put up the Camp Snoopy Sign...the clock in front of the shop...put some shade and other changes to that big grass super heater area...which really should have had some bigger trees planted around...and they could have had the train up and running!
I hope on my next visit more things are complete. The signage should at least be finished.
Sunday morning and the barrel bridge is back, looks good too!!!, AND they moved that boat you said was out of scale from the newish train ride.
BTW...loading takes longer than the actual ride!!!!
Agreed they made the camp snoopy in a rush and they should have taken there time to build it

The jeeps look way better than the semi trucks, but it's unfortunate that they got rid of the pump cart ride. I remember riding that as a kod.

Its a shame they got rid of the Lgb train at the camp snoopy store. Even mc donalds down the road got rid of all the trians..
You noticed all the minor changes like lamps and windows lol. We didnt see any real change at all besides the coaster. In fact, my kid was sad that the air mail ride was gone. We didn't go to an amusement park to buy merchandise and hang out in the bathroom.
One day Mystery Lodge will reopen. I’m thinking in 10 years lol 😂

The train was running Saturday.
I did see people climbing on the rocks near the waterfalls. There was even a kid sitting above the Cave In. They need to close that off.

I don’t think so. If anything they will just continue to roll things out.
I get that they wanted to open in time for the July crowds, but they should've waited til EVERYTHING was ready. Even by Knott's standards, this re-opening is embarrassing.
Yeah I think waiting would have been wayyyyy better. I’ll be back at the park soon to check up on the progress though. Curious to see what has been finished since this video.
Restroom upgrading is seriously needed at 6 flags mm the one by Superman heading to Ninja is so ughhhh
They have been working on some of them which is nice.
Also, they put up umbrellas, touched up the walls to match the theme green and brown colors and the stage wall has had minor work done so far. Yay! Lol
At least they have done something to help that area out. I’ll be back at the park soon to check it out.

Cedar Fair has controlling interest. So despite the naming, don’t be confused. Cedar Fair runs Six Flags. Not that there is much difference in how they run things these days.
Remember that Cedar Fair still owns the majority of the company.

I still think the park is great overall especially during the off season. Right now it’s just very busy.

Well you can see the effects of the new Cedar Fair & Six Flags merger. Camp Snoopy now looks like Magic Mountain. Theming? Who needs it!

We know. But they had a media day with a half assed opening. Waterfalls and bridge in shambles. 50% of the new rides closed. Just embarrassing.
We wish they would’ve done a canoe attraction somewhere. Front of camp snoopy is sad. Imagine if Disney did this.

I think they are sandblasting 50 years and multiple layers of paint.
I can’t understand how Knott’s dropped the ball so bad on getting everything up and running on time. Most of the project area sat with very little activity for months at a time. Just disappointing.
Clearly something happening behind the scenes that we are not really aware of. Hoping things can get finished up in the next few weeks.
You should go check out the newly updated Kings Island Camp Snoopy. I was just there for the first time in a while and it looked amazing! And it was finished

i get the feeling knotts was probably behind schedule. they were cutting pretty close with feista and i think they probably fell into the same trap with camp snoopy. either way, it was long overdue.
At the end of the day it’s nice to see upgrades but they gotta stop this phased opening thing.
A soft opening to let guests experience what is ready and a grand opening once everything is complete would have been better.

As an AP holder I am reevaluating if I want to renew. I can't ride any of the new rides. I'm 6'2
I am honestly glad I did not renew. Especially because of their policies that just recently took fact, where they cannot help people with disabilities physically get on the attractions. They can verbally do it. But if an operator has to touch me to help me get on a ride, I would be fine with it as long as they asked for consent.
To be fair the new rides in camp snoopy are geared towards the little ones. There is still a lot at Knott’s you can ride. And hey they might add some bill thrill rides after this.
Knotts has to keep up with Disney, so they gotta rush things it’s sad but true
They don’t really need to keep up with Disney more or less just make sure their own product is well polished. Here there was clearly a dropped ball when it comes to grand re openings.
This Looks BETTER thank what was done (left undone) at Toontown,. Towntown REMOVED two beautiful interactive water fountains, and DIDN'T even provice picnic benches!!!! Even though camp snoopy is incomplete, they still did it better than Toontown! lol

I haven’t been on Tiana’s yet so besides having an opinion on POV’s I can’t really say much more right now.
Come on, they did a great job on the new kiddie coaster's theming and details! The new bathrooms, definitely needed, got done on time. Yes, the undone theater part looks terrible, but let's not only focus on negativity.
They did a great job with some things, not everything. Bathrooms, new coaster and gift shop are really nice highlights. Unfinished rides, show spaces and play areas are not a good look. That’s why I said I hope soon they can finish everything this summer.
The problem is trying to appease this generation of spoiled, vlogging, comment complainers will never work. If they received that same energy they would literally break down. These parks are made for KIDS. Maybe if people stop going every other day and could just enjoy the park from a different perspective they could enjoy it

The parks are made for kids, families and adults. Camp snoopy may be for kids yes but parents have to take them and pay a lot to go. If a good number of camp snoopy rides and attractions are down it’s good for the parents to know this also. Nothing wrong with an honest review of an unfinished product. It’s weird when these companies charge full price for so many closures and issues sometimes. Like Disneyland has 2 of its biggest attractions down mansion and splash/tianas. Imagine going and then rise or Matterhorn goes down too. These closures suck when we pay full price and have different expectations. When half of camp snoopy is/was closed that caused great strain on the other kids rides which meant much longer lines to take our kids on rides. Knots already has terrible lines most of the busy times.
And epic universe will be a great example for what a theme park should be and do upon opening. It will set a new bar for theme parks all over. Just because someone has a season pass and goes often isn’t a bad thing; especially if it’s part of their job with their content creation.

Sadly after what’s going on you can definitely feel the Cedar Executives trying to take control of operations more than the Park Operations Manager. Sucks that it’s coming to this. I miss the old Knott’s
