Speechless!!! This guy Nate Smith and his band is out of this world. Then the Singer comes in and effortlessly slays the songs like its all nursery rhymes - and to know that She Wrote the lyrics... Jeez! Of Course we're diggin' this lol.
I just saw them tonight at Monterey Jazz - just amazing! Got to chat with Nate after the show - just a super nice guy - killer drummer and band.....thank you!!!
He said the 1st two songs are unreleased. Can't wait for a new Kinfolk album. I'm sure it like everything else is going to be delayed for a while but looks like it will be worth the wait.
I cannot wait for more Kinfolk releases! I've worn out m copy of Postcards, and it's digital! Nate's easily one of the most musical drummers living right now. Such a cool player. If anyone is interested, I've been putting together a playlist of arrangements and compositions I've made around Nate's POCKET CHANGE album. You can check it out here: th-cam.com/video/4UhZ0Or1SzM/w-d-xo.html
Nate Smith - Chesapeake VA- drums John Coward -- Peducah KY - piano Fima Ephron - NYC - bass Brad Allen Williams - Memphis TN - guitar Jaleel Shaw - Philadelphia PA- saxophone Amma Whatt- NYC-Brooklyn NY- Vocals
@@Monsterdrumma I asked a similar question, as I love the tone and I think (through the power of Google) he's playing a G&L L2500 bass (he's one of their artists); through a Gallien Kruegar rig.
OMG !!!! Perfect example of real music !!! Thank U Nate&CO

22:45 Dave Holland Classic!
I hear it echoed sometimes on Chris Potter recordings. What is the name of the original?
Nevermind, he just said it. :) Juggler's parade.
Whomever disliked this video, i will find you.
where can I buy Nate Smith tshirts ?
He is on tour soon, maybe there? I hope so. :)
Solo le puedo sacar una pega, el volumen del hi hat. Por lo demás, impecable.
20:54😎
whats wrong with the hihat mic? It sounds 5db higher than everything else. wtf
The more Nate Smith in the mix the better!
he is definitively not caressing it
20:10 I want a "Nate Power Stare" to re-start the bass player in my band too. 🤣😂
