The tires are Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro's. They are a few years older but I think todays model is the same: www.schwalbetires.com/bike_tires/off-road_tires/ice_spiker_pro
@@davidmcdowell2788 Oh yeah for sure. I think they're great tires. Not sure what alternatives there are out there but I know these are regarded as being one of the best. Perhaps also check out tires from 45North as they might have a few wider options if your bike fits them (I think mine are 2.25).
I just came back from testing my fat bike. Bike came with studdable tires, I purchased bontrager studs and installed them myself super grippy , inly one steep climb was too slippery beacuse of leafs underneath. I will probably sell my 27.5x3 studded wratchild tires if someone asks two season of riding excellent shape. $300.
Hi, could you tell me a bit more about your jacket. Is it a windbreaker? We just started riding this winter and for the most part I use my skiing base layers but don't have a good jacket. Have a hard time regulating heat, finish our rides with all layers sweaty. Might have to carry clothes to change into.
Thanks for the question. The jacket I was using is a Sugoi Sub Zero jacket. It is very old and no longer in production. I would say perhaps it would be similar to this: ca-store.sugoi.com/collections/thermal-regulation/products/u720020m-firewall-260-thermal-hoody-jacket For winter riding I like to wear a base layer with a bike specific thermal jacket such as the one in the link. Best to avoid the water proof rain type jackets as they wont be too breathable. Hope this helps in your search.
@@AdventureTrailsTO thanks for taking the time to answer. Thats a really nice looking jacket and will look into it. The breathability is most important to me. So far I've only ridden in the snow twice but really enjoyed it, the trails look fun up at the don, we haven't ridden there yet.
to answer your "not sure what was under there" at 7:54 there's a new (re-purposed) bridge that goes across the hole/gully
Perfect! trail fairies are hard at work. That hole was deadly!
Excellent video
Love beaver flats
thanks great video, might be hitting it tomorrow
Get in there before the rain comes!

@@AdventureTrailsTO would you recommend them. I’ve never done winter riding.

@@thehigsy No problem! it doesn't need to be that jacket but more was suggesting that type/style. You're right - breathability is key!
