I went to Nice 2 weeks after you ( 2 weeks after the Grand Prix), and had the same thoughts. The placement of Nice is perfect for day trips. It was easy to eat dinner in one city and then have a 30-40 minutes train to another for dessert
I went to the Cote d'Azur with my sister in late April when no special events were going on. Some of the trains were so packed, I can't imagine how crazy they were during the Grand Prix! 😅
Yes, the buildings are closely packed together, but it's SO MUCH more aesthetic and walkable - and just plain livable - than 90% of the US with our endless freeways, two lane highways, strip malls, rest stops, cookie cutter suburbs, parking lots, fast food, gas stations, Walgreens and Walmarts... it's no wonder there's Prozac in most of the waterways here. 😞
i have a dying question when you go traveling in europe how do you manage the languages? i always wondered that when ever i saw travel series love your videos
this is a great question!! i’m only fluent in english, so when i am traveling i try to make sure i learn some basic words/phrases that relate to greetings, purchasing something, asking directional questions. typically people speak a little bit of english, so it hasn’t been a huge issue yet. the biggest thing though is to just be friendly, and if there is a language barrier, kindness goes a long way!
I loved the way you filmed this so much. It’s so hard to find creators who fit my style. You’ve done a great job!!
thank you so much!
