I love this video, it has a lot of info... My question is after I planted my 2 Tropical Hibiscus outside in the ground (Birmingham, Alabama Home) both producing beautiful red flowers, and adding Miracle Grow plant soil with the dirt all is well with both plants until the temperature went down in the higher 50s and some nights 60 the leaves have been turning yellow so my question will the winter months kill both plants or could I save them. I just bought 1 Hady Hibiscus a day ago and should I do up one of the Tropical Hibiscus PLANTS AND PLANT THE HARDY ONE OR WAIT UNTIL OR A LITTLE BEFORE SPRING? Thanks for ANY HELP.
Maybe this reply is too late. What I know is that tropical hibiscus can't handle winter. If you still want to plant tropical variety, plant them in a pot so that you can take them in when the temperature goes down. While hardy hibiscus can stay out evem in winter months.
My plant has so many leaves but has not flowered even once since last two months ...its constatntly growing in size, i've put good amount of phosphorus along with DAP, epsom salt as req. but no result...can someone help whats going on with it 😐
that because phosphate boosts healthy roots and thick branches but not flowers.you will have to use something high in potash.npk 0 0 50 ,0 54 34 or 13 0 45 should induce them to flower.i have four hibiscus plants 2 desi and 2 hybrid but all of them are flowering.
My hibiscus is not growing as it's supposed to but it's ok. Also, buds are coming out but falling of just before flowering. What should I do? I am just watering it.
1. Overwatering is majorily responsible for yellow leaves problem. 2. Sometimes Magnesium deficiency in plant is also responsible for yellow leaf problem, you can give half table spoon of APSUM SALT (MgSO⁴) to the plant.
I have multiple huge plants in large pots that I bring in the winter. I’m in New England. I use grow lights in the house. Some are 20 years old. They bloom all year.
My hibiscus 🌺 buds drop off without blooming. Why? Gets plenty of sun ☀️. Right now it’s our rainy season and very hot 🥵 so I moved the large pot under a palm tree so the leaves would not burn 🔥. It’s a ceramic pot, plenty of drainage and no sand. Still yet the buds fall off.
Very helpful thanks

Will hibiscus climb like mandavilla? Or can i train it to climb a trellis?
It Doesn't climb.
@@nesq4104exactly they are not climbers rather bushes
@@mnp870 yes. Bushes. I have 3 at home. They are like the best flower to have because they always bloom in warm climate and so many color options
can you bring the pots to the garage in the winter months. middle NC
I have the same question for planters, Zone 6. (A dark cold garage, no heat, no windows. )
I think they will do ok bringing them indoors, after you cut them down to 6 inches tall right before 1st frost of winter.
Yes only if u give them enough light and sometimes they go dormant
Very informative video❤

Can I keep Hibiscus in large pots and still get the Blooms nice and big? Any Pointers welcome. Thank you
I've had mine in a large pot outside for 5 years and it keeps blooming each year. Also, I live in Oregon which surprises me I can even grow one!

May be Its happening due to over watering, any pest attack on plant, or under watering.
I've had the same issue. Make sure you are feeding it.
Good video, fruitful information
I'm the opposite, I have constant blooming but the plant won't grow. Very same size as when I bought it
@@bonniemccormack1361 check your fertilizer. Maybe one without a large middle number which is responsible for the blooms.
Good foliage but no buds. Sunny location.
