I had no idea there was so much controversy behind Samoa coming to Miss World. I thought it was welcome reassurance that Oceania would have more representation since only Fiji has been competing since 2012 and before that there was only Guam representing Oceania, which in all honesty isn't saying much because they are so 'Americanised'. Anyways, I hope Samoa returns to the international pageant scene and will have a separate pageant for selecting a representative to Miss World.
