What size tank is he in now? Ive got a young male (17cm) in a 75 gallon tank by himself at the moment. Wondering how long until he outgrowns the tank. Maybe a year?
I’ve never had a full grown Dovii but I would they they probably are capable of killing most other cichlids. Umbee and emperor cichlids would be a tough match but those 3 do get much bigger than any other potential contestants

120 gallon but yes a year or possibly 2

There is no comparison when it comes to aggressiveness to a 2ft male Dovii. When Dovii are full size they are by far the most aggressive cichlid
