      In general, Windows 10 and Windows 11 include all the drivers necessary for the correct operation of the computer.
      But just in case, you can download new drivers from the website of the video card and motherboard manufacturer and install them in the new Windows.

    This was great. Worked almost exactly as the video (my installation automatically selected the WIn 11 Home for me as I have Win 10 home).

    I installed a second Windows 10 on my second M.2 drive, I have two M.2 SSDs and two SATA SSDs. My main concern is that when I'm using the new OS on the second M.2 I can access all of the files from the other three drives except for the files in "This PC" on the first M.2. Probably a stupid question but why is this? I don't understand the actual location of these files and why I can't access them from the second OS on the second M.2.

      If I understand you correctly, you are asking how to install Windows 11 and bypass the restrictions.
      The simplest and most reliable option is to download the Windows 11 ISO file to your computer and create a bootable Windows 11 USB flash drive using the free Rufus application.
      The latest versions of Rufus have built-in options for how to bypass these restrictions for Windows 11, and Rufus does all this automatically.
      This video tutorial has all the details:

      Yes, you should be able to see the raw "files" with explorer unless they are locked by the rendering program. That said, unless you have the rendering program installed on the other OS, you won't be able to use those "music, presentation or doc" files unless they are not proprietary to that program. Such as mp3's or universal presentation or docs that are the same. Then again you simply install the program that works on them on the 2nd OS. I think that is what you are asking ? Also, I HATE how bad a job MSFT did on Windows 11. It is like when they came out with Win 94 and it was a disaster until Win 95 or Win 2000 till the 2nd hot fix. So many millions of tech people have reinstalled Win 10.

      Hi,
      In this case, you need to install two Windows using a different method, I did just that on my home computer.
      1. Turn off your computer.
      Open the computer case and disconnect the power cable from drive number 2. (or SATA cable)
      After that, turn on the computer and install Windows on disk number 1.
      2. Turn off the computer.
      After that, unplug the power cable from drive number 1.
      Connect the power cable to disk number 2 and install Another Windows on disk number 2.
      3. Turn off the computer and connect the power cable to drive number 1.
      Now on my computer two different Windows are installed on two different disks, in the same way you can install two identical Windows, Windows and Ubuntu, and so on.
      With this setting, after turning on the computer, the operating system selection menu will not appear, and the disk that is set in the BIOS in the Boot section in the boot priority in the first place will be loaded onto the computer.
      If you want to boot another system and not change the settings in the boot priority, you need to open the Boot Menu after turning on the computer, select another drive and press Enter.

    Hi. I have a larger 500gb with Win11 with a free partition of 250gb. I also have a 250gb with Win10. I would like to clone the win10 drive to the free partition without losing any data of the 500gb ssd… and have a dual bootable larger SSD… but I dont find a program to clone to a particular partition… all of them want to erase the receiving ssd. Both disks I have are MBR.

      @ipMalik  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm sorry, but I have never done the same operation with cloning programs and therefore I do not have an exact answer.
      I know that you can create a disk image with Windows 10 and transfer it to a free partition without losing data on other disks using the Acronis application.
      This process cannot be called cloning, it is a different process.
      Here's a guide on how to do it:
      th-cam.com/video/7QRLddgH3fg/w-d-xo.html
      I constantly use the Acronis program and it is an excellent program.

      @redzone5655 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ipMalik thanks for your answer. I see acronis lets you choose which partitions to back up… but doesnt let you do the same when recovering. I mean, it just deletes the target SSD… not allowing to recover in a portion of the target disc, am I right?

    • @ipMalik
      @ipMalik  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@redzone5655 For Acronis, it makes no difference whether you work with a partition or an entire disk, I assume so, but I can’t say because I haven’t done it..
      Let's try to solve the problem in the following way - I will send you an Acronis image, and you will try to clone Windows 10 with it.
      To create a bootable Acronis USB flash drive and other actions in this case, you do not need to enter an activation key, and the rest of the process is shown in my video.
      th-cam.com/video/7QRLddgH3fg/w-d-xo.html
      When you complete the process with Windows 10, please let me know what the result will be, I will be interested.

      If your PC is new, to install Windows 7 you need to change a few settings in the BIOS, but if you change the settings, then your Windows 11 will not work.

    • @ipMalik
      @ipMalik  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It makes no difference if there are two partitions with two different OSes on one physical disk or two physical disks, but I prefer to do it this way:
      My computer has two physical disks and each disk has a different OS with different applications, drivers, and so on.
      Before installing the OS on disk number 1, I disconnect the SATA cable from disk number 2 and install the OS on disk number one.
      Before installing the OS on disk number 2, I also disconnect the SATA cable from disk number 1, so these drives will work completely independently of each other if any trouble happens to one of them..
      After installing the OS on two disks, I configure the boot priority in the BIOS so that after turning on the computer, the disk I need, on which I work the most, is automatically loaded.
      And if I need to boot the computer from the second disk, after turning on the computer, I call up the Boot Menu and in it select the required disk to boot the computer.

      @@ipMalik that seems pretty good I usually do a fresh install every year or so I just do too many things in one os that sometimes drivers don’t work very well together I rather have two of one gets bad I have the other one . Plus my ssd mvme just die it won’t boot its locked on read only I did recover my data but things like that can happen is better to have two it saves time too I appreciate the info

    • @ipMalik
      @ipMalik  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@guilladogui8259 If you appreciated what I said, then I will add something more:
      On my main PC I have two small SSDs connected, each with a different OS and a minimum of data stored on them.
      Plus, two more large SSDs are connected to this computer, and they serve me only as storage of information that is needed for my work, either in one OS or another, located on different disks, and when some new information arrives on disks with the OS, I immediately resave this data to large disks and by this action I leave the OS disks half empty, which makes work on the OS disk faster.
      As I said earlier, before installing a new OS, I disconnect all disks from the PC and leave only one on which I install Windows or another OS - this is fundamentally important for me.
      Plus, in order not to look for a solution to various problems that sometimes arise on SSDs with the OS, I found a simpler solution:
      After installing a new OS, as well as after installing all updates, drivers in this OS, I install all the necessary applications for my work, and so on, and after all this, using the Acronis True Image program, I create an image of drive C and save it in one of the Storages on disk for storing data.
      And if any problem arises on drive C, I don’t lose my nerves or time solving problems, but simply using Acronis True Image I restore the previously created image of drive C and after a few minutes my computer again works like a new PC with all drivers and applications.
      Creating a disk image using Acronis True Image takes 3-5 minutes, and recovery takes 5 -7 minutes.
      I recommend:

    • @ipMalik
      @ipMalik  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, this method will work for you, but if you have two separate physical disks, then you can install two Windows in another way:
      Before installing Windows on the first drive, turn off the computer, unplug the SATA cable or power cable from the second drive, and then turn on the PC and install Windows.
      Proceed in the same way when installing Windows on another drive, that is, turn off the PC, remove the SATA cable or power cable from the first drive, and then install Windows on the second drive.
      After completing the installation of Windows on the second drive, turn off the PC again and connect the cables to the first drive.
      It is necessary to pull out the cables from the disks and insert them back only after turning off the PC from the power supply.
      After that, turn on the PC and enter the BIOS, in the Boot section, open the Boot Priority and put in the first place the disk that you most need to use, press F10 to save the settings changes.
      th-cam.com/video/wLTusKkElcg/w-d-xo.html
      To boot the PC from the second disk, you need to restart the PC, call the Boot Menu, select a disk from another Windows and press Enter.
      On my computer, two different Windows are installed on two different disks, and I always do as I just told you.

    • @ipMalik
      @ipMalik  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NABEEL97 If you do everything right, there will be no problems, because the computer does not make mistakes, only a person makes mistakes.
      The only problem may arise in another case:
      During the installation of the second Windows on the second disk, the installation program automatically creates a system selection menu so that you can choose which Windows to boot your computer or laptop from.
      The installer can place this menu file on the first disk, and it can also place this file on the second disk.
      If you subsequently want to reinstall one of Windows and the system selection menu file ends up on the disk with Windows that you reinstall, then this file will be deleted along with the old data and the first Windows will no longer boot due to the absence of the system selection menu.
      Therefore, I prefer to install two Windows on two different physical drives. but this is easy to do on a desktop computer, it can be done on a laptop, but more difficult.

      @@NABEEL97 1. Apparently, you have personal files stored on HDD, and so that they are not deleted during installation, you need to prepare the disk in the way I showed in my video.
      That is, you need to compress the disk with files and free up space for the second Windows, after that two partitions are formed on the HDD, one disk with the second Windows, the second disk with personal files.
      If there are no necessary files on the HDD, then there is no need to compress this disk and make two partitions on it.
      2. On a laptop, all this is difficult to do, because before installing Windows on the first disk, you need to open the laptop lid and disconnect the second disk, then you need to disconnect the first disk, connect the second disk and install the second Windows on it.
      How to turn off the disk, I wrote in a comment before that - you need to remove the SATA cable or power cable from the disk.
      How to start a laptop and select Windows using the boot menu, I also wrote about this earlier.
