This Stern Bond pinball had a bad 5V daisy crimp for the Jetpack Opto. Hard to find!

Repairing and refurbishing pinball machines is our specialty, but we also buy, sell, and trade pins. Need a part? If we don't have it, we can probably get it. We are a veteran-owned, fully licensed and fully insured Tennessee Small Business.

The amount of time I’ve spent going through wires trying to find stuff like that . One little crimp can cause so many issues ! Nice trouble shooting!

Yep, and the intermittent ones are always the worst!

I’ve experienced similar issues with newer Sterns. Documentation is poor. Many of the opto connectors are very fragile/weak. I would much rather work and troubleshoot Williams games of the 90’s than modern Sterns. The led lamp driver boards are all SMD. I’ve learned to do SMD board repairs. Much more difficult and not easily done in the field.
