Marriage is not too complicated as long as the two persons (a man and a woman) who partner in marriage respect each other and do not harm each other in any way. They should create time for each other but also continue to do their respective chores and take their responsibilities seriously. Whenever they feel unhappy, they should find an exclusive opportunity to discuss the issues that caused the anger and unhappiness and find a solution. They should also avoid involving third parties, whether friends, priests or parents and counselors before they have tried to resolve their differences on their own and even if external help is considered merited, the decision should be mutual. Children are a gift from God and there should be adequate time and attention given to them by both parents. Children are very sensitive and they can easily determine wether their parents are good friends or they are just forcing themselves to each other. Finally, people in marriage should avoid discussing their issues, good or bad, with friends especially if both other are not present. Rumors and bad reviews start to fly when this rule is not adhered to. The ‘he said I said’ stuff can be extremely inappropriate in a marriage when it’s allowed to flourish.
