In this video I shopped at Walmart with a ten-dollar budget in mind and bought a spinning rod and reel combo. I wanted to catch some catfish and any other species of fish I could at the river on the fishing combo to see how it would compare to high end fishing equipment. I immediately started getting bites and hooked up with my first catfish of the day and I was extremely happy with the results, but I knew I had to catch some more big fish to really test out how the Walmart spinning rod combo was going to hold up. By the end of the fishing trip, I had caught a lot of fish and was convinced that the spinning combo was worth the money spent as it exceeded my expectations. The next day I decided to cook the catfish for lunch and the meal I made was absolutely delicious. #fishing #challenge

I got a creek back hare behind me and all around black water like this. I'm gonna be able to fish spring the first time in three yrs I live the gills and my fav the red breast and stump knockers jack fish

Another early Saturday morning and another great video to wake up to. Ive got 3 of those combos and absolutely love them. Great for fishing tight spots and a blast to catch any type of fish with. Headed out to one if my favorite spots, you done got me and the wife wanting a fish sammich...lol

I have that same rod combo, cost me 18 bucks, I did upgrade to 20lb braided line, but the original line was holding true with them 2 ft bowfins... its a great rod set up!
Preciate the info! I actually like the combo so I went back an bought another 1. $10 an some change was the cost at the Walmart I was at. Definitely gonna have some good catching fun with both the combos!
That tiny rod and reel you bought got me to thinkin. Take that tiny reel and put it on that ozark trail rod. In my opinion, there's nothing better than ultra light tackle. I've been known to buy the "cheapest" fishin combo's I could find. I bought academy sports spinning combo. I put it up in a safe place not to lose it, but for the life of me, I can't remember where I put it. My buddy larry has a slew of Mr Crappie 4# line used for panfish (shellcracker and crappie), and 6# for catfish. I've found Mr Crappie stronger than # test stated.
I may just give that a try, preciate the info.!

I got one of these. The rod is fiberglass, the reel is crap. I bought it for the rod alone. I've posted on Walmart on this combo. I like cheap fishin stuff and ozark trail is top of my list ! I'll buy this brand before any other.
