    *3 KEY Habits To Maintain*
    1. Meditation
    2. Reading
    3. Exercising
*Why:* These three habits are considered “key habits” since it improves every aspect of your life while you’re doing the habit itself. Ex: If you decide to start exercising, you can then fix your diet naturally or start having higher confidence.

It’s important to stress that while those are great tips, people’s sleep patterns and cycles differ and there is little point in trying to change your underlying biology. We need to be more open to flexible schedules and accept that there is no nobility in cutting sleep or being up early. It about what you do in those waking hours and how you do it, not what time it is. We have progressed enough by now to know that we’re not one-size-fits-all.

I used to have a huge problem getting out of bed in the morning. I could sleep through even loud alarm clocks. I am still not a morning person. However, I just bought many alarm clocks and spread them around the room. One of the alarms is the sonic bomb alarm it is insanely loud and it vibrates as well, I keep the vibration pod under my pillow, I set that alarm to go off last, most mornings I am able to get up before it goes off. I also try to do something that relaxes my mind when I get up before I go to work, for about 30 minutes -- even if it is just watching a TH-cam video. It really not wake up late and be in a panic and not be on time for work.

In the Army I learned to make an A, B, and C list every day. Tasks on the A list were those that, if I did not complete them that very day, I would lose a piece of my rear end. If it was likely to be on tomorrow's A list, it goes on today's B list. And the C list was all the other great ideas and taskings which add up to way too much for any one person to accomplish. The key thing about the C list was, after a week or so, if it didn't move up to the B list, drop it completely off your list.

Alarm trick is terrible. Jumping right out deep sleep at 5 o’clock is horrible. I feel cold and my muscles are sore for few hours if i do that , not to mention my heart beat keeps changing every 30 seconds which makes me nauseous.
My trick to waking up easily :
I set up my alarm to 10 minutes earlier than i want to wake up. ( 4:50 if i want to wake up at 5) I keep my alarm near my bed, i trun it off as soon as i hear it ( no snoozing , but i do have extra alaram in case i fell asleep).
I immediately turn on lights ( just press a buttun above my bed ).
Then i sart moving slowly , fingers first , then arms little shoulders and neck, while trying to become more conscious of where am i and whats going on.
I roll of my bed, immediately make it , brush my teeth and drink nice sweet calming tea , NO coffee.
These way i am calm and ready to deal with my day

I used to think like this, until people started to flake on plans and I started to outsmart myself when I'd put the alarm across the room and turn on the light and do some exercise. The mental clutter part is true, though.I performed better when everything was cleaned up and I had nothing better to do than the task at hand. Prioritization is key. Planning isn't good, especially if you have opposition. They could come out of left field and completely ruin your plans. Loose plans with alternatives work better.

  • @normanklein3155
    @normanklein3155 5 ปีที่แล้ว

I'd add this to your requirement about having an alarm clock on the other side of the room: now ensure that its never turned on (unless you need to get up exceptionally early to catch a flight). Always wake up naturally. Let your body be the judge of your required amount of sleep.
It's far more important to get a complete night's sleep than to save a few minutes. Even if those lost minutes are only a few, they will greatly affect you during the day. Even worse those lost minutes of sleep have a cumulative affect and significantly enhance aging. Always select quality over quantity (even if that means having less time during the day).

This would be great advice to follow in a perfect world, except that any woman with a full time jobs, kids, and all of the other responsibilities that life and adulthood brings, knows that this advice is next to impossible to follow. Not only are a "few minutes" of sleep missed but often hours of sleep are missed.

    Have two alarm clocks!
One that is right next to the bed and another across the room.
Know that if the second one goes off the hottie you married is going to be pissed at you.
Only stretch in the morning don't mess with your exercise routine because you need 48hrs of recovery time for any given muscle group when you lift like you mean it.
If you don't lift and keep in great shape you are already blowing it. Be like a shark and never stop moving!

A 2 minute "meditation" is not meditation.

True, but 2 minutes will expand to 10 15 30 minutes. It is difficult for most of us to add things to do in a day when we feel we have run out of time. Fooling ourselves it's only 2 minutes it's easy to incorporate.

Very poor advise given here, Never exercise getting straight up out of bed. Your body needs time to loosen up. Putting strain on your body right away is a good way to injure yourself

Adam Colemann There are some great suggestions in the comments.
