@@SanjitDoesEverything Bro, I'm 1100 (still low) and I can't see this man!!! I rock bottom I was 179 blitz. And this is rapid!!! A 300 blitz rated player is I think like the strength of a player 450-500 rapid. No offense but she's a real beginner. At least she knows how the pieces move. Thats enough to begin the journey yk.

Just learn only one opening as white and know as much variation there is to that opening. This works really well to push to 1000 to 1200. But as black,i would recommend scandinavian or king's indian or queen's indian because it is really forcing opening as black, and forces white to move out of its comfort zone(e4). Anyway, good luck on your journey! Wish you the best! Remember, consistence is key, don't rush. It is not about how many games you play,it is about how good you play. I play around 4 games a day like 2 games in evening and 2 games at night. Skill is attained from experience as well as knowledge. Good luck!

I started chess 4 years ago. 16000 games later today I'm 1700 in rapid and 1500 blitz. Best way to improve is to just play lots of games. Watch youtube videos of games that are being explained so you understand what's purpose of certain moves. Daniel Naroditsky's speedrun videos are all about teaching. Keep doing puzzles and analyse your games.

  • @PygmalionFaciebat

    About the first game:
At this point of your developement i would say: its very important that even in the opening you try to see combinations of attacks: how the opponent could attack. Its usually not so much important to attack in the first 4 moves, but much more: develop and defend. Attack has time in the middle game. Now, your opponent indeed attacked even in the oppening, but only because you let him because you for instance simply tried to attack his bishop - not realising, he has a cross attack at f7 with knight and bishop.
Now i know : its not so important at 300 elo, to see combinations of attacks. But later on in the game you had the right mindset - because in the middlegame you indeed think about ''how the opponent could attack in a combination of moves'' (if you have the same mindset in the opening, and prioritize on developement and defending, you will be easily 500 elo soon!)

My angel, I've been playing chess for a little while, and when you're starting out at this rating range, what's really important is to practice tactics. Spend just 5 minutes a day on it, and you'll see your progress-your eyes need to get used to the "patterns" of chess. Another tip: choose one opening for white pieces and always play it, and one defense for black pieces against 1. e4 and another for 1. d4, and always stick to the same opening. Good luck!!

I started playing chess in early 2024 and I was at your level. Currently I’ve made it to 1035 ELO. I’d recommend learning an opening and learning basic chess principles such as developing your pieces early and castle early.
And scan for checks, captures and attacks. You played well for your level with a couple of misses, such as the first bishop move in the first game, which was a hanging piece.
    Do puzzles as well.
A great teacher of chess is GothamChess, an International Master, and I’d recommend his videos, as they are instructive.
    Happy learning:)

I just watched the first 5 moves and had to comment watch GothamChess he did a 500 elo or something how to win at chess ir it was a climb but at this level I'm just 448 right now but I have been winning a lot and it's very simple at this level to get better. Take the center if you can. Knights before bishops. Rooks work great on d1 and e1. Don't blunder pieces check if they can be captured. Learn the first 4 moves of the scolars mate defense (white goes to h5 with queen). Weak sqaures are the 1s in front of the bishops and people do gambits like the fried liver to fork pieces or checkmate. You need a simple plan. My advice if you win a piece or opponent blunders trade everything and promote a queen and checkmate. Ladder works fine. With this I've won around 66% in the last 30 days my climb is slow because I set my upper bound to +25 opponent and lower bound to -400 so that i get practice against real people. I like to warm up with bots before I play to get me in the zone. Hope it helps.

As a 1500, it applies to any elo till 2300 or something. I recently hit 1500 and I can barely calculate 4-5 moves ahead, I still mainly focus on not blundering in one move and finding quick tactics. Stockfish 16, at a depth of higher than 40, sees the French Defense as the superior way to fight against a white 1st move of 1. e4, in which white on the 1st move pushes the white king's pawn two squares forward.
Perhaps the declaration of Stockfish 16 on the superiority of the French Defense over other families of defense systems by black, particularly when Stockfish 16 is set at a depth of 43 or higher, is why at the more than 10 game world chess championship match between Ding Loren and Gukesh Dommaraju in Singapore in December 2024, defending champion Ding Loren used the French Defense two times as black, scoring a win and a draw as black with the French Defense. Ultimately, Dommaraju Gukesh eventually overcame the handicap of losing a game as white against the French Defense, and eventually won enough games in the December 2024 championship match to become the new world chess champion.
Most typically, the 1st 4 pairs of moves in the French Defense are...
    1. e4 e6
    2. d4 d5
    3. exd5 exd5
    4. Nf3 Nc6
There are ways in which white can escape from going through that variation, but if black knows what to do, white can end up in a techically even worse situation than if white sticks with the normal flow of the French Defense.
Statistically, black has a 1.3 to 1 win ratio over white in that variation of the French Defense. In other families of openings against a white 1st move of 1.e4, black usually has a losing ratio instead of a winning ratio against white, so statistically speaking, Ding Loren did the right thing by using the French Defense when he could.

I went from 300 to 1000 in about a month or 2 of studying openings and playing loads... Then I fell back to around 800 and hit a brick wall lol. I still love it though, awesome game 🤝

Don't advance so early like that. Play a defensive move like d6. Develop you king side & castle. Btw how old are you? If you are an older beginner don't play e5 as black. Play the Caro Kann or the Pirc defence.

here's one tip: don't overthink on the first move you spent nearly a minute on move 3 and still made the wrong move because you had tunnel vision, and the only option you say was taking the pawn. You should have a more open vision of the entire board

Keep at it! I think it's cool to do these kinds of videos because then you can look back on it when you're far higher rated and see just how far you've come. I definitely recommend though what others have been saying about avoiding E5 as a beginner. I began to not hate playing as black against E4 when I learned the french defense (E6)...but I didn't like the bad bishop. So I recently switched to the Caro (C6) and have been loving it. Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do against D4 hahaha. I figure since I like the London as white, I can try to do reverse London with black...Anyway. Have fun!

If you want any help I can give you some advice like not seeing that the knight could have taken the bishop. Also probably need to work on basic tactics like controlling the center

Most people rated 1000s and below are theory boosted 300s.

@@Ytremz btw, that's why it can be good to learn an off-beat opening, to make your opponent play like a 300 instead of a 1000 😂
