The lox bagel isn't a traditional food, and I've never seen anyone eating it here. Bagel is usually eaten with cheese only, and some people like eating seasoned raw salmon but it has nothing to with bagel. 6. Kugel, also called "Kiggel" looks different here. The pasta isn't mashed and you can see it clearly, sometimes layered and sometimes clumped up. Many people like it, but rarely eat it. 7. You haven't eaten some of the best traditional sweets! Try Sufganiya for Hanuka and Hamantash (here called "Haman's ear") for Purim. They are delicious. 8. There are two kind of people in Israel: People who despise Gifilte fish (most of us do, including me) and people that love it.
