Thanks again for reviewing a brand/model not so well known. Having said that, I can't see anything in this compare to compel me to consider the QooCam. Even using a bigger sensor and aperture, the image quality doesn't even come close IMO. Even the low light footage, while brighter, has so much noise.
4:16 How can you say that in low light the Kandao performs better than the X3? The image noise of the Kandao in that footage is extreme.... Unusable image.
Also the thing i like about the X3 is that i can edit on the mobile app then export the edit data to the memory card. Import both the video and edit data files and its all done. Just export in the Insta360 Studio to get better quality. It seems to me in the sample footage, the x3 had a wider FOV AND wasnt as blown out as the Qoocam. The footage on the Qoocam also looked very warped as well
Something I just found out today is there is a minimum CPU needed to run the Insta360 app. It needs to be an SD845 or faster to handle the AI processing. I was surprised to find out the CPU in my Tripltek 8 Pro is too slow even though they've only been out a couple of years. Apparently they elected to use a 7 year old chipset to save money. It doesn't matter with drone use but it does with the X3 app. For $900 one expects more. Disappointing.
Thanks for the video comparison. I love my x3 and film with it every day. With easy mobile editing via phone it makes uploading to my channel on location very simple. YET, since using the x3 I have never babied a camera soooo much. Be nice if the lenses was swap able. One little scratch and the camera is worthless. No way to fix except sending it to the manufacturer. Be nice to see a demo of you testing the water depth feature. Haven't tried under water yet...but after seeing numerous vlogs of foggy lense/water damage I dare not to. The dive case needs to be lower priced. After spending 450 on the cam, another 75 for the case is kinda steep. Yet the pros out weigh the cons as I will keep using it.
Looks like its gonna have that same offset stitch line like the GoPro Fusion. That was why i didnt buy it because i saw someone that mounted it to the top of their helmet and it looked like their head was split in the video

The kandao has a lot of bad lens distortion

Best form factor for action camera I like best is the GoPro Hero 4&5 Session. I wish they would re release it but smaller.

QOOCAM 3 still issue with Color rendering issues and still a loooong way to go .

Which drone should I buy?
Requirement is just for Instagram reels.
Mini 2 SE or mini 3 or mini 4 pro
Mini 4 pro is great.
Great sir❤❤
Have you used QOOCAM in low-light/night? Kandao looks Pretty interesting!
Kandao Max 😁
they bought gopro old stock
Gopro max looked a lot better
Qoocam needs a lot of work to do before it even can be equal to the x3.
That’s too big for today’s standard
Good Sir..I like it
