Annnnd subbed! The only death that I really felt bad about that Walter committed was Mike’s. He was a good chap and I’m still gutted whenever I rewatch it!
I actually started to think about Mike's death a lot while I was putting together this essay. Walter certainly didn't need to kill Mike. Although he did a bad job, you're right, Mike was a good person. Mike came close to killing Walt and the end of season 3. And only didn't because Walter was clever enough to find a way out. So all in all, Mike can't have too many complaints haha
Hi everyone, I thought I'd make this comment to say that I will be returning to this channel to make video essays. It's been a tough 12 months for lots of people, and finding my interest in making content like this again in the past few weeks has really helped me. If you're having a tough time, just know that no feeling is final. Go find your creative outlet! It's so healthy.
Aw man. Where do I start? #1 I had no idea how few followers you had. Your last video (and this one) is so HQ I figured you were up in the 400k+ zone. Soon enough. #2 another great take. I never thought about a reverse redemption story but sure enough you're right. #3 walter really could do whatever evil acts he so chose in our eyes because they established him as the underdog from the get go. PS I was wondering why I couldn't get on board with Ozark and I believe you hit the nail on the head yet again. Thanks for the vid!
What a kind comment. The reverse redemption is certainly an interesting one. And yes, Ozark is good but I definitely don't feel that connection I have with Walter
Better Call Saul is absolutely something I will make content on. I've never seen Peaky Blinders but it's something I've been intending to watch for years. Thanks for the suggestions
Fantastic video! It's nice to see an Irish video essayist. Walt's transformation over the course of the series is really one of the greatest arcs in TV History; it's so gradual that even at his worst you keenly understand him. I disagree that Hank is still a cocky asshole in the last few episodes, though.
Up Ireland! Oh Hank absolutely wasn't a cocky asshole in the last few episodes. My point was actually that I could not forget the characters we were introduced to at the beginning. And that's why I stuck with Walter. And he was certainly cocky at the beginning. I'm glad you enjoyed the video :)
Great video, I was wondering, what do think of “el camino” I didn’t really like it, I felt like it sidelined the complex and troubled relationship with Walter by focusing on what happened with the nazis . The whole manipulation from Todd feels like a shitty version of what happened with Walter. What do you think?
I agree. I guess we didn't quite see the extent of Jesse's situation in the show. There is a moment in the movie where Jesse is listening to the news and he hears about Walter's death. It certainly affected him, and I thought that was a nice touch. There were also so many things in the movie that totally took the realism out for me. Like the actor for Todd being way older and overweight. And Bryan Cranston's alien looking bald cap in the flashback. Overall though, I think the movie was decent but nothing amazing
Im surprised that you dont have more subscribers. Youre a genuinely good youtuber
Thanks so much. That's very kind.
Great Video Man! I love this kind of stuff and your narration is the icing on the cake.
Thanks very much. Glad you enjoyed it :)
