We make a milk masala of pista, almond, elaichi powder and kesar and keep it in airtight container in the freezer. When you want to have, just mix a teaspoon of masala with hot milk. You can even do that

hi suchi i have also lived in edmonton for 3 year but now we are in lloydminster.i am gujarati and we make pickle from fresh haldi.chop haldi as u like and just add salt and lemon juice.it taste good and that way u can use for long time like month or so in the refrigerator.

In India you get good malai so ghee can be made with that however here I use unsalted butter
