Loved your rendition of love vs arranged and concept of love evolving through age ....I agree mostly to it so no issues...except for one...When we made commitment to each other...decided we will try and convince the two families but in case we do not succeed, chances were pretty high for that though ....we will have to go ahead and honor our commitments...because you can not make everyone happy at the same time...at times you need to listen to your head as well. This priceless advice was from my Dad...and I was ready for it.... In my case though the families agreed and wedding was planned, but it drained me(may be both of us) emotionally and physically. But we fought our individual battles without passing on the stress to the other one...and then the Tom and Jerry game started ...called marriage...two people diametrically opposite in most of our choices in life besides food, travel and laughter,....we have survived 23 long years...and that is life...so beyond a point love or arranged does not matter,....but initially it matters...as in love marriages, you know each other to some extent and have no expectation from others...while in arranged marriage too many stakeholders...and for some there are scapegoats to dump the onus of running a coordinated life...Given a chance will go in for love marriage all over again...Take care and Happy Anniversary wishes in advance.

Very matured approach! Mine too is a love marriage, very different environment ! But the transition was accepted happily,,,,,,, and now 32 years young married life!!! 😦😀😀😍

Thanks for sharing your love story with all of us. In contrast, mine is a bit different. We met on the first day of college, back in 2008 became friends and soon fell in love. After a couple of months we both knew we will get married no matter what. I went on to pursue my MBA and he started working it was very hectic and long-distance relationship but we knew we have to work it out. I am glad we convinced our parents after strong resistance from my side which went on for 8 years. Finally they agreed and last year we both tied the knot. I have loved every moment of my courtship with this great guy who is not only my friend, but my biggest support system, my pillow to fall back on after a failure and what not. I hope we are able to take this life together with all its hardships and be in love till our last breath. Thanks again dear.

Hi Suchi, the way you talk and explain things with so much maturity that one should fall in love with you. I can listen to your voice for hours dear. You are so simple, mature, understanding and down to earth which are so rare in today's fancy showoff world. I like you and gets positive vibes from you always.. Mine is arranged marriage of 12 years happily. I am not that matured like you but by grace of God my husband is very understanding, matured, practical, loving n caring person n full of positiveness which slowly making me mature like him... In hindi we say na... "sangat ka asar" somewhat like that happening to me.. I was a very angry person who gets irritated by little things... But due to my partners calmness politeness my angry nature can't stayed long n yes slowly but I m changing n m very happy for that. I was in 8th class when ABHISHEK proposed me. all tha memories r refresh. or mai bhi apni shadi Mae bilkul bhi nahi muskura rahi thi kyoki same here last movement tak kaam nipta rahi thi or thoda nervous bhi thi kyoki love marriage mae u r only to responsible for all gud n bad with u. but har kisi bhi relationship ko baat kr k strong kr sakte hai hum bhi khub ladte hai pr baat krna band nahi krte. yahi vajah hai ki koi misunderstanding hamare bich nahi hoti. marriage koi bhi ho trust and communication jarur hona cahiye.

Nice story wish u lots of love and happiness.. well in my case we had not seen each other a day before we got married.....it was like once when he was visiting India my elder sister met him she found him as a nice person and also as my parents are no more so she finalized him ..then all the things were organised over calls...and finally he visited my place a day before marriage and it happened like that...but it was a really nice decision.. and we are a happy couple now settled in S.A
