Charlie smart i dont blame him
Through the years I have had two Golden Retriever's and they are the smartest, loving, dedicated and sensitive dogs and most of all very loving as well as ultra sensitive and loving to their human family. My first Golden was over 6 feet tall when he stood on his hind legs lol. One day a guy was walking around in my back yard and I opened my sliding glass door a bit so my Golden didn't go out. I then asked this guy why are you in my backyard? He didn't respond to my question. So I asked a second time and a little bit stronger and they guy didn't respond All of a sudden I felt my sliding door was pushed open and my Golden (named Harley) ran through onto the deck and he went airborne (skipped the 4 steps on the deck)!!! Buddy then ran to and stopped about 2 feet in front of this guy and I was shocked. All of a sudden the guy frozen in place and I said for the 3rd time who are YOU??? Buddy just stared at the guy's eye's and didn't budge...finally the guy said: I work for the electric company and trying to find a certain electric box. Oh geeezzzz you finally told me who you are because my "small friend 90 pounds" has stopped you???
Goldens listen to the tone's in our voices and Buddy knew that my voice was loud and firm and that is why he flew off the deck...to protect his mom and his yard. I then told Buddy "it's ok Buddy and good job". When I said those words he sat but still "STARED AT THAT DUDE" and did not move. I suggested to the guy he pet Buddy and at the same time I said to Buddy: "it's ok Buddy". Then the guy left my yard QUICKLY!!! I bet he will never come back LOL.
Ahhh Hello? Did Charlie ever go in his kennel?
