It kinda speaks to how much of a badass Misaka is when she's strong enough to completely dismantle a giant robot but skilled enough to not even scratch the communication system

I mean from the looks of it, it wasn't really that impressive
thing is, shes probably not even trying at all. we see how strong accelerator can be at lvl 5 with just a basic ability of vector control because of how efficiently and ruthlessly he uses it. just imagine what misaka could do since she can generate and manipulate electricity when she really lets loose. if she wanted to she could easily single handedly send the entire human race back to before the age of electricity.
this also doesnt go to mention that as a lvl5 electromaster she can manipulate one of the fundamental forces of the universe (being electromagnetism)
@@derpmanaveragegamer7791 vector control isn't a basic ability. Controlling vectors is essentially controlling matter itself. Every particle and atom has a vector, you're sleeping on how OP that ability is. Accelerator is almost essentially a God, which is why he was chosen for the level 6 shift. Every message your brain transmits, to the air you breath and even the electricity and electromagnetism that Railgun can emit and control has vectors in them, which means accelerator can manipulate them.
@@DNB770 im not saying that Vector Control isnt a bad or weak ability. im saying that its a basic/simple ability. its literally just "if it changes posistion in any way/shape/form he can control it", thats about as simple/basic of an ability you can get but its power/precision is turned all the way to 11 which is why the ability is so terrifying.

Actually, Misaka's most terrifying moment in the episode is when she told the Misaki's Clique Chicks that there would be a battle to the death if they didn't step aside. The looks of fear and astonishment on their faces were priceless. I mean, sweet and kind and flexible Misaka just threatened to unleash her wrath on them for serving their Queen. Misaki is lucky that Misaka did not set her on fire.

Aside her full power that wasn't shown yet, imagine Mikoto mastering her powers on molecular level and being unforgiving or even ruthless like Accelerator. She would be dangerous as hell. Things would go beyond just shocking her opponents, and more like flick fingers - disintegrate you to dust kind of business. Probably never gonna happen.
Probably due to the fact that she's labeled as the most mentally stable if all the level 5's. None of them are entirely sane but our favorite zapper here is the most grounded. However even she had her obsessions, namely Gekota, beating Touma, and trying to help the sisters. In that order too, lol.

I wish there were moments where she loses that sanity so she can actually use those powers to its fullest potential. (it happens in LN but it was soo short..)
Another example of the beauty of lv5's, it's not just a random broken power, it's the enormous well of knowledge and understanding of said power that make them the best of the best
I mean that's literally how she got her level 5 status aside from training really hard. She used to be a level 0 with barely any powers

Even if you got her with the nano fly thingo, she could just manually control her body by effectively using her powers as a new nervous system (she's done it before)
She also hurt herself pretty badly in the process but yes, she could do that.
@@SoulburgersSoll tbf that was the first time she did it and it was noted she was improving by the second. So the second time she might not or at the very least it wouldn't be as bad.
The nano virus infects the brain though. That said, the real Misaka could never be hit by this. She would detect it way earlier already and likely disable the nanobots the moment they are injected.
And to think Misaka is still holding back

One tends to forget how insanely powerful Misaka is after she got sidelined in Index III... crazier that she is actually the only Level 5 that we know worked to get to that level of skill.
Not really. Academy City already knew she'd going be a Lv5 back when she was a Lv1, thanks to the 'Parameter List'. It's why they tricked her into giving them her genetic map.

@@Beerbottles123 They knew she had the potential to become one* (as did others like Awaki, Takitsubo and Junko, for example, who never reached Level 5 despite that). They invested resources on her, but she was never kept in a lab to raise her level, like Misaki for example (Even though she didn't reach level 5 while there, she went through that level-upping experiments. We could also take Junko, she went from level 2 to 4 while there in two months, but AC didn't invest their resources on her to become a Level 5). Academy City basically provided the special drugs and a strict training schedule that Misaka followed like any other student, so it wouldn't be wrong to say that she worked her way up to the top.
Edit: I was looking up the lab Misaki was in on the wiki and there says they made her a Level 5, so she may have reached it there.

@@tobias1438 you are wrong the "anyone can be lvl 5" is a lie academy city gives to the students.
Btw the parameter list shows the max potential of an esper but to reach lvl is a miracle and when they see someone with the ability to become lvl 5 they put more effort and monney to raise them but even with that it's almost impossible to become one.
a thing that most people forget when they talk about how strong she is, is that she quite literally is a genius. To be a high-level esper and at one of the elite schools in academy city, you have to be very very gifted.

@@MikeTheAnimeRunnerX2 doesnt matter how old it is because the episode count is still way shorter than other anime that aired 11 years ago. This anime took a 5 year hiatus. And 1-2 years hiatus in between season. The story and episode count is as if the anime is bearly 3 years old combined...
@@pittayayas Is it better than a certain magical index? I watched the first season of that and while it was ok, it didn't interest me enough to look into another season. But I watch clips from Railgun because it seems interesting.

As an electrical engineer im really Impressed by the fact that her electrical manipulation is so precise she can change the flipflop values in the CPUs....
That means she could also manipulate electric field of mater...with that She could actually become more op then accelerator

@@dayman161172 Accelerator can control every vector that exists. Including that of electricity, light, etc. It is why he can counter everyones powers so easily. Even teleportation like Kuruko does is simply a vector manipulation across 14 dimensions. If something has a vector then accelerator can manipulate it.
As all of Misakas electromagnetic control creates vectors, Accelerator can control them.
For example if you look at /watch?v=bZY4IHyUnHE you can see how he manipulates the vectors of the electricity inside of a human body.

I haven't finished the index series and from the look of it I'm not gonna. But I believe they did a better job with railgun more that index. The characters, the plot, fight scenes ,every thing was better. And tbh Index is kind of underwhelming.

This is why this show is one of the best of the season. People knock on it for being meh or not good compared to other shows. However at its core this show has pretty good character development and an amazing universe that keeps me interested and wanting more.

Not unless you count AIM Burst, the Artificial Angel Fetus from season 1. While it was a lot less powerful than a "real" angel, it was still an angel.

@@Rinue618 Kanzaki can shake and destroy Mountains, Gabriel was going to destroy the planet, Fiamma was going to destroy all of Eurasia, Touma used the invisible thing to stop a planet destroying attack, Accelerator gets even more powerful than her and this is all index. Misaka's sand golem has nothing in this.
@@Rinue618 Nah this megazord she made for touma, accelerator, kakine, mugino destroying is easy, the villain doppelganger herself was just a normal and weak enemy. In index a mage made a stone golem and touma didn't have so much trouble to destroy it, kanzakiri managed to stop the golem's punch and even index managed to neutralize it. Of course the golem was smaller and it is made of magic which touma can nullify, but magic is far superior compared to the power of science. We have mages and mage gods who can destroy the world just by swinging a gun while espers can only wreak havoc on the city.
That's exactly why misaka lost almost all her fights against the mages in the novel, and that's why she gains development and power up to get stronger and face the world in which touma lives

The level 5 are not ranked in terms of power but there usefulness of ther abilitys towards research.
If it was power Misaka would most likely be lower on the list with Gunha being third.

yep, lately they seem to decrease overall brightness of the picture when there are rapid flashes on screen, to prevent any possible seizures.
