    The pas de bourreé section in to fourth is really beautyful with the music.

    Beautiful! Did ballet for 8 years, still classed as beginner.

      @@NatalieDanzaBallet+ The way our studio did it, was that you had the 'main' grades, (you could be in a grade from anywhere between 1-4 years,) and then you had the elites. You had to pay a certain amount of money to be part of the elite, or have connections to someone else that was apart of it. (Really nothing to do with skill or talent,) and they were the people who got to get specialised training, and was invited to dance competitions, although they rarely ever placed.
      The elites also happened to be in your grade class aswell, so whatever small amount of time that was left aside for us, was also shared and often taken over by the elites.
      We just had to participate in the same show every two years, and take the same exams of doing the same exercises in the meantime. Even if you happened to pass your exams, there was no guarantee that you would get to move up (often having to do with your age,) and you would rehearse the exact same exercises every week for the next two years, when exams rolled around again. It was ridiculous, lol. I was in grade 3 (12 years old) when I learned to do one pirrouette, that I could have easily mastered years prior through reading a Wikipedia article...
      I should have just learned from you, lol.

      Kiera Haggarty that school sounds horrible! Every year if you have been getting better you move up a level at my school. I am in level 8 or 9 I think in my school. I am 16 and I’ve been dancing for 11 years

    Love it! Also, that first step was taught to me as a balancè. I was taught that a pas de basque goes in front of the standing leg. Basically, a reverse balancè.

    • @NatalieDanzaBallet
      @NatalieDanzaBallet  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right, a pas de basque is different! I was wondering about balancé vs. pas de valse! Still not sure about that one! :)

      @@NatalieDanzaBallet Oh, I'm so sorry, I think I misheard. My apologies. Somehow in 15 years of ballet, I've never been taught pas de valse. But I've also never been taught guigallades or however you spell it and also haven't been taught a renverse so I taught it to myself.

    • @hysterika
      @hysterika 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’ve never done dance, actually I’m quite bad at it but I find it very interesting especially pointe. It’s so elegant and beautiful especially when you think about all the pain and hard work it takes. I find it so funny that I never have and probably never will dance but my joints pop like a dancers.

    This is so pretty! I get my pointe shoes in a few days, so I don't think I'll have the strength to do this before the Christmas talent show, but I love it anyway! I performed your Dance of the Flutes in flats/demi last year and I got so many compliments! Thanks and love! Also, please make more beginner pointe variations. • @NatalieDanzaBallet
      @NatalieDanzaBallet  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Kate! You could always do a lower passé (just below the knee is also correct). Best thing I think is to practice it without touching your toes to your leg at all, that way you ensure you're using all the strength in your legs. Also stretching in the middle splits will help with the turn out :)
