    What a hero. A real, true custodian of earth. If only people knew how this farming method and the produce could heal most of the peoples' health issues, right down to healthier thinking!

    Wow! It really is possible to not use pesticides. The only reason wheat and corn farmers have to aggressively use them is because they're monocropping.

    Wow, fascinating, thank you for this. You've explained it beautifully in a nutshell. I had no idea that yarrow, dandelion flowers, etc. were used that way.

    The Man was not only a Prophet, but provided humanity answers, to many of the dilemmas we are increasingly facing. The best Wines in the World, is done via Bio-Dynamic Farming. Dr. Steiner's methods need to be utilized much more then it is.
    I truly beleive it will be lol. It is just going to take a while for the world to catch onto his works. Be early to the party all, "Be the Change You Want To See."

    Found this video very interesting how you can apply both methods of composting boidynamic concepts using parts of of an animals to create compost nothing goes to waste whihc are permauclture principles. applying these methods make logic sense when preparing the soil humus an compost combined.

    Man, I was very excited and 100% down until 2:50... Then it just slowly devolved into yet another odd agricultural tradition that probably works well but likely not for the reasons they claim it does.

    The nutritional value is incompatible with organic farming. I can imagine how much micro-elements in those plants among the other things! They have anti-cancer properties.

    I love this: ""Some biodynamic practitioners burn insects when the Sun is in the constellation of Taurus and then they use the ash of the insects and springle it on the land to give a signal to that species of insects is not welcomed on that piece of land." I hope it works, and if it does, that is great and so easy to do! Thank you, Jeff Poppen. :)

    Interesting & motivates me to research more. I’m not sure why the herbs/blossoms need to be put into dead animal parts. Couldn’t you just make a compost pile with the plant material & add to water to make fertilizer “tea”? The sewing of animal organs and moon phases sounds witchy.

    • @groundedapproach
      @groundedapproach 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m wondering if it has to do with the energy it releases? Similar to burned insects giving off the signal that those insects are not welcome there? Maybe it has a predatory energy?

    • @williamburke9947
      @williamburke9947 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It has indigenous roots so sure, a little witchy. I’ve made most of the peeps, and they have archetypal reasons for the plant and animal pairings as well as chemical reasons.

    Here is the comparison between modern organic farming and older bio-dynamic farming which seems there is quite lot of differences but, if we dig into older organic farming and older bio-dynamic farming i find little or no differences between them.

    I like the holistic approch of taking care of plants, soil, animals and humans. But for the ritual-based practices, it is just stuff that humans made up and some people choses to belive in, like any religion. I would stick to the things that works (scientifically approved) and cut out the other parts. You can still live just as harmonically without the time consuming rituals.

    • @williamburke9947
      @williamburke9947 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rituals throughout time have had scientific reasons for the strength, most scientific institutions are too afraid and Christian influenced to give Biodynamics a chance. Just look at the history of the Alan Chadwick garden at UCSC, he spear headed their sustainable ag department but pushed him off the land.

    Not even 30 seconds in and I already detected several false statements:
    - Organic farming doesn't require rebuilding the humus
    - Organic farming definitely allows the use of chemicals, even pesticides. They just have to be approved. Some pesticides like pyrethrum/pyrethrins kill bees.
