Nice Snapper and Bream man that Lake can be tough at times lot of casts covering a lot of water just a though I think it fishes best one week leading into full and new moons
Yer i was happy with the fish dave always good times when u get a big fish of its species. An i dont get enough days off to look at moon phases 🤣 i just when im off an thats it. I do have preferences as to whens best but work gets in the way of all that 😩
Same mate all my usual spots have bn slow. Luckily i fished pittwater twice to mix it up. Had more success there than i have in the lake recently. Snuck out this morning to wangi an got some fish. No giants but better than donuts 🍩 we just have to keep going mate it will turn on soon surely 🤞
Hey Andrew, that red and bream you got made it well worth while👍I found it a tough bite over easter. Lots of casting unproductively. Got a few flatties between 45 and 69, couldn't crack 70😂, a few reds too(but no where near yours) and a 42 bream in the dark. Not too good considering it was over 4 mornings
Its bn horrid pete on bites. Slow days lots of casts and big fish very hard to tempt. Lucky i fished a few new areas on my days off at least they produced some bigger fish.
I was thinking of u mate when i got that bream 🤣 i knew ud love it. What a chunk it was, the video didnt do it justice either. Thanks for watching mate 👍
Hey Andrew it was great to actually meet you in person on Sunday on the Hunter river, although i didn't actually formally introduce myself as I was a little embarrassed about a smell that was coming from tinny that I couldn't figure out what it was. It literally smelt like shit and you probably could smell it Im guessing, and that's why I cut our chat short. When I got up river I turned my tinny upside down to find what the cause of the smell was and it turns out that was a half a bag of tuna berly pellets under my fuel tank that had got wet and was admitting a horrific smell😂 so I apologise if i appeared rude by not introducing myself and it was a pleasure to actually meet in person as I have much respect for you.🙏 By the way cracking red and bream mate well done.
No good mate i can imagine how it must have smelt in the boat. I didnt notice it anyway so was just in your boat mate. Good to meet u out there im sure we will catch up again on the water soon as im out most weekends somewhere. I was stoked with that snapper it was a cracker 👍 at least u found the source of the smell. Imagine a few more days baking in the sun 🤣 ud b lucky to get in the boat.
Looks like you had a nice day with the weather Andrew. Another top video mate I always enjoy your videos mate. I've noticed lately that you use the green colour lures is that a fav colour for you? I'm looking at heading your way this week or next just trying to work out the weather.
Wasnt too bad Reg for a change, im just using whatever colours i have left in the box no real reason for the change except that. Just seeing what works and what doesnt. Hopefully the weather plays good for u mate keep me posted on how u go 👍
Mate what a session! Only you can pull squids with a vibe - you could catch a fish blind folded haha That snapper put up an unreal fight! And that fish is a grinner - they plague the channel whenever I go jigging at the bridge they always take my jigs (even if the jig is half the size of it hahaha)
Haha so a bit of a pest then. I dont do much jigging probably why i never get them. Still fun to catch anything i guess they all count 👍 squid love a vibe when im using em 🤣 bit annoying really.
Gday Andrew enjoying the content mixing it up heaps. Have you tried the tn 50 or 60 in the salt I just thought of it while watching keep up the great work
Hey Andrew, happy easter mate. Yer used it bunch years ago. Tn 60 works great on flattys and the tn 50 was awesome in the river on bream. Definitely bn trying to mix up the content alot instead of just chasing jewys all the tiime.
@Lowysfishing thanks Andrew happy Easter aswell. Might give them a try got a few I've only used in freshwater. Your catching some great fish with lots of different lures. I hit pittwater years ago around those morings for my first kingfish. Maybe venture a bit further south around Scotland Island there are a few wrecks plus some great fish.
@@andrewburrell5814 im keen to explore more around there just need better wind conditions in my small boat. That close to the oceam who knows what u can catch.
