TODAY I have had my Rottweiler put to sleep I am heartbroken he never put a foot wrong in the ten years I had him excellent with children, always showed a loving side to everybody. unfortunately, he got bone cancer and was in a lot of pain he was a gentle giant why do people make them out to be vicious the dog is a loving breed, there are no bad dogs just bad owners. RIP ROCKY.

My friend owns a Rottweiler. She is called Tegan. When we first met, I was a little anxious. She approached me and sniffed me. She allowed me to stroke her. We became friends. Whenever my friend goes away on holiday (vacation) - Tegan comes to stay with me at my home. She is soo loving. She always lays at the side of me on the sofa and cuddles up to me. I love the way she tells me that she needs to go for a walk. She has a certain look on her face and then she taps me with her paw. She is gentle when she plays. If she nips me a little too hard and it hurts and I say 'OUCH!' - she immediately stops, looks remorseful and then she kisses me - as if to say sorry. My heart melts. I give her a big cuddle and tell her, 'Aww its ok.' She's a little bit stubborn when I ask her not to do something but she is never agressive. At night when I go to bed - she follows me to the bedroom and jumps onto my bed. She lays at the side of me all night. She makes me feel protected. Most of all - she makes me feel loved. I always miss her when she has to go back home. Whenever I visit my friend - she always runs up to me with like a happy look on her face. When I kneel down - she puts both of her paws on my shoulders and gives me lots of licks on my face. I used to be frightened of Rottweilers because there were a lot of bad press about them a long time ago - here in the UK press. But they are nothing like the press made them out to be. The press said that they are devil dogs. No they are not bad dogs. They are very loving - good temperament - great fun and very protective and loyal. Sure, they can be viscious when provoked or need to defend - but aren't most dogs like that? I love Rottweilers. One day - I will own one for sure :)
And they are also extra protective when it comes to know that what it loves is under threat. There was case of a rottweiler who killed a guard in India. Well that was because it mistook the situation

Most rewarding thing we’ve done as there’s heaps of forgotten rotties dying in shelters cause they no longer a puppy. Typing this comment as Sooki is sleeping on me haha. Best of luck with yours ! I miei non conoscono catene , hanno uno spazio di 600mq, li ho fatti socializzare da quando avevano 60 giorni con esseri umani ed altri animali. È logico che quando un estraneo si avvicina alla mia proprietà, loro diventano aggressivi… è la loro indole. Proteggere i componenti del branco. Non hanno mai fatto del male ai 5 gatti che ho, o alle galline e conigli, ne ai bambini. Anzi quando stanno in giardino si mettono intorno a guardia. È una razza stupenda ma bisogna saperli gestire. Il rott non è per tutti

Io avevo un pastore tedesco che purltroppo mi è morto a gennaio, l'ho facevo uscire circa 3 volte a giorno 1 ora di camminata ciascuna, il rottweiler è diverso quate volte lo devo portare in giro? Io faccio un lavoro di 10 circa è ho paura di non dedicargli il tempo che ha bisogno. Secondo avrò problemi? Grazie gentilissimo
We love our Titan. We rescued him a year old from a shelter and had a trainer come in the home to teach my hubby and I how to handle a large breed. He's six now, always sweet, protective, and such a clown. Smart as can be. Once you get a rottie, there's no other dog. Something about their protective nature and beauty. Love Rotties!

Absolutely love these dogs. Never had a breed that was so eager to learn and please. One thing i couldnt deal with is when they get older and the health problems set in. Lost one to hip dysplasia and the other which was the perfect dog in everyway possible to a stomach tumor. Couldnt deal with the loss anymore but i love everything about this breed
I forgot to Socialize my 130 lb German rott Girl , but we lve in a fence up security door gate , she would need to stand up and have keys to open pad lock , gate door and door to escape but she has no desired for that .
Riley is my 4 year old German Rottie that loves to cuddle. She is 130 pounds of pure grace and love. Hands down best dog I have ever owned. Very underrated on their intelligence.
I rescued my Male Rottweiler at the Age of two Years from a drug-addicted, homeless Person. She was not absolutely not able to handle this very big Dog and I noticed this. He was not trained at all but he learns quick and he is very intellegent. Now, he is six Years and very happy. I'm in Love with him! 😍
Sep 9 was 7 years since i had to put my Rotti "Ruger" down. To this day i love dogs but haven't gotten over him to get another. Thick and thin he was always there. VERY Loving, smart, obedient and oh so protective when called upon. They say when i twin dies the other feels it and i truly believe he was my twin. Ruger, i WILL see you again bud.
Omg Rotts are truly the best dogs in the world. My Rott Shiloh was was sooo sweet and gentle with my daughters growing up. They will literally die to keep your families safe. It's their instinct. I miss my.Shiloh so much, best dog I've ever had. I've had pitbulls too and Rotts are by far the superior breed, very very intelligent dogs. A lil stubborn at times but well worth it with all the love they share.

I got my first rot in 1978. I got 2 of his nephews in 1987. I got a GermanShepard . in 1996. The Shepard’s tail was a little hard to get used to, but I like it on the Rots.

My Rott was trained in personal protection. If the sleeve came off, she spit it out and focused on the attacker. She loved people, especially kids. I could leave her in the house with kids and if somebody got in, it was over for them. Best dog ever.
I too have a rottie and we call him cizzor, he is very sweet and is very loyal. Recently my love has developed epilepsy and its really sad to see him suffering. One must have this beautiful creature.
I love the fact that Rotts are good with kids and protective over loved ones. No stranger would dare enter the yard without a family member escorting them. They also the best dogs for hunting.. My grandfather used to own one until he was bitten by a snake and unfortunately died.
Im a lifelong Rottie owner and I'd never use one as a hunting dog. They literally, literally have zero history or characteristics as a hunting dog. Zero.

We had rottweilers for about 20 years. They are the best breed a person could ever want. Our old rottweile had to be put down sometime back. Miss him all the time. The best dog for kid's. They will be with the kid's and watch over them and play with them. They are a part of the family.
If treated right and loving and caring and tons of play time they are amazing pets and companions my Rottweiler big jack was so friendly with everyone he met and wanted you to say hi to him every time and wanted to play constantly so being quite with him was impossible I train martial arts and he loves watching me and tried it which was hilarious my brother also loved him and all three of us boys rough and tumbled with him a lot but he knew when to be gentle and soft he even farted in my face one morning and it smelled like death and then he gave me kisses lol I miss you jack rest easy bro

I had to put Starsky, my Rottie, down seventeen months ago and I'm still not over it. I think while we love all our pets, we have that one special one that makes all the difference and Starsky was that dog. He protected both me and our entire sketchy neighborhood from roving gangs of kids (and some adults) who were shite scared of him, for good reason. Starsky would have taken a bullet for me. Whiskey (my chocolate lab) would fire the gun at me if the killer just tossed his ball around for a minute or two.
They never give up they never stop they never quit. Amazing breed wonderful dogs best guardians. This last one reminds me of my Bushka. Same face same eyes...RIP my baby love. Unbelievable...

I just had to put mine down. He was very old and in pain. I got him when I was 13 years old. I'm 28 now. He was the best. Very loving and protective but very good with the family. I am the only one that he 100% respected and he was loyal. It's hard to see him in other dogs you know but I'm here because my father in law is about to get one. Very smart, strong and protective dogs. They need alot of attention.

I have never had to train any of my Rotts.They like most dogs know what's right and wrong.They can smell and sense when they have to protect and when they don't. From a baby to a toddler to a child up to a adult they know instinctively how to behave.Thats my experience with my Rottweilers

iv'e had 5 rotties , all rescue animals. they are an awesome dog , so loyal , smart . had my last one put to sleep last year , she was 17 years old and still feisty . i couldn't have another one , she broke my heart . now i have a bull mastiff , he's a good dog too .

My Rott was trained in personal protection. If the sleeve came off, she spit it out and focused on the attacker. She loved people, especially kids. I could leave her in the house with kids and if somebody got in, it was over for them. Best dog ever.

I love the fact that Rotts are good with kids and protective over loved ones. No stranger would dare enter the yard without a family member escorting them. They also the best dogs for hunting.. My grandfather used to own one until he was bitten by a snake and unfortunately died.
Im a lifelong Rottie owner and I'd never use one as a hunting dog. They literally, literally have zero history or characteristics as a hunting dog. Zero.

We had rottweilers for about 20 years. They are the best breed a person could ever want. Our old rottweile had to be put down sometime back. Miss him all the time. The best dog for kid's. They will be with the kid's and watch over them and play with them. They are a part of the family.

If treated right and loving and caring and tons of play time they are amazing pets and companions my Rottweiler big jack was so friendly with everyone he met and wanted you to say hi to him every time and wanted to play constantly so being quite with him was impossible I train martial arts and he loves watching me and tried it which was hilarious my brother also loved him and all three of us boys rough and tumbled with him a lot but he knew when to be gentle and soft he even farted in my face one morning and it smelled like death and then he gave me kisses lol I miss you jack rest easy bro

I had to put Starsky, my Rottie, down seventeen months ago and I'm still not over it. I think while we love all our pets, we have that one special one that makes all the difference and Starsky was that dog. He protected both me and our entire sketchy neighborhood from roving gangs of kids (and some adults) who were shite scared of him, for good reason. Starsky would have taken a bullet for me. Whiskey (my chocolate lab) would fire the gun at me if the killer just tossed his ball around for a minute or two.
They never give up they never stop they never quit. Amazing breed wonderful dogs best guardians. This last one reminds me of my Bushka. Same face same eyes...RIP my baby love. Unbelievable...

Gabriel Archibald , our first Rottie, his favorite toy was a bowling ball. He’d pick it up and carry it. Scared the shit out of servicemen who came to our house. But he was a pussycat. (Unless you threatened his family)

I just had to put mine down. He was very old and in pain. I got him when I was 13 years old. I'm 28 now. He was the best. Very loving and protective but very good with the family. I am the only one that he 100% respected and he was loyal. It's hard to see him in other dogs you know but I'm here because my father in law is about to get one. Very smart, strong and protective dogs. They need alot of attention.

I have never had to train any of my Rotts.They like most dogs know what's right and wrong.They can smell and sense when they have to protect and when they don't. From a baby to a toddler to a child up to a adult they know instinctively how to behave.Thats my experience with my Rottweilers
