Hi Jordan the first two reds ate rollers and the last one you think is a tiger grizzle is another roller apart from the racer the rest are coloured ferals there is 2 white fantails in that bunch they look to be paired I would take them aswell if you want to get pigeons staying there brilliant as they don't fly very far and easy to rehome
Those are some solid animals you got. I’m a total sucker for color birds because you can’t get anything besides white and blue bar pigeons where I live. If I where you I’d probably keep a pair of those helmets and sell the rest. No need for that many in my opinion. Great to see you getting the kids involved too, I learned about animals from my dad the same way. I’ve found ringneck doves to be the best for kids. They basically sit totally still on your hand and won’t really go anywhere. They’re super easy and fun for the kids to hold. If you see some at the auction I’d give them a try.
I would have brought most pigeon just like you. Definitely want to see where this goes? Also are you going to upgrade your pigeon loft in your barn? Like add windows or vent for air circulation

Would love an update. I was telling my sister about those types of pens and I was thinking they would probably be wonderful for meat rabbits? So I was curious to see if you have used your pens for rabbits or for birds and how do you like the pens?
it is a tiger Grizel but a lighter one, because tiger grizel has a black tail and black on wings feather, but if you do pair it with the black you will get darker grizel.

I do think the first two are pretty, the third does have pretty trim on the wings, I do have a fondness for a big chonk of a bird, but I think my favorite is the first one your boy picked, the reduced bar is also quite pretty. I don't think any of them are bad picks.
Hey Jordan if I was you I would catch all the ex racing pigeons out of the bundle of birds you just bought and put them into the racers loft so they are happy with there own breed and you want cross breed them. Some of those race birds could be really good and probably worth a lot of money.
looking back you have a couple rollers and 1 (redbar) is a tippler. Main way to tell is eye color. Tipplers have clear eyes and rollers have yellow eyes
@@Metrzan you get a lot of rollers that also have white tippler eyes.. rollers can have orange eye black eyes and even tippler white eyes don’t make a difference.. few of them were defo rollers like the red and the grizz and the print looking one.. even prob the reduced looked like a roller.. it’s probably Kuz most of them were mixed bred. But yeah not all white eyes pigeon are tiplers. Iv Been keeping pigeons since I was 11 and I am 31 now that’s from my experience
Alright Jordan what it looks like the Homer racing pigeons have been paired up to the fancy birds like tumbler’s plus the 2pure white look like fan tail’s so there the easiest birds to get flying they don’t go far but you have few young birds you should be getting them out for a fly the youngsters won’t go now we’re they no no we’re else so try get a set of Bob traps in and them youngsters you bred most of them you’ll get flying to your loft, 🤞luck,just try a few youngsters at a time once you get a few flying to ur loft the rest will follow, 👍🇮🇪DUBLIN🇮🇪👏👏,
We just like a variety of pretty colored pigeons. We usually catch and sell most of the solid colored birds at caged animal sale 75 miles away in missouri a couple of times a year. And often some of those return home.
Pair the one you think is a tiger grizzle with either a pure white or pure black pigeon the offspring will tell you definitely if it's a tiger grizzle or not

Only way to find out what the roller/tumbler and tippler looking birds are is in the sky.
