Angelina doesn't cover song. She takes them to the new level and uncovers them and makes them fresh and so so much more relevant than the original artist intended. Toby Gad is a multi Grammy award winning songwriter and producer. He has worked with many of the biggest superstars in the music industry producing award-winning hits. He is currently in process of producing an album of his top eight songs called Piano Diaries. He invited Angelina to perform this song which was originally made famous by Beyoncé in 2008, and has received over 600 million views. Most so far believe this version is much more touching and emotional, and Angelina has made it hers. Toby and Angelina are working on some original music coming in the next few months, possibly as an album. He is very influential in the industry and this undoubtedly is a huge break for Angelina.

Nice reaction! On the piano is the co-writer of the song, Toby Gad. Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song is about. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. Angelina and Toby have been working together for a while now and are creating new music for her to sing. They teased a song at a special event called Bad Valentine and it should be coming out within a few months. This collaboration is awesome! The Piano Diaries is Toby's project of other singers singing his most famous songs. Angelina of course is singing this song made famous by Beyonce.

This cover is glorious, it lets her voice absolutely shine. Thanks to Toby for asking AJ to sing this reinvented cover of his song for his Piano Diaries album. Toby is quoted saying, “Working with Angelina has been nothing short of inspiring. Her ability to channel profound emotion through her voice adds a whole new depth to the song.” They are also working on other songs for AJ. This will be huge for her. After 16 years of practice Angelina has now arrived.

This is how this song was meant to be sung....just took a master class vocalist to bring it to life....no disrespect to Beyonce cover of this song but not even in the same class, just the way it is. 🥰🥰 Thanks Alan, nice to see you back on occasions with the young lady that this multi Grammy winning songwriter/musician/producer here on the piano has already said will be the next superstar....he should know.
