Building The Pillar of Malice | Time-lapse | Outpost: Infinity Siege

- G'day again legends! This is my submission build for the Masters of Architecture the devs over @Outpost_Infinity_Siege have running for Event A, The Pillar of Malice, designed as the sister hull to the Pride of Benevolence hence the similar look, the Malice is designed to Anchor a point though where as the Benevolence is designed to be a Vanguard.
This base build is can be internally navigated and is made to fit as realistic as I could without gimping it, I did have to go lower then I would like on Core Output due to the Mechbay taking up a lot of room and without Hand Z to pull off some building tricks to give myself a bigger canvas so to say it was very limiting. Regardless, here she is, I hope y'all like it and let me know what you think in the comments! I will be posting a link to a Short once I get enough nice footage to do one! Till then, be legendary!

I love how these bases are given names that straight up sound like super villain lairs lmao
I mean, it's hard to make names that aren't already taken, plus, you pull the trigger on one of these warcrimes your basically a evil villian :P was thinking of calling one the Cardinal Hatred (Since it wipes out compass points), I just wish I could build my main hull in a game :(

I really need to go checkout some car boot markets or something and try and source some better components
For me? Its the missiles and mortars that add the extra bit of "YEAH!" to this build. Too bad those naval guns cant be turned vertical.... you could probably get those spaced, with more guns between a set of them... make it look like the mandibles of an angry ant god...... some sort of OmniFire Ant :)
The Railcannons don't need to turn, the 105mm on each side more then make up for it, the reasons for them there is to protect them from missiles and stray railgun shots, and they need minimal rotation to track the big bosses that spawn in the front, every build i've done with full rotating turrets either looks hidious or does work out because it gets hit by everything, plus, it's kinda massive and if the barrels hit something else it locks the whole gun up, ontop of being impossible to feed enough ammo with everything else to keep it firing, so yeah :P
I am working on a version that has them in a tower kinda thing, like a weaponised conning tower I guess, I like the idea of an ant look though.. Hmm..

A lovely build, took a while to get through watching all of it due to some life and some pauses to try out building similar things. Even got my first Uranium today. I hope you will build another soon, although the placement glitch doesn't seem to work any more, that or I am doing it wrong.
Congratulations on the uranium! The 105mm Twin you make with it is amazing even late game! Thank you so much for watching and I am happy you enjoyed it! Yeah they removed the Hand Z method of placement, which is a bummer, but! There are still ways to make things look good without it, just wait till phase 3 drops!

I really like this build, how did you get the ungodly amounts of Xenium ore for the conveyors? I Havent found a trader that has either the ore nor the conveyor.
An ungodly amount of runs, I got pretty lucky with Xenium, I manually run stuff though, so I find 20+ a run generally, this base wasn't super effecient with convayers, but i learnt a lot and the next one has much more optimized belts, way less belts for a much bigger ammo network

idk if that would be possible but could you add a quick tutorial video with basic layouts for energy rooms ? or how to use space efficiently with them. I can see it in video but cant process it hah.
I have been considering something like this, other then being sick at the moment and my voice not being up to the task, I feel really awkward recording myself
A suggestion: When doing these timelapses maybe add comments on what you are currently doing or thinking, like when you were building the massive conveyor line, or when you built so many fricken healers. Explaining why could add a bit more interest from us to the video. Even if its just highlighted text in the video I would be fine with that.
So yes, 100%, I would love too, my editing software is free and I am a horrible learner, and everytime I try adding text it messes up everything, even the bit at the end of the video with text is separate video i add at the end. Ideally I would love to have text pop ups to explain at least where my head is with each idea, and I want to get it to that stage, just have to learn how to use these programs and tools better, thank you very much for the feedback, means a tonne you took the time to share!

I have just wanted a game where I can build my ideal vehicle, a genuine and massive landship, something that makes the cities of Mortal Engines look small and weak, I have had this behemoth I want to build but in this game 1 platform would fit maybe a slat of tread, think a Aircraft Supercarrier and a WW2 Battleship became a tank

@@JesturrTV No limits !! Build Planes, Warships, submarines, Land vehicles, structures, mechs. Even Spaceships.
Yes amphibious ships/submarines/vehicles too. The only limit I know of in this game is ones' own imagination. Which I lack ahahahaha

Been meaning to ask, how did you unlock the viper chain guns and the type 30 CIWS? I have researched everything yet still don't have them. Also, great build as always man
they are part of the vanguard edition of the game

As Casper said, however, the CWIS Type 30 is the same as the standard version, the only difference is its hitbox and gun placement, the Viper is unique, but yeah, you need the Vanguard version to access both

Someone remembered! I am indeed, it’s the current project, after Hand Z got removed it has made building something on a larger scale much harder, and I have had to restart serveral times, this one was just for the contest that was being held :)

@@ikerb1232 I’m using a Ryzen 5 5600 if that gives you some idea, it is a bit rough during the actual missions when all the pew is happening though

Question do you have to manually move those mechs outside or can they do it themselves?
I mean you can control them in RTS mode, but I only activate them at the beginning and put them into positions before the first wave

@@JesturrTV i really am :D not that far just defeated kronos. Been trying to level up squad and ... am in Loot goblin phase, want to have enough stuff to really get further extremely prepared. want to roll out with a base thats inspiring like yours are :D your videos really hype me up for it!!

while seeing this, my own building confidence is getting near the non ecisting point. well, with my outpost only lv 5 i cant do anything anyways LOL
Mate, you can do a lot with an ATC 5, take a look at the Snow and City ideas, they are on low level ATCs, you don't need an area code to be a badass! But once you finish the campaign and max out your research, that's when the building really comes into its own

love your vids so far, but if I might give a suggestion; maybe use other music occasionally! otherwise is great :>
Thank you very much, yeah, the issue is editing in the music, most songs are 2 minutes long, the music is more just there as filler, also, copyright stuff hits hard, I had to redo the first video a punch of times with different music till it did one that didn't lock out some countries and stuff, thank you for the feedback but I hope you understand the issue too
@@JesturrTV yeah that's fair, it just gets a bit spooky hearing the same song for hours on loop! I hope you're eventually able to figure out something to do for it as yeah... youtube can be a bit unforgiving
Yeah, but that's why I am playing it safe, and I have to listen to each song to see if I like the vibe, or if it switches to vibe half way through and stuff, so it's a lot and I am way out of my element with this editing, I am just using a free program so my tools are limited and I am not sharpest tool in the shed, I do promise to work on it though :) as time goes on and I get more used to this I hope to pick up better skills and quality :) thank yo ufor taking the time to watch the videos though, means a tonne!
