In this scene, you can tell how two-faced cassie is, and how distant everyone else is from rue. Although Maddy and Rue aren’t really shown together a lot, she’s the only one that gives rue a full, genuine hug. She hugged her with so much love even though rue was sweaty, stinky, and in the middle of withdrawal.

@@nicoleheartscheer that’s because of what Rue did. Eye for an eye. @@misko3092 I don’t think so. I think she’s just a teenage girl who so desperately wants to be loved by a boy that she doesn’t realize that the love of her friends is just as important
You can tell they have a good friendship, even if they don't talk to each other as often, Rue was always honest w Maddy and Maddy believes Rue over Cassie, you can also see that Maddy truly appreciates Rue when she gave her the strongest and longest hug in that episode even though we all know Rue probably smelled terrible from the police chasing her.
It’s the fact that Cassie had to look around for validation after telling rue to “take it one day at a time,” says a lot about her character. Cassie knows she’s been doing bad things so In order to make herself feel better she need recognition for doing something good. Ever heard the phrase “ if you climb up a tree and pick ten apples, then climb back down from the tree and tell everyone how many apples you’ve picked, you didn’t really pick any apples at all. Cassie’s positive comment to rue didn’t come out the goodness of her heart, or else why would she need validation from others. It’s also strange how Maddie believed rue over Cassie. Cassie and Maddie are obviously closer so it would be odd to have Maddie believe rue over Cassie. She could have suspected this before rue said anything, but it doesn’t help That Cassie is crying and avoiding eye contact with Maddy and then turning the tables and saying “ I don’t know why your believing her she’s a drug addict.” We’ve got to see how Maddie has grown up. How she idolizes the women her mom kneels before. I am 100% positive that Maddie knows when someone is lying. That’s her personality. sharp, brutally honest, confident. She doesn’t like to be lied to because she has no reason to be lied to, especially by her best friend and her boyfriend. Unlike Cassie, Maddie doesn’t throw other under the bus, that’s not what she does. Cassie was just digging her grave even deeper when she tried to make everyone believe her by making the other person (rue) look bad (don’t believe her bc she’s a drug addict.) But when we see Cassie protecting her dad it’s different, right? Because Cassie loves her dad and not rue right? Cassie’s dad is a drug addict, but she would never tell on him for coming in the middle of the night to steal pots and pans right? This is a perfect example of how Cassie can be selfish at times. She will protect those if there is something good coming out of it for her. For her dad, if she protected him he will stay. For rue, when she told on her others would believe her, but they didn’t. Lexi snaps at Cassie for being so egotistical about her looks. All her life everyone has told Cassie how beautiful she is. Lexi didn’t get the same attention so like others she had to learn how to make something of herself. She doesn’t understand how Cassie can be so arrogant when she already has enough attention. In lexis mind Cassie should be grateful. Cassie’s gotten a lot of attention so being under somebody’s shadow ( likes maddies) can be hard for someone like Cassie. That’s why Cassie decided to go swimming during Maddies birthday party. She couldn’t handle the fact that Nate was there for Maddie not her. So what does she do? Try’s to steal the attention from her best friend because she’s jealous. I mean what did she really think was gonna happen. She was just gonna stay with Nate and Maddie would find out but be cool with it and they’d all be friends at the end of the day. No. Stop trying to justify your own mistakes. She’s told Nate that Maddie and him are not good together , and that she’s Maddie’s best friend and doesn’t want her to get hurt. Hurt by Nate. But she’s actually hurting Maddie herself, but again that doesn’t matter bc Cassie is getting something good out of this conflict. Attention from a boy. It doesn’t matter if she hurts Maddie but it DOES matter if nate hurts Maddie. Now rue didn’t have to tell Maddie about Cassie and nate and at the time she was not telling Maddie out of the goodness of her heart. She was telling Maddie to cause a distraction to get away from her mum that was coincidentally there. But Cassie does not have the right to try and break up Nate and Maddie. Cassie does not have a say so in their relationship. Cassie does not have a right to tell rue to take it one day at a time when she’s been doing bad things everyday to Maddie.
The most realistic part of euphoria is all the female friendships are completely fake and only last as long as it takes self-interest to become more important. Like real women.
Maddy believed Rue more because of how quickly Cassie called Rue a Drug addict , she change from a soft caring person to throwing anyone and their flaws for some kind of protection.
Like 13 Reasons Why, it's an over the top take on life as a high schooler. This is definitely more grounded than 13 Reasons Why, but it still is of course at the end of the day...a teen drama which can get a little wild
That's just letting you know how bad of a friend someone can really be! They will tell on you but they won't tell on themselves what's going on! That's a stab in the back there! Feel bad for Rue!
Rue was wrong for not just going to Maddy. One on one. Disrespectful to Maddy. In my opinion. Rue just said it to get the focus off of her. Otherwise I don’t think she would of said a thing about it.
That's exactly why Rue brought it up. People were talking about how much Rue needed help with her addiction and at the time Rue didn't want that help. She knew about Cassie and Nate for a while and only brought it up when her addiction was being talked about. I doubt she would've brought it up otherwise, but at the same time, Maddy would've been even more pissed had the truth been hidden from her any longer.
I think Cassie actually wanted to help Rue, her advice wasn't so bad, but Rue just exposed her so all the attention was on Cass while Rue is running away
When this season came out, I hated Cassie. Still I can’t help but to feel bad for her in this scene. She was genuinely trying to be supportive of Rue and Rue threw her completely under the bus.
it's because maddy already had her suspicions (it was obvious during the tub scene) but she chose her love for cassie and believed that she couldn't possibly do that to her.
Cassie’s been acting weird ever since the New Years Party distancing herself from her friends to be around Nate, then when asked and confronted about it, she’s shocked that someone else knew about her affair with her best friend’s ex. Out of all people to name that was in that room she singles out Cassie and Cassie only and not cause of the side comments cause they honestly all was

As someone who has had substance abuse issues in the past, the way Zendaya was able to portray what it's like to go through severe withdrawal was absolutely spot-on.. She really is an amazing acctress and I'm glad she got the credit she deserved for this role! - they all did a great job.
In the new season they should really show more of Rue and Maddie’s friendship . It’s underrated fr 💕.
“ Rue.. When was this “ 💅🏾💅🏾 I literally love that phrase
It’s always about the nails
@@b.radleypro.369 yes it is
Rue did what any thinking drug addict in the hot seat would've done.
Lol yup so true!
rue is a very smart drug addict
😂😂😂😂😂😂
As a former heroin addict...she definitely did lol. Honestly the episode where she runs from the police & runs into traffic is something I did once. It was a weird episode for me but brilliantly done. Can't wait for next season.
Not going lie but cassie is so wrong for saying “ I don’t know why you’re believing her , shes a drug addict “
Edit : y’all are getting so pressed💀 but what I meant by Cassie is wrong for saying that is because earlier she was sorta comforting rue saying “ just take it one day at it time “ but then after she gets exposed she turns her back against rue and blames her and her drug problems ( “ she’s a drug addict “ ) right after she told rue it’s okay
Especially after trying to be 'positive' and 'supportive'
@@coutureclique3341 LITERALLY LIKE BROO!!!!she was being such a horrible friend like she was telling her like take it a day at a time and then saying “ she’s a drug addict “ implying that it’s her fault-

That nail click though🥵
I haven't even watched the show by itself but Maddy and Rue feel like better friends than any other duo or group imo. Maddy understood the effect that Rue's addiction had on her life and never judged her once- that's a ride-or-die whether they eat lunch together or not.
The scene where Cassie says, “Just take it one day at a time.😇” makes my blood boil! Everyone else is so heartbroken and sad about Rue’s drug abuse and she just says something that makes her sound nice and looks around for approval! Like girl. THIS 👏IS 👏 NOT 👏 ABOUT 👏 YOU 👏
period she tries to make everything about her
now it is. she wanted attention and now she got it
But it's true? She was at least trying to help.

I love how Maddy goes from yelling: “JUST BE FUCKING HONEST BITCH”
To then a soft tone: “Rue how long?”
She genuinely cares for her friends, that she can’t even yell at Rue when is pissed tf off. This shows Cassandra betraying her is really what broke her heart.
In the same scene she yelled at Kat to shut the fuck up😂
My favorite part was when she’s outside the bathroom door and telling Cassie this isn’t abt Nate this is abt them and their friendship. How friends don’t do this to each other.
Cassandra??

Rue saying that raises suspicion, meanwhile Cassie being an absolutely horrible liar just confirms it. Obviously no one would believe her.
Maddie - "I'm gonna f**k you."🤣🤣 That was so funny though.
Thought of adding something light for this heavy and chaotic moment.

When Maddy says, “I would have never done this to you.” 💔😭such a beautiful friendship ruined!
IS CASS A BAD PERSON?
I cried at that
@@misko3092 I don’t think so. I think she’s just a teenage girl who so desperately wants to be loved by a boy that she doesn’t realize that the love of her friends is just as important

Maddie make that "it's okay sweetie" when Cassie look around for approval. The SUPPORT she lost, omg

I hope you are alright.

That Maddy iconic hand gesture 🤏🏻🖐🏻🤌🏻✨
I think she believed Rue since Cassie showed it in her expression the second Rue mentioned it.
I love how Maddie hugged Rue. But Cassie even blaming Rue after pretending to care for her was messed up
What episode was this ?
@@MeiChyYine 5
I don’t even watch Euphoria but I’ve watched this scene on repeat- the acting, Maddy yelling at Cassie, the ✨nAiLs✨- it’s literally the best
Drug addicts can be honest and clean people can be toxic - a good friend always knows the difference ❣️
This was awesome. You completely broke down the show, and the whole clusterfudge that happened in Season 2.
Do you have more like on other shows cause it is amazing how you analysed it
The analysis goes tuff😤😤
I wish this comment can get pinned!
damn😭 did anyone read this???
Cas really thought she did something before rue exposed her 😭
And then showed her true colors with the "idek why you believe her, she's a drug addict" argument
Cassie didn't denied quickly, she started crying that's why
rue said this to not only help maddy but to also get away from her mom
The most realistic part of euphoria is all the female friendships are completely fake and only last as long as it takes self-interest to become more important.
Like real women.
Maddy believed Rue more because of how quickly Cassie called Rue a Drug addict , she change from a soft caring person to throwing anyone and their flaws for some kind of protection.
the little nose scrunch maddy did after cassie said "take it one day at a time" is so fucking cute

It’s kind of stupid because you know she’s using that to deflect from the fact she’s doing drugs and needs help. And it worked

Typical high school teenage drama stuff
Like 13 Reasons Why, it's an over the top take on life as a high schooler. This is definitely more grounded than 13 Reasons Why, but it still is of course at the end of the day...a teen drama which can get a little wild
Cassie: “Just take it one day at a time”
Rue: “Some of y’all bouta be REAL mad me…”
Cassie before: 😊
Cassie after a few seconds: 😭😭
Man all of these women absolutely killed in this scene. It was impressive from all of the mains 💗
That's just letting you know how bad of a friend someone can really be! They will tell on you but they won't tell on themselves what's going on! That's a stab in the back there! Feel bad for Rue!
My God Maddy is a complete savage when it comes to fighting but I love that fucking perfect personality...😍
The way Cassie scanned the room for approval and didn’t get it 💀🤚🏼
The fact that Cassie could’ve easily lied her way out of this 😂😂
Yeah, but I think Nate would have probably admitted or showed guilt if Maddy asked him.
Fr her reaction gave it away completely. She could’ve easily gaslighted Rue but she folded under the pressure.

She didn't believe Rue OVER Cassie until Cassie immediately started breathing heavily, stumbling on her words, sweating and then crying 🤣

The way everything unraveled in this scene. Amazing
I felt so bad for Cassie in this scene. She was genuinely trying to be positive to her friend & Rue chose violence 😂
I think this is the first trailer I ever saw of Euphoria and now rewatching it, the whole scene makes sense
the way cassie just wanted to spread some positivity by saying her little quote and rue clocked her ass 😭
Maddie makes my mind go
✨Women✨
The fact that she wanna turn it on rue even though she been high and drunk as hell multiple times
Cassy: being wholesome
Rue: asks the question
Cassy: idk why are you believing her she is a stud addict
the fact she gets angry and not worried about cassie is just ☠
Rue was wrong for not just going to Maddy.
Whatever plot goes on the movie. No one can match Sydney's facial expressions ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
lmao, cassie's advice, while she has been on an emotional roller coaster ride throughout
I think Cassie actually wanted to help Rue, her advice wasn't so bad, but Rue just exposed her so all the attention was on Cass while Rue is running away
I miss hearing "bitch your my soulmate"
Cassie: it’s ok, we can help you recover:). Two seconds later: yeah rue, well you’re a crackhead!
When this season came out, I hated Cassie. Still I can’t help but to feel bad for her in this scene. She was genuinely trying to be supportive of Rue and Rue threw her completely under the bus.
People take this show way too seriously

Reasons I can’t watch Euphoria. It’s too god damn traumatic 🥲
Maddy's my favourite 💞
She should get the happy ending ❤️
The end when she said : I'm going fuck you up
I just realized it's that famous sound
What spoke volumes was how Cassie reacted when rue asked the question. Cassie looked guilty which mad Maddy believe that she actually did it.
And she was right to believe Rue 🤷♂️
it's because maddy already had her suspicions (it was obvious during the tub scene) but she chose her love for cassie and believed that she couldn't possibly do that to her.
The way the clip ends is when she says she gonna **** her literally “IM GONNA F YOU”
Cassie’s been acting weird ever since the New Years Party distancing herself from her friends to be around Nate, then when asked and confronted about it, she’s shocked that someone else knew about her affair with her best friend’s ex. Out of all people to name that was in that room she singles out Cassie and Cassie only and not cause of the side comments cause they honestly all was
