On one of those weird Chinese websites, I found what is basically a full aluminum version of the Max Solo, but with a keyring for a priming rod and magnets to hold the barrel in the folded position. On a related note, I have seen a strong picatinny to picatinny rail adapter that can hold that thing in place.

I'd say the two best entry blasters of the year are definitely this one and the Nerf Rival Pilot. While the pilot is a little bigger and not as compact, it can do Short/Long/Mega/ Mega XL/ Rival with relative ease. You canJust pop in a barrel in the breach, add a scar to the barrel and ready to go or do the shell ejection kind of thing. The Solo is great because of the size and the folding capability. I will probably fool around with other ammo types as well, but I feel like this is great as is.
I completely agree! If you want something that just works out of the box for full and half length for the lowest price : get the solo. If you like alternative ammo types and are looking for easy modularity( and you got a little extra cash for the kits) : get the pilot. If you love em both: get em both because at the end of the day they are both extremely easy to use, fun, and affordable.
I was really impressed with how well made this blaster was, particularly with their selection of barrel. From my testing with dart friction it seemed similarly tight to a 13mm ID kury barrel, and the barrel length seems optimal for that plunger size. I initially was going to replace the stock barrel with something else but quickly found the one they included is about as good as it gets on this platform. I'm glad you chrono'd with a worker injection scar, I'll have to try one of those. My worker string scar was too much friction and lowered the FPS to about 60. It's very fun to operate as well as you noted! Great video hope to see more reviews and gameplay footage from you soon!
I noticed my aim improved when I point my index finger down the side of the barrel and use my middle finger for the trigger.

I like to use the Picatinny rail to connect it to another blaster, using a rail to rail adapter
