    Love how you always share every tiny detail on how to do a technique. For instance, leaving that tiny little space between the rings makes all the difference in how nicely the rings sit in this design. That's an important detail that others might forget to mention. 👍👏 Thank you for great details.

      Thank you! I try to think of what would make it easier for me - I'm someone who needs details.... I'm a little bit of a perfectionist 😆

    Each video I see from my subscribed list I consider based on title and thumbnail whether to watch it. I watch waaay too much TH-cam. I don’t bother doing that with your channel because every single one of your videos I have watched I have learned something totally new to me even when I didn’t think I would be interested. I already use up and down joins when tatting front and back and when making blipless joins. I’m not super keen on medallions or doilies and probably would have skipped this video on another channel but it was your channel so I watched. Sure enough I learned. Minding up and down joins to bring elements forward or back. How many joins have I made not noticing this aspect of joins?? You surprise and enchant every single video. Thank you so much for your clear explanations, for the time you take to teach, and for sharing your expertise!

      Wow! What a lovely thing to say! Thank you, that means so much to me - especially considering some of my thumbnails aren't the best! Haha - technology and I aren't great mates... just saying🤪

    Hi Noo!
    Congratulations on your art and for knowing how to teach it so well. I am a beginner in tatting and I have learned a lot from you. I would also like to know how to create drawings...can you please inform which computer application you use to draw?
    Thank you and kisses from Portugal.

      @@NooBearAus Hi. Thank you for your answer. I downloaded Inkscape last week but I'm still trying to learn how to play with it...after seeing how it works in your drawings, I'm sure I'll keep trying. 😘

      I plan to make videos on Inkscape in the future... it's still a little way of though! In the meantime, Tatting By The Bay has a brilliant tutorial on her blog.

    Thanks noo bear !

    Its something I have been wanting to learn esp the joining of last set of rings to the first....and the little tip of leaving gap before small ring seems too gud...will surely try yr method🙋‍♀️
    .....well made video 👍....ma'amwish to see u too in next video !!
    Hav a query
    Can we make a normal UP join when joining 2 large rings.....I noted that u pass the shuttle down in that up join, whereas we pass the shuttle from below up.
    Hope u got my point??

    • @NooBearAus
      @NooBearAus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So glad you liked it..... and oopsie - yes I did! My brain was starting to fade at that point! hehe.
      I think you're referring to the join that connects the first ring to the last ring? This needs to be a folded join or your picot will twist and it won't sit nicely.
      I hope that helps.

    • @tasneemsadiqpetiwala5907
      @tasneemsadiqpetiwala5907 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NooBearAus no, I was referring to regular up join while joining 2 large rings.
      But ooops! Sorry ma' am I was mistaken🤦‍♀️I rewatched the video and saw that u r making a normal up join! It just wrongly appeared to me as if u r passing shuttle from above down.
      I take my words back....thanks for yr reply.stay blessed😍🙋‍♀️

    Hello! I'm working on this pattern, but I'm a bit confused. I'm on my sixth "group" of rings, and mine is just going straight, it hasn't curved at all. And when I try to "force" the ends to meet it just buckles. I'm not sure what I've been doing wrong because the pattern looks correct, but it hasn't started to curve inwards at all. Help!! Love your videos :)

    • @NooBearAus
      @NooBearAus  ปีที่แล้ว

      You have me a little stumped with your question! Following the pattern will give you curved rings, so I'm not really sure what's going wrong. I'm sorry , I realise that doesn't help you - could you PM me some photos, maybe I can work it out for you if I see your work?

    • @nighttimerp4931
      @nighttimerp4931 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NooBearAus The rings are curving and everything looks fine. It's just my whole project is not curving all together. Which as I predicted made it much harder to finish it off because it won't go into a ring. I also don't understand how you're doing the last rings and where and how I'm supposed to hold my hand at the last ring. The positioning is hard to follow when you keep flipping it around and I don't know where the threads are. Maybe I'm too beginner for this project, but it's fully ruined now, sadly. I don't have the skills to save it.
