The swords during the period of the Gurus were made from Faled material, which took upto 2 months to forge and design. These swords were so strong and powerful that in battle when wielded they could cut through the enemies' swords. Each soldier had their handle and grip customized, according to their physical size and strength. Majority of swords forged today are worthless, and show pieces.

In special cases the metal was beaten for an extended period to increase durability and strength. Other than kirpans, Sri Guru Gobind Singh used teer kaman, do you know how many tanki?
