    I think he asked a valid question "if grade 3 muscle tear means the muscle tear off the bone, stretcher affi tek you off the track, you have to use crutches and walk, takes 4 months to heal etc etc.. how did Bolt got up and walk like its nothing, came to the track the next day, did a full lap?" I'm not saying he didn't get injured but, he walked perfectly fine for a man who had the worst of the worst injury to me...

    Well said Tracey in setting the record straight. You critically analyze sporting events in your own unique and comedic way. NO ONE IS ABOVE CRITICISM and Usain is not a sacred cow. You ask reasonable questions and think outside the box most of the times. I may not agree with assessment all the time but at least I can see how and why you have arrived at your conclusions in Sports Commentary.

    Perfect analysis Maverick. I asked the same questions without making any accusations. Fair questions to ask. Some people believe they are above criticism and those are usually the ones that can't tell the difference between criticism and accusation. Bolt, if you're as humble as they say you are, you certainly will realize you're wrong and do the honorable thing and that is to apologize to our mad friend, I mean the maverick.

    You were right about Asafa Powell. He always pulls up 10 to 20 meters before the finish line. Powell stopped running full speed around 2010. Its as if he as low self esteem. He down-hearted too easy. It is a defeated attitude and energy that comes over him if he "THINK" he will lose. He rather stop trying and gets intimidated under pressure. Remember the 2008 Beijing 4x100 final leg when bolt handed the baton to him on the anchor leg. Usain Bolt had to "SCREAM" at Powell to RUN like hell... That is what got Jamaica the World Record back then. ASK Bolt what did he say to Powell on that final changeover . Please. We want to know.

      Watch the 2005 Helsinki 200m final. Tracey is just pushing how he feels but it is unfair to Bolt because nothing is obvious about Tracey's viewpoint. That is not objective. Bolt didn't jog the whole race. He was competitive up to about 140m and then pulled back to a jog. Many athletes pull like that when they feel something..Maverick just throwing unnecessary shade and expect the man to be cool with that. Cant call man a liar and expect smiles.....

    • @KontryBoyz
      @KontryBoyz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@markanthony1523 Mavericks' point of view was based on Bolt saying he tore his hamstring. Therefore, the way in which he reacted wasn't equating to someone who had suffered such an injury. It could very well be that Bolts' pain resistance level is much higher than most other athletes.

    • @markanthony1523
      @markanthony1523 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@KontryBoyz High pain threshold is possible. I've seen a person walk with a gunshot wound to the chest like it wasn't that serious but I don't think/believe Bolt could walk with a grade 3 tear so the report may have been inaccurate. Maverick went about it the wrong way. He didn't even consider an exaggerated report or pain tolerance. Mentioning Helsinki 2005 shows he has some reservations about Bolts competitiveness thinking he also faked injury then. Totally unfair to imply without proper checks. He doesn't really care what anybody thinks. Remember he is a self proclaimed maverick so he will always want to think different but that can cause harm sometimes...

      @KontryBoyz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Real Talk brother, sometimes people just need to satisfy with what God has blessed them with. What Mr Tracy said was in no way ridiculing Bolt. I too made a similar analysis. What about all the times he highlighted Bolt. After all, neither Bolt nor anyone else is above criticism

    • @markanthony1523
      @markanthony1523 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maverick is duping everyone. It is not about being above criticism. Bolt knows that. Maverick's style speaks louder than his words. The issue is he is implying Bolt is a liar and a coward/quitter. That will hurt anybody who respects themselves. Money cannot always protect against that. Want one instance of proof? Watch T-pain docu about him getting depressed because Usher told him he f***ed up music with the auto tune. T-pain was rich at the time but said he still felt depressed for years because of what Usher said and he didnt tell other producers to start using auto tune so yeah WHAT PEOPLE THINK/SAY ABOUT YOU DOES MATTER to some people..esp when its a lie.
      He could roast Bolt all he wants and it wouldn't matter as long as its about something that happened not something he believes happened. Still, I don't think he said Bolt got paid to stop but he planted enough seeds of doubt for people to wonder if Bolt really faked and why so that probably led to the twisted story..

    • @KontryBoyz

      @@markanthony1523 point taken. I respect both gentlemen. Things happen and such is life. I'm not saying Bolt was not truthful about his then injury. However, it did appear questionable. As a media person doing what he does, Maverick did what he did based on his observations and comparisons.
      Once you are in such a spotlight, these things will happen. They'll sometimes hurt much but it comes with the territory.
      My wish is for reconciliation and both gentlemen move on to better and bigger things. Much respect

      Maverick a lot of your followers are bigging you up but let’s think critically here. Bolt has done super human things so is it not possible that because of his mental strength he was able to do the lap around the field while experiencing the grade 3 armstring problem? Did you ever ask for a copy of the medical report and if it says grade 3 then you could do a commentary to put to rest the questions you asked previously? There is two sides to every story.

    • @TeStOs78
      @TeStOs78 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevereid5615 Okay, let's keep it critical. Looking at a grade 3 hamstring injury, the most severe hamstring injury where the muscle either completely tears or rips completely off from the bone, then if Bolt was such a super human, he would have not pulled up, he would have finished the race with the muscle completely raptured. But it's obvious that walking would be difficult after such an injury, much less to running. Think of the enormous amount of mental strength it would take to ignore such pain from a muscle that has teared completely or rip from the bone and you're still trying to run or even walk on it after as normal. I don't see why anyone would do that after such an injury to increase their pain and risk further damage to the muscle unless their life was on the line.

    • @stevereid5615
      @stevereid5615 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TeStOs78 I hear you and can take that point based on the severity of the injury but also is there a difference between running intensely on an injury vs doing a light lap? Again I ask, as a journalist that I have a lot of respect for did you ever try to get the medical report on the injury? Journalism is mostly about the facts right? Am happy you have this TH-cam platform I will follow and dialogue with you on matters of interest to me. I enjoy your program still I will not linger on this matter.

    • @TeStOs78
      @TeStOs78 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevereid5615 Well, a grade 3 hamstring jnjury is considered the most severe level of muscle injury, so severity of the muscle is already explicitly defined base on the level so I'm thinking that severity should not be in question still. It's either a grade 3 injury or it's not. I think you should direct that question more at the Mav in the main comment section though...

    Maverick, love your commentaries because your perspective are spot on most of the time. However, you are missing the big picture. No one is except from criticism, but keep in mind that your views can negatively affect the livelihood of others. Usain said he felt betrayed because the statement made by you did not reflect an accurate depiction of an event that you gave your perspective. Your commentary could have influenced his fan base to question his credibility. We have to careful of the things we say to others and about others. Question, are you aware as to the amount of pain killers Usain had to take to participate in that final farewell presentation? 2. do you know the excruciating paint Usain had to endure to pick himself up from off that track and walked away just to make it appear normal? Critical analysis could have taken that into account. Additionally, you could have focused your narrative on the superhuman strengths of Usain”a mental strength because he wanted to satisfy his audience appetite for greatness, but you did not. I know, controversy sells. As a group, we need to be mindful that what we say can have a negative impact on lives. Right now, Usain does not trust what you say anymore. My suggestion is to reach out and have a real sit down with the big man if he would allow it. Trust me, this will be difficult because he no longer sees you as credible. I wish you the best on this endeavor. I love your show.

      Oral Tracey work is to criticize objectively and that’s what he does, usain bolt must be intelligent enough to know it’s not personal, I listened to both of the clip bolt seems to get his information second hand , iam a fan of bolt but I also questioned his injuries too , so because it usain bolt everybody must assume that’s it was a genuine injury? They are two side to every story and coin’s, based on the nature of the injury he sustained in his farewell race , from a medical perspective he wasn’t supposed to walk so normal and I can bet u he partied after instead of going to doctors.

      Disagree. You seem to have missed the point of journalism. Freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Maverick has a right to express his opinions on actions that he observes irrespective of whether the public may agree with him or not. Bolt, as a public figure, is certainly not exempt from legitimate criticism and commentary. Maverick had raised pertinent questions. You don’t think other ppl were quietly asking the same questions? The public isn’t stupid. But I’m happy that Maverick set the record straight and noted that his analysis was not a personal attack on Bolt.

      This is rubbish and kiss-assery... Bolt is not superman despite his speed....he either did not get a grade 3 year and his injury was much less severe, hence his ability to do what he did after or he was lying. Then we shld ask why? Period. You obviously are clueless about the level of pain involved. Bolt isnt above criticism, bout fan base....if that was to be applied to all, no one in the limelight would be criticized....utter damn nonsense.

    U see how it feel? You always degrade Asafa. What you have been doing to him over the years was bad. You were not being critical, you were destroying him in the eyes of his fans abd the Caribbean community.

    • @LCHedley
      @LCHedley 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Search the meaning of the word 'maverick'. I doubt the purpose of the program was to say what everybody is saying. Sports commentary is not an emotional segment but one built on critical analysis and commentary that is against the grain of what the masses are doing. I think that's what a lot of ppl fail to understand and they expect something from the show that it really wasn't made for.

    • @LCHedley
      @LCHedley 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ben44shallum It's that thinking that has our politics where it is bro. Agreeing with someone's point of view doesn't make me any sort of fan of theirs. I love the work of both gentlemen.
      We're on the same page here cause I believe Bolt too (does that make me a double sycophant? 🤔). I appreciated his response and clarification, as a matter of fact I knew there must have been a reasonable explanation.
      My point was simply that Oral is playing right along with his 'maverick' moniker and what has been expected of 'Sports Commentary' over the years.
      Both individuals apologized. Mr Tracy's apology was because offense was taken. Otherwise he would have nothing to apologize for because in his commentary he simply asked questions . . which were simply clarified and accepted.
      Anyway though, I apologize, not that I think what I said was wrong but I apologize because I didn't intend to offend and you clearly are. Just like Mr Tracy and Bolt we're on the same team. Bless up yourself 🇯🇲
