That 2011 100m Final was probably the last chance that we could have seen another sub 9.6 from Bolt. His Start from out of the blocks was the best that year compared to any other seasons that we've ever seen Bolt. For someone who was 6'5, he was torching the competition right at the start of the gun when he usually was one of the slowest because of his tall figure. Was a real bummer that it became a false start. The race will forever remain as one of those "What If" moment. By the way, during his 100m/200m @ Jamaican Olympic trial in 2012, Bolt was apparently sick with a fever if I remember correctly so he was not at his best despite qualifying and running times that bested the competition (besides Yohan Blake)
@@macgyversmit4647 both events are all out races but that narrative is false. Look at Yohan Blake for example. He ran a 19.26 same year at Diamond League after WC. That’s the closest we’ve ever seen to match Bolt’s 19.19 yet he’s never gone close to cracking a sub 9.6 with his best a lucky 9.69. 200m requires speed and some endurance towards the runner while 100m requires a perfect combination to start, drive and turnover (and maybe lean) throughout the entire race to run a great time
@@biglilrichard we’ve never seen him get anywhere close to it again that’s why. Blake’s next best attempt was a 9.75 and since we’ve never seen him go sub 9.8. A time of 9.7 is already a different realm of speed which only Bolt was most consistent around for quite a bit while other top sprinters hung around “hoping” to even go below 9.85. Like I said, it requires a combination a perfect combination of start, drive, turnover as well as the fitness that they produced in themselves to be able to get lucky enough to hit those times while Bolt was a different breed despite losing 1 (or even 2) races in a year but was always untouchable when at his best whereas every other sprinter we literally never knew who was going to win until they crossed the finish line.
The quality and consistent content makes this without a doubt the top channel about the sport of distance running. And or course the world of athletes in general.
the 19.26 of blake was impresive, the faster 200m race without the reaction time. ( 18.99 vs 19.02 from bolt’s record) but i think that bolt could really better his best in the 200m. maybie even under 19 seconds.
I feel like Bolt runs as fast as he thinks he needs to win the current race. A little bit nutty considering he’s scoring world records and you’d think he’d want to do the best he could possibly do.
A combination of Genetics, upbringing, and it's popularity in Jamaica. It's like long distance runners from Africa, specifically Kenya and Ethiopia. They do seem to have to have a small genetic advantage, but the combination of long distance running being so popular there, paired with a large majority of children running long distances to and from school, makes a huge amount of them great athletes and the ones with the most potential stick out
@@jname9368 Total BS , Africa is another doping paradise, there is no testing in Africa, but even so the runners occasionally get caught outside of the country.

What is "fall started" exact? The one which the video expalins bolt went through it at 04:13. What happened to bolt after that "fall start" happened???
When Yohan Blake made 19.26 in 200m, Bolt's WR was vulnerable, because Blake showed potential to break it any day since then. But then, it didn't happen.
I wonder if any of us will live to see a faster runner than bolt? My only concern is? Will clothing, foot wear, track material, timing geat change incrementally over the years and make it easier or harder to attain.

Well that's just how life is. No matter how great u are, you're not always gonna win. That was also a learning process for Bolt
bolt gave blake that 200m race dude, he had nothing to loose...it was a nice gesture and the people enjoyed it
Thats ridiculous, why would bolt give up a world championship race?
@@Romans8-9 it was not a world championship just an olympic qualifier...all he had to do was finish in the top 3
@Xerius aahh...never knew that dude, thanks for the info
love usain and yohan 😍
A year later (frm this vdeo), we're at the Jamaica National Trials again.. & there is Yohan Blake running a seemingly effortless 9.93 in the first round 😚 just hoping he would stay uninjured & make it to the Worlds in July alongside the latest sensation, Oblique Seville 💪💪💪
Great video!!!
Bolt ran the 200m in 2011 all out registering 19.40, with that said a person can get an estimation from his 200 time that he was not in sub 9.6 shape!
@@macgyversmit4647 both events are all out races but that narrative is false. Look at Yohan Blake for example. He ran a 19.26 same year at Diamond League after WC. That’s the closest we’ve ever seen to match Bolt’s 19.19 yet he’s never gone close to cracking a sub 9.6 with his best a lucky 9.69. 200m requires speed and some endurance towards the runner while 100m requires a perfect combination to start, drive and turnover (and maybe lean) throughout the entire race to run a great time
@@Heat_ts7 how was it a lucky 9.69? he ran that into a headwind lol.
@@Heat_ts7 Gatlin was a consistent 9.7 runner
Just got back from track practice with awful shin splints. Thanks TRP for making it a bit better!
same here
The thing about Bolt that everyone seems to overlook is he made his competitors and rivals run and train faster.
Just let that sink in
He created ripple effect
For some reason I can’t stand seeing my fav track start USAIN BOLT lose a race but at the end of the day he is still the beast
form is temporary.........class is permanent.
Bolt was sandbagging to give his homie some recognition.
Very well done💯🇯🇲
The quality and consistent content makes this without a doubt the top channel about the sport of distance running. And or course the world of athletes in general.
the 19.26 of blake was impresive, the faster 200m race without the reaction time. ( 18.99 vs 19.02 from bolt’s record) but i think that bolt could really better his best in the 200m. maybie even under 19 seconds.
Yes, Bolt could make a little slower opening 100 m to conserve energy for the finish. You could notice he decelerated hard.
Nice Video!
Great video.
You really bring out the drama.
We all win some and lose some....its no disgrace.....
And once again the narrator is saying once again by which he truly means once again.
That team was ridiculous
I feel like Bolt runs as fast as he thinks he needs to win the current race. A little bit nutty considering he’s scoring world records and you’d think he’d want to do the best he could possibly do.
I was thinking "ahh when yohan beat him in the trials!"
Usain Bolt a was an athletic genius who won when it mattered most.
2:34 what a coincidence.
What could possibly explain all those times in teeny tiny Jamaica? lolol.
Genetics
Training conditions r nice in Jamaica year round
A combination of Genetics, upbringing, and it's popularity in Jamaica. It's like long distance runners from Africa, specifically Kenya and Ethiopia. They do seem to have to have a small genetic advantage, but the combination of long distance running being so popular there, paired with a large majority of children running long distances to and from school, makes a huge amount of them great athletes and the ones with the most potential stick out
@@jname9368 Total BS , Africa is another doping paradise, there is no testing in Africa, but even so the runners occasionally get caught outside of the country.
Juicing, doping . Call it what you will but yeah .... lots of athletes from Jamaica caught out... coaches... officials . World Athletics poster boy was never going to be busted. Athletics made 100s of millions so why would they kill their cash cow . Dirty deeds
Both at the top of their sport. Bolt ⚡ is the legend though.
You should do a video of bolt's semi final race in 2015 when he stumbled out of the blocks and had rush of adrenalin and still won the race to qualify for the finals
Magnificent.
What is "fall started" exact? The one which the video expalins bolt went through it at 04:13.
What happened to bolt after that "fall start" happened???
@Ruzo Owzy he got disqualified because of false start
@@RavinderSingh-ts3lc How wrongly did he do that exactly?
Johan Blake was nowhere to be found in this year’s Olympics
He got too many injuries.
Bolt to tho i don't see your point?
Does over streatched legs like gymanast full leg split decreases our legs turnover and legs speed. And decrease legs muscle power?
man i just threw out all my bolt merch cause i thought he was a loser, then i get to the end of the video, now im diggin it back outta the trash
uh huh
Bolts world record won't be beaten if they are I'll be shocked he was super human
When Yohan Blake made 19.26 in 200m, Bolt's WR was vulnerable, because Blake showed potential to break it any day since then. But then, it didn't happen.
@@lexsoft3969 if Blake was taller, and kept fast leg movements, he would probably beat Bolt.
King Bolt. The undisputed Greatest Sprinter of all time.
WE ALL KNOW BOLT ALWAYS SHOWS UP WHEN IT MATTERS THE MOST (OLYMPICS AND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS) !!!!
The race he wants us all to forget..and forget I shall !
many people forget how fast the winning times during bolt era compared to these days standards
anybody know where i can find the music that starts @ 7:00 ? i enjoy listening to it :)
1:45 say what you will, but Kevin Hart is world class
5:20 what’s the background music called?
What do you mean widely considered. He is universally the greatest
Do you people realize that Jamaicans are running against themselves truly amazing special people
I wonder if any of us will live to see a faster runner than bolt?
My only concern is?
Will clothing, foot wear, track material, timing geat change incrementally over the years and make it easier or harder to attain.
Drugs
freakn shut up
I think, we will. Probably sooner than most expect.
Imagine getting second because your world record is first
You know, for some reason I think many people are forgetting that Blake was the most formidable athlete when placed alongside Bolt. I am of the opinion that Justin Gatlin would come to their minds.
4:53 Freeze-framed the list of the 96 (presumably the whole list was 100) best times for the 200 m. The top 28 are by athletes from Jamaica or the USA. 17 of 96 are by athletes from other countries, which means that 79 out 96 were by Jamaicans or Americans. You could say they've been dominating this event.
Bolt, the measure of the man: he finished 2nd a couple of times and it's a big deal !
7 minutes longer than it should have been.
