Which is odd since they chose SM and never were blacklisted. Their 20th anniversary should've been bigger but it just came and went. The trajectory of their career has been odd and both Korea and Japan. How can they hold Dome tours in one country and be completely forgotten in another while doing the same thing in both? Bizarre from my perspective.

It's strange to think that this is their first Killing Voice but it's been so long since they released anything in Korea. I really loved their 20th anniversary album; there's only a couple of songs that aren't my thing but everything else is gold.
This is the first time I've heard them sing. I know Yunho and Changmin from variety shows only, though I knew they were 2nd generation idols. 😊

I discovered your TVXQ reaction by accident and I binged your whole playlist in one sitting and it was such a trip down memory lane T_T Thanks to you I have come back to listen to their songs after 10+ years. I took a break from following their activities because it was too much of a heartache to realize that we'd never get to see them sing these amazing songs as five. But the way you appreciate their music helped me to re-appreciate what all of them were able to pull off together. And now I can finally appreciate their solo and activities as 2+3 as well. And it doesn't hurt my heart as much listening to them now, thanks to you
It's so nice to see you back in Cassieland, Hurraira! Definitely missed the "hope you're doing well". And it's 100% true, nobody sings a ballad like TVXQ. I'm with you, I wish they did some of their Japanese songs-but that just means they need to be invited back as Tohoshinki to do their Japanese discography!!!

I truly don't understand why. Is it their age? The music? Something else? Why has the kpop scene moved on from both of them?
@@Firstname852 There's not single answer to this. I wouldn't say they are totally forgotten, just look at their album sales and concerts in Japan. I just think that SM has tendencies to create new and forget 'old', even tho old is still good, has big fandom and brings money. After 2018 album TVXQ went to military and then focused on solo careers more. In the meantime Max got married and he and his wife had a baby, so between 2018 and 2023 they only had japanese releases. So yeah, SM are not really promoting them outside of Korea and Japan and they're older now, it would be weird if SM NCT-ified them to make them trendy. Tvxq has always evolved with time and they tried quite a lot of genres but i don't see them changing just to top charts yn. Honestly I don't think tvxq will be getting new big waves of fans anymore, they'll just rely on their fandom + those who listen out of nostalgia.
@@majag5117 Thank you for your thoughtful response. I know SM does that but I was thinking of the fans themselves. Everyone heard of TVXQ or Mirotic so why not check their new releases? What is missing in their approach or performance that is not attractive to new fans? They still dance and sound the same so I just don't get it.

Maybe that's because of a lack of korean comebacks in last few years. tvxq also rose to the popularity before streaming era and big social media era. yet again, i think it's sm's fault of not utilizing those things more. On the other hand I don't know how much more Yunho and Max would be willing to participate now that they're older. I remember Max calling himself 'SM's work cow', and I know part of it is a joke, but they've worked and promoted so much in their careers already.

I just recently got into TVXQ after knowing Changmin through Kingdom and some of his solo work. They are amazing 😮😮😮 The 20&2 album is great and their anniversary concert was fabulous. Please please react to their Rebel and Down MVs and if you want to their full album. I got two photobook versions and they are fabulous❤

I dont know much about TVXQ, only that theyre one of the really good vocal boy groups during their time. 2nd gen, i guess? I'm so amazed with these two right now. Their vocals are vocalizing indeed! 🫶
Absolutely, not an idol group imo, they've always been a vocal group. Their skill set is totally different to popular artists. Absolutely breathtaking. 2nd Gen my fave tooo 😍

Begin was a Jp release so that's why they didn't do it in KV. And they performed Wrong Number in their most recent concert if you wanna check the fan cam videos ❤️
And the songs they sang in KV were all being performed again and again in their concerts, except for some like Tonight, Love In The Ice and Love Line. The others are like their regulars, lol. And they performed Mirotic EVERY YEAR and brought the song the smtown every year, it's the kpop anthem. 😂

Sorry this comment is so long. I just have a lot of recommendations and am happy you reacted to TVXQ again. I hope you will react to some of their variety shows and concerts in the future. Also Jaejoong will be releasing an album for his 20th anniversary sometime this year. I think around May or June it will be released. And I think Junsu will be releasing an album this year too for his 20th anniversary. It was also announced Junsu will be performing at the Weverse Con Festival again this year on June 15th. And Jaejoong will be performing at the Weverse Con Festival as well for the first time on June 16th.
