could you please explain the difference between residual fault and single point fault? from the video they both are fault that not covered by safety mechanism
single point faults - do not have any safety measures to cover them, whereas residual faults can not be covered by the safety mechanism itself. The safety mechanism has a diagnostic coverage that can not be always 100% thus the residual risk.
