Congrats on the massive upgrade incoming, also this jam was sweet, that little blade runner vibe at the end just about put a tear into my eye. I'm suffering from the same issues right now, don't have a dedicated setup, I run everything from my office where I do my day job, so every time I want to jam its min a 30min setup process. I have a few hours here and there during a busy week but the setup time stops me from jamming. I need to resolve this asap!
Thanks :) Steep learning curve ahead! Yeah, definitely having a dedicated room, and gears, helps a ton. Hope you find a solution so you can express your creativity in a seamless workflow, it's a frustrating situation.
Thanks!! The Syntrx won't go anywhere for sure, I love it :) I find it both inspirative as, and beautiful as object. I enjoy the thickness of its sound, and the experimentalism it offers, and the fact its modular without the wires!
Hi! Good luck with the remodeling! I'm asking for some advice, I've been a bass player since the early 90s but now I'm starting with synthesizers and I want to build a tiny setup that fits on my work desk. I started with a MiniLab midi controller, now I have the Microfreak and I'm waiting for a Drumbrute Impact drum machine. I'd like to ask you what you would add to a dawless micro setup. Thanks and congratulations on your music!
Hey! Thanks! The worst part is the rewiring of all gear... but work in progress :) Minilab + Microfreak + Drumbrute is already a nice tiny setup 👍Now it's a great question but also very hard to answer for there are so many criteria. For example it depends on the bugdet, the expected sound engine style, for what genre(s), ergonomy etc, stuff like that, and it's also very personal :) I watched your recently posted videos and looks like you're into ambient and downtempo. I would look for something under $1,000, desktop format. Now it could be another sound source, if you want to diversify, but you could also consider an effect pedal for even more ambient soundscape, like a reverb pedal. Or a bass-sound oriented little analog mono synth if you want to spare the Microfreak for digital pads or lead. Sorry I can't be more specific, there are so many options out there! Good luck 😊
And it grooves ❤
Yeah! the middle part is more Funk than Ambient 😅

Great jam man.
I'm following to see where you're going from here!
Thank you! And thanks so much for the support 😊
Changing the gear is normal. I hope the Syntrx will stay…. Nice jam, btw ✌️
