After seeing a few comments about selling all valuables I had to go and check it out. It turns out I didn't need to worry about accidentally selling the Mutation samples after all. Thanks to those who pointed this out 👍🏻
Hey, 80s grownup, there's a dark hallow that doesn't hold any volatiles at all only sleeping zombies, but it's full of the nasty yellow chemicals in the dark hallow, the dark hallow is north, by going upwards from the quest "the only way out" or slightly northeast while still being in the survivor faction zone/part of the map and yet this dark hallow holds 1 inhibitor thats why you were probably 1 off from all the easy inhibitors I'll make a video on my channel about it if you want to know precisely where the one inhibitor is despite it not being worth it
If anyone was wondering who was watching the video, i was a bit dumb while trying to figure out the riddle cause the riddle was slightly confusing, so for those who were as confused as i was the code for the first biomarker quest is 973
You keep your mutation samples and chests when you sell all valuables. Valuables are a type of item, in the "miscellaneous" section where mutation samples and chests are. So selling valuables only sells items that are label as a valuable.
Quick tip : If you want to avoid melee fights, max upgrade your throwing knives as soon as you can. They one shot every enemy in the game and two shot volatiles. They are super cheap to craft as well
Easy way to grind volatiles at the start is by camping the narrow bazaar entrance and lure them into the uv light. If done right the volatile will keep backing off into a concrete block, keeping him into the uv zone till death.
Recently jumped back into the grind of this game and I’ve been enjoying it so much. Currently at legend lvl 254 and feeling burnt out but still love it. I’ve been binging DL2 videos and just wanted to let you know you did a great job with this video. Keep it up dude I just subscribed 👍🏼
That rooftop parkour farm near the merchant is where I go. I'm glad you mentioned it in the video so i dont have to in the comments! 😂 it's also a great trophy and money farm. Just start a chase and kick enemies into the uv lights until volatiles come out. at that point you can go to the other side of the shop where another enemy spawn point is at. Wait for them to crawl out of the hatch and kick them into the uv lights until another volatile spawns. It's a bit tricky but if you kick a volatile right as it opens the hatch that will insta kill it. I nearly maxed out my throwing knives and my chemlights doing this. High level throwing knives are life savers for stealth missions since they can one shot enemies at this point in the game.
You've been my go-to content creator for anything Dying Light / Dying Light 2 related for a long, long time now brother. Thanks for all of the videos you put out, really interesting coverage and a great narrative voice to go with it. DL1 is one of my favourite games of all time - what do you think the chances are that we'll get a DL1 remake at some point. Nothing messing with the formula, mainly just a more current-gen visual upgrade to look a bit more in line with today's gaming tec. I don't normally go in for remakes, but DL1 is really special and it's the only one i've thought, huh, I wonder what that could be like with modern dev tech powering it.
Thank you. I can't see Techland having the resources to remake DL1 any time soon tbh. In many ways it still looks and plays great though for its age and has superior mechanics and physics to DL2. Maybe we'll see something like that in a few years, but I'm pretty certain they won't entertain the idea just now.
I do appreciate the tips on leveling up the different trees. I'm not trying to become OP before starting the game, but I find it very difficult to gain XP for the parkour tree so this helps a lot.
Thank you so much for grinding through this to produce the video. I have just completed DL1 and I wasn't sure if i wanted to start DL2. ( I'm not very good at these games) But now after seeing your video, i'm ready for the challenge 👍
For parkour points I like to find a nice loop of buildings about that pass by a safe zone and you just loop around and around at night and get massive xp dumps and it’s not a boring repetitive method
Update, i found a better place by accident for farming combat xp, its in quarry end before the guards main base where are spikes (Main entry) theres uv light where u can hide to heal and take inhalator for defense and its a big open space, easy to loor and kick into spikes, sprinters just go into spikes after 1 hit or die when im pushing volatiles, but i think that the newest patch lowered the time u can stend in uv light as sometimes when i backoff into light a little bit just to heal and use inhalator the chase ends in about 2 seconds
So the best way is to speedrun to carnage hall, get glitches weapon with mario boots, then grind the GRE anomaly, and if your lucky when you go back into the mission you keep the xp you get when you kill the zombies in the quest. It helps with combat as well, so that leaves agility, screw agility, it is NOT fun far jumping and tapping crouch with every jump for the mere 5 to 10 xp, far jump is like 10 to 20, you have to far jump off 2 different objets but vents if far enough for a far jump distance on top of any tower with the antennas in ther first and second area, for example the hospital where you get a bio marker, get to the top which I've done with about 150 - 170 or so inhibiter level for agility. I wanna make sure you understand what I mean with the far jump. Far jumping gives about 20 xp on a fresh object. Yes, dl2 has a hidden style meter( I just realized it, lol) there for far jumping and tapping crouch for the extra xp landing an object so you can fall, crouch during the fall, you'll get another 5 xp which adds up to ten. repeat untill you get slide jump skill, then slide + jump + crouch + press and hold crouch when close to ground, and you'll be able to slide instantly, leading to with practice moving around the fastest you can on foot, but also raking in xp at a far higher rate than normal. Seriously, y'know that monument mission where Aiden talks to some guy about the history, and there's like talk of guns? Well, in that place, it's literally a cheat for night, like having infinite UV flayers. Just spam that move going in a circle around the restaurant to the right, looking at the monument. Easy chase 4, volatiles can't touch you, and if they do, you're like 3 slide jumps away from safty like 7 at most. Bro, why do I know all this 💀 I ain't even the guy who made the video. 1. get slide jump, via a lot suffering. 2. max out agility at the monument near a restaurant at the chemical border, and I think somewhere to the left of the monument, there's a military checkpoint. 3. story mission till you unlock the Center. 4. complete carnage hall quests until you unlock tournaments. 5. complete one day in harran. 6. get mario boots to the right of the centers map border to the left of a bandit camp. To the right is a water tower nearby for better guidance. 7. Enter the one day in harran challange, once use your binoculars to set a waypoint inside. 8. In carnage hall starting from your room for reference. looking at the exit of your room, take a forward, then a right all the way to the corner closest to you. There should be a chair. 9. jump 3 times holding forward, the third is the flip jump for the mario boots, while air born turn left about 90 degrees, you'll fall through the map. 10. when falling open, paraglider and go left to try avoid the parking directly infront of you when you fall out of bounds initially. 11. goto marker, reap your rewards.( go back into one day in harran challenge to reset the items ) 12. bully tf out of a GRE anomaly. There's one with 2 goons and ofc the xp from killing the anomaly and completing the challenge. You level up real fast. You can move immediately after being teleported into the challenge to make it a lil faster.
@rodarollada It's a really big pill to swallow. Usually, I'm too lazy to write a script, but I typed that all out at about 4 a.m., or my meds took control. I'm leaning towards the ladder, but that doesn't matter. The point is that I should put it into video form. And I've an idea of a good few styles I wanna copy for a video sometime, so maybe. It's tough coming up with content to record because I'm not exactly entertaining by myself and with friends I just get ignored or it's an obsession over my voice like they haven't heard of corpse and his copycats to flawk too. Though I've not tried scripting a video, maybe that's my cup of tea. Anyhow, thanks for reminding me about this.
For upgrading my parkour skill(if you aren’t trying to follow this challenge) I go to the bottom of the fish eye and start a level 4 chase and run and far jump off the cars and fence with the same tactic for “Maxing the Parkour” skill” the parkour grind is real but a level 4 chase and some well placed UV bars let you never lose immunity and constantly has Volatiles running in circles around the purple light never able to keep up. You can always go up the ramp to apply boosters or take a break because there are random UV lights forcing the the Zeds to come in 2 to 3 directions only.
You wanna know the funny part about you smacking the zombies around? You could be stealth unaliving them and you get more combat experience than you do smacking them around. I had tested this in my own game a whole back. I managed to get a full combat level and a quarter clearing the building the way I was doing it.
If I remember right, it was 50 combat for the regulars and 75 for the virals. Could be wrong on that second one. But I am 100% sure about the first one. This was at night, mind you.
Could you do a review video on the next update speaking of which when is the next update for Dying light 2 isn't it supposed to be this April or is it next month?
I think, from now on, I am going to push this challenge further by maxing out my character. I have a rough total of 400hrs on Dying Light 2, and it woulda been somewhere between 500 and 600hrs if I didn't have a full team helping me kill bosses (I jam Nightmare mode)
I got to rank 4 in old villedor without even making it halfway past the story because I just mess around and sometimes play story missions. I haven't even made it to the second part of the map yet XD.
Best way to level up in dying light 2 is by using the paraglider at night. So, you need to speedrun the main quests untill you unlock all nightrunner tools then you can relax and do as you please.
The game gave me a PK crossbow and bolt variations when I joined another player(from a random glitch). Later on I rolled back my story knowing that I would lose it, but instead it just reset me to directly before I got it. This makes me think that we shouldn’t even lose anything.
I just got my friend to give me "ali's scarecrow" and "rude stick" which does loads of damage. He also gave me something called "tainted godkiller" since he had 2 and it one shots anything
22:00 this question is for the returning players who had saved a but ton of trophies and mutation samples from old busted farming methods like the volatile farming method at the peacekeeper main base that gave busted amounnts of mutation samples and large trophies.. Do you ave enough mutation samples to imidiatly get to the max legend level by sacrificing all of them or just a specific type of trophy.
i just leveled up throwing stars from the get go. they start one shotting humans and same level zombies very early on the uograde oath and you can kill a level 2-3 volatile with a handful of them. i also leveled up my weaoon blueprints with the volatile troohys i was getting
In the mansion in the prologue with spike. If you get to the roof and ledge jump and run back and forth you can level your agility quite a bit. Theoretically you could max it out there but i only got up to rank 2 character from just doing this and it took hours so...yeah
I bought the deluxe edition of this game and hated how different it was from DL that I've never finished. Seeing how you said on your first playthrough you didn't level much and used low-end gear to beat it I'm glad I quit when I did.
I recently got this game during the steam discount and decided to try beating my first run on Nightmare. I am so used to playing with almost no HUD and survivor sense now, that I am worried when I play it on normal after beating it, it would feel too weird.
I’ve followed this in some steps but went a different direction when it came to agility exp Instead i stayed outside of the bazaar where the uv lights are, started a chase and begun using slide and slide jump with afterboost And that got me around 12,000 to 15,000 night bonus exp
I'm sure the mutation samples are in the valuables portion because when you go for legend levels it gives you points (if you trade them in like that) But it still confuses me why not as crafting material or maybe miscellaneous supplies or smth
I did that with Survivor levels and the Driver levels when I started the first game and the following respectively. More than 50hr in still I can't bring myself to farm Stuffed Turtle to max out my legend level.
Okay so basically, this guide is for people who have already beaten the game before / have DLC weapons? Cuz I just started first playthrough and I certainly don’t have any DLC weapons in my stash.
21:25 Volatile face first into the floor 🤣 This game sometimes angers me when it comes to clipping/bugging animations that get you dead, but for the most part, you laugh a lot with his ragdoll system😅😂🤣
Bit of a while ago but im aying this again now, and ive been using the upgraded throwing knives against volatiles. Farming in the same place at night as you (on easy), but instead of the metro entrance i was just outside the doors to the bazaar 2 throwing knives and theyre down.
I recently got the game and haven't even made it to the city center and at the water tower decision and already about to be gear 6 and almost finished with combat skill tree 🤣 idk I wasnt supposed to get that high before then
is it just for the video to make it more clear or why you have night time so bright? I only have 20h in the game so far but scared to go grind in night because chase is so intense when its dark and I hate losing all earned xp xD but thanks for those locations, will help a lot. thank you
Havnt played the game since release, are any of the updates worth going back to play? My save file got wiped annoyingly so id have to start from scratch, but I didnt even know they added guns 😂
have they nerfed the amount of health and stamina you get per level because i am at the exact same level of health and stamina as you and you have more health and stamina than me, so i don't if i'm missing something or not
in bazaar there is have better places to night chase hunts metro enterence kinda bad place for you especially for dodging volatile spits and keep chasing fresh. like you can go to other enterence of the bazaar and turn left that way they can only come from one place and easy to dodge their attacks. also dont put flame or ice into your blade if you want to one shot volatiles just put pure damage
17:15 couldn’t u keep the pilgrim chest and the other important stuff in ur stash and then sell all to the vendor. Idk but I think this would speed up the process
I realised after making the video that selling all valuables doesn't actually sell the mutation samples or chests. I just didn't want to test that theory until I'd used them to level up at the end
It's like doing all the side quests or side missions in different games, by the time I've done all that the main story is to easy or I'm just burnt out and cant be arsed. So many games I've bought over the years and never completed, it just seems like a waste of money not to play the main story.
@@80skidgrownup00 I'm running out of ideas for games to play, I bought cod ww2 last week and completed it within 4 days. Dying Light 1 was the game that upgraded me from PS3 to ps4, I've thought about replaying it but don't want to ruin the nostalgia but don't we get the dlcs for free?

I’m confused. I purchased the ultimate edition and have both dlcs but I can’t find the the weapons anywhere. I’ve got two, an axe and machete, I don’t have any gear (I was given outfits that don’t do anything but change my appearance). I also can’t claim the Golden Years Bundle even though I literally purchase the ultimate edition THIS MORNING!!!!

I can confirm that this statement is true as I always sell all valuables and have like 100k mutation samples and I never loose them
What about ammo?
@@geekinoffamolly8230 ammo remains, as ammo is not valuable as in loot, but it is a gear item, like weapons and mutation samples

Seeing how you said on your first playthrough you didn't level much and used low-end gear to beat it I'm glad I quit when I did.
i was always too impatient to wait for the night so i just got in during the day and bonked everything
You don't have to wait for night, you just head to a rest area and sleep. You can basically jump from night to day and back again whenever you like
I’m level 250. I don’t think I will get any higher. It takes too long to level up and I don’t care anymore lol. I just want to destroy everything.
How long did it take you to get to that level?
How do you get the stay human gear? 😅
I watched your dl1 "can you"
Now ill watch your dl2 "can you"
At the beginning next to the water is the water flowing in the shape of a sword
I recently got this game during the steam discount and decided to try beating my first run on Nightmare.
I am so used to playing with almost no HUD and survivor sense now, that I am worried when I play it on normal after beating it, it would feel too weird.
I’ve followed this in some steps but went a different direction when it came to agility exp
Instead i stayed outside of the bazaar where the uv lights are, started a chase and begun using slide and slide jump with afterboost
And that got me around 12,000 to 15,000 night bonus exp
This only took me around 22 hours of in game time
I'm sure the mutation samples are in the valuables portion because when you go for legend levels it gives you points (if you trade them in like that)
But it still confuses me why not as crafting material or maybe miscellaneous supplies or smth
I did that with Survivor levels and the Driver levels when I started the first game and the following respectively. More than 50hr in still I can't bring myself to farm Stuffed Turtle to max out my legend level.
I did it! I did your challenge and now on legend lvl 43 it’s so hard lol
Okay so basically, this guide is for people who have already beaten the game before / have DLC weapons? Cuz I just started first playthrough and I certainly don’t have any DLC weapons in my stash.
Worth it to me, be op at the start and just continue to absolutely obliterate everything til the end and just roam😂
I always quicksell and neither the samples nor the pilgrim chest were ever sold.
What outfit where you wearing when your arms where so glowing?
I have close to 150k hours in this game but never saw that wearable before ☹️
It's from the Retrowave Redux bundle. It launched in the store during the Firearms update
you have close to 17 years in this game?
@@joe8469 bro been playing since the development of the game on ps3
21:25 Volatile face first into the floor 🤣
This game sometimes angers me when it comes to clipping/bugging animations that get you dead, but for the most part, you laugh a lot with his ragdoll system😅😂🤣
Watch the Volatile that launches head first into the yellow net fence at 20:21
@@80skidgrownup00 LOL! couldn't notice that the first time! 🤣 🤦🏻♂️🤣
I have over 200 hours on my dl2 and yeah I got hooked again after all the new updates 😅
Bit of a while ago but im aying this again now, and ive been using the upgraded throwing knives against volatiles. Farming in the same place at night as you (on easy), but instead of the metro entrance i was just outside the doors to the bazaar 2 throwing knives and theyre down.
Great video
The combat points thing got patched, its hard to do it, chase ends if u are 2far in the uv light or if u stay in one place for 2long
Well thats freakin awsome god know how many samples or chest ive sold
I recently got the game and haven't even made it to the city center and at the water tower decision and already about to be gear 6 and almost finished with combat skill tree 🤣 idk I wasnt supposed to get that high before then
is it just for the video to make it more clear or why you have night time so bright? I only have 20h in the game so far but scared to go grind in night because chase is so intense when its dark and I hate losing all earned xp xD but thanks for those locations, will help a lot. thank you
That's just the way it looks without any of the filters, maybe you have your phone screen bright and that makes it seem brighter in the video?
U can sell every item it the shop by holding the triangle
i had to restart my game cuz I lost all my stuff and Medkit blue print but by the end I finished I had a lot of good stuff already
Havnt played the game since release, are any of the updates worth going back to play? My save file got wiped annoyingly so id have to start from scratch, but I didnt even know they added guns 😂
Im actually doing your challenge right now and im currently on lvl 17 on both skill tree it’s so hard…
have they nerfed the amount of health and stamina you get per level because i am at the exact same level of health and stamina as you and you have more health and stamina than me, so i don't if i'm missing something or not
You probably had a lower rank
How was the rest of the playthrough with the legends on
Flares work to. Wish it was easier to lvl like first game
in bazaar there is have better places to night chase hunts metro enterence kinda bad place for you especially for dodging volatile spits and keep chasing fresh. like you can go to other enterence of the bazaar and turn left that way they can only come from one place and easy to dodge their attacks. also dont put flame or ice into your blade if you want to one shot volatiles just put pure damage
I have a Tainted Godkiller that says it does 10 dmg but for some reason one taps everything unless it has a boss bar
I have offered it to people but they just say it ruins the game mechanics and makes the game unfun....they're not entirely wrong
i noticed you didn't have my favorite weapon... raging dragon 2 handed sword, i think it was from the lunar new year event
You do get more exp from hard mode though, it even shows up in the menu
You only get more XP for Legend levels not regular XP for combat and parkour skills. And I did try it just to be sure
Does legendary weapons scale with rank?? I dont see an increase in dmg in my game atm?
I was able to get to level 8 in my first playthrough of the game
It's like doing all the side quests or side missions in different games, by the time I've done all that the main story is to easy or I'm just burnt out and cant be arsed. So many games I've bought over the years and never completed, it just seems like a waste of money not to play the main story.
Believe me the main story in this game feels like a waste of money, you'll get more hours of fun doing this lol
Is there anymore inhibitors in DL2? I maxed out all my Stiamna , got all the GRE towers and yes the one in the Renegade part too
not sure if you know, but 30 new inhibitors are only accessible in NG+, which lets you max out HP and Stamina both
@@GenericMimeToadter thats the funny part tho, now that its been 3 months im on like NG+ 30+ js speend running these missions and atill cant find shit dude
I did this as soon as I started ❤❤❤❤
try it on nightmare mode
very very very good vid....soo much information gained from this
selling all the loot option wont sell the mutation sample
I did this by just upgrading my throwing knife blue print to max
Mutation samples are no longer under valuebles as of atleast September 2024
My leveling is completely unbalanced. I hit max level 25 combat and still have 12 more to go for parkour... Even though I literally parkour everywhere I go but it's taking forever. Even with 6 pieces of 9%+ parkour gear...
Can you tell me each location have many inhibitor pls even after get to the center ❤
I bought the Reloaded version but am not seeing any DLC weapons in my olayer stash
Have you checked the stash?
where did you get that nocturnal paper cutter?
I got it from the Pilgrims outpost on the techlandgg site. You buy a nightfall drop with pilgrim points and you get a random nocturnal weapon.
So wait I leveled up my parkour last night and I went to unlock a skill and it didn't work. So why is that the case?
@@justinmoore9883 it's a bug. Level up again and it'll correct itself
Thanks you so much
