- In this video we show how to find and cook mud mussels the NT Traditional way. Taking you all on the expedition we explain how and where the best place to find them are and also the easiest way to cook them.
We also threw in a cheeky spin on a few and tried Mussels Killpatick! (Defiantly worth a Try!)

Got me keen ta try for some myself... In qld and have seen the dead/empty shells before but never benn to serious about it... Bit shit over here we can't use a crab hook or keep female/jenny crabs.. Rules are Rules tho
Yah I do love using a crab hook, I have grabbed plenty of crabs out of holes bear handed over the years and also been bitten plenty of times too 😂
So where is this secrete place?
So your telling me... they sit under the mud aswell!! I thought they were only ontop😭 I've probs missed out on so many😭😂
Yah majority are under the mud u can feel there shells on the bottom of ur feet, 🤣 there so bloody tasty but 🤤
O no that poor reel
😂🤣
How's the taste of these mud-mussels?
They pretty much taste like a cooked oyster, beautiful
You're not showing enough material on cooking and eating them that's the reason you catch them right we want to see more of you cooking and eating them in detail because that's the reason you catch them right 👍
You are right and we promise we will start doing more catch and cooks in full details, thank you for your support we appreciate all your comments and feedback. Cheers 🍻
How far north do you get them?
We live on the very tip of the NT, but they are found around a lot of places. Just really depends where you want to look for them. I’d say as long as there is a mangrove system you should find them
Ymmmmm
