That's the sort of thing you can do when the aircraft is almost Empty! Yank it off the ground and point the nose up watch the airspeed bleed off and shove it back down. Every beginning Private Pilot has done Short Field takeoffs while learning. Same thing but bigger plane.

Miss Farnborough so much! Haven't lived near there for over 30 years. My grandfather built Cody's wheels for his biplane that made Farnborough "The Home of British aviation".
These aircraft are "unloaded", no passengers & most likely do not have "full" tanks. Relieved of this weight, commercial airliners have a very good power to weight ratio & perform very well. Consider, with a full fuel load & a full passenger load, these aircraft are considered "over-weight" for landing....& must relieve themselves of this weight by draining fuel-tanks by prolonged flying, or jettisoning fuel overboard...in dire circumstances if the craft MUST land.

I don’t like how the Airbus 220 doesn’t go by CSeries. Now people won’t know that Bombardier was the one who developed such a beautiful and futuristic aircraft. But I guess Airbus saved the program by doing that. Amazing video Sam! Love your videos, keep up the good work !

Killian's Aviation I live in the town right next to farnborough so my friends and I cycled up to this nature reserve about a mile from the run way. Theres a huge hill there and the planes fly just meters above your head. I fell over when the F-16 came over at about 2000km/h 😂
Qatar's Gulfstream G500 has a fly-by-wire sidestick.... when an input is made with one stick, THE OTHER STICK mirrors the movement because they are both linked....thus enabling both pilots to monitor each other; it's a pity this feature was not incorporated into the A330 at the time of the AF447 tragedy.
