With so much death and tragedy in the news its really hearwarming to see a settled family life. You are clearly doing a great job of parenting: Will is very lucky!
What a fantastic video.. We have 4 children, and watching this brings back so many good memories.. Enjoy your son and the time you have together,it's sooooo precious..And don't worry about time...Time is all you have. 💯👍💯👍
Beautiful baby William ! ,Jo I love the way you express the fact you're lucky to have the life you live with William and Vic I've seen plenty off vlogs but you are incredibly honest and thoughtful of other people's feelings ❤
So Jo you've become and excellent Dragonfly pilot and I predict William will really be a good Baker and cook in general.I love watching him change a little with every vlog.I hope the changes Vic is making to Holly make it better for you both in the coming season. Cheers from Canada
You three are a breath of fresh air, and pure joy and happiness at a time where the world really needs something innocent and beautiful. Stay groovy and stay safe you three.
I really enjoy and look forward to your vlogs. They are always well made, full of life and inspiring. William is growing into an irresistible little lad.
Hi Joanna I love this episode . William is such a sweet happy boy and is so lucky to have you and Vic. My son is 30 and was born in November and you brought so many good memories back to me! William is showing his beautiful personality more now with his cute smiles! Yes you are truly blessed to be able to have a life where you are able to spend a lot of time with your boys. I love your energy and how you have William in the pouch making bread and party time watching dancing vegetables! I give you both so much credit for all the hard work you have done to be able to live your lives on the boats. Your cakes look scrumptious and the coffee machine from Italy looks spectacular. Holly is a very cute cafe boat. You both make a joyful team working together on it! I bartended for 20 years and enjoyed serving people too. Thank you for sharing your life story. I look forward to each new video and seeing William grow. I can see how he has both of his parents fun loving sweetness! Looking forward to your next adventures...
"Living on Baby time" is what I heard it called. It reminds me of being in the military, you learn to eat, sleep, shower and even pee when you can, not on a set time line. Loved watching you both before William, now your life has risen just like your bread. Great Mum.
William is absolutely adorable with his little sweater on. Growing so fast. Won't be long he'll be rolling all over the place and boy you won't be able to take an eye off him. Gates around the fire, putting everything way up high. Wow. Lots to look forward to. Take care everybody and keep healthy and safe. Spring not far away with nice warm sunshine.
When I had babies (twins) and they were about Williams age, I discovered that by tying a helium balloon with a silly face, onto one of their feet, it kept them amused for ages. They watched it bob up and down with no idea how it happened.
Jo being a momma really suits you, soak up every second of William as they just grow way too fast. Don’t ever feel like you’re not being productive… trust me you are! You are giving William the very best start in his life 😆🤗
Enjoyed your description Jo, of surrendering to the priority that is William! Love seeing you three. In an early vlog Vic is mesmerized by the water patterns on the walls too... like father like son 👶💕
As seasoned mothers we can say your life will totally change but there’s no way to actually describe, in a believable way, what that will be like. Enjoy these days , soon he’ll be crawling everywhere and life will change again. 🥰🙋🏼♀️
Ahhh William has a wonderful smile. Enjoy these days and count your blessings that you can spend as much of your time watching him and taking care of other things. I think raising William and owning a business will be challenging at times, but not as much if you still worked for someone else. You make your own schedules, and can include William on Holly to help bring in the customers. Cheers to you all.
Joa, Vic, What a lovely Vlog this week. it was nice to spend most of the day seeing what William gets up to. I have got used to your video endings, it takes a lot of talent to end them the way you do. Honest they are really good. Have a great week. Take care.
Williams day is eat, sleep, repeat, but not necessary in that order. I liked the way you were trying to do jobs quietly, hoping that he wouldn’t wake up before you’re ready. Seriously though, you appear to adapted to parenting very naturally and more importantly, enjoying the experience.
The rewards of your attention to William will come in the future. You are being productive being a mum. He is a very lucky and blessed young boy that will grow up having been loved and nurtured by two wonderful people. Live each day as it comes to you. Cheers!
Such lovely escapism peeking into your lives. Makes me feel like I imagine William does after a kip and a fresh nappy - recharged and cleansed of lifes crud. Thankings for doing these videos, have a good week.
Hello, thank you for your lovely insight of a day on narrow boat. You hit nail on the head, you simply do just have to let it go snd just spend time with your son. It's going with the flow quite literally. I'd completely forgotten everything when I raised my daughter yet with 2 x grandchildren for the day, I simply surrender to them. I cannot worry that i got this, i got that to do with my small business of gardening & design. And it's so true, you do enjoy the time more. Well done coz it ain't easy. You doing grand. Namaste 🙏🌾🌴🌷❤
Lovely day spent together for you both Jo and William seems to love his walks, well done, chores can wait till another day, Vic seems to be cracking on with his activities on Holly
I was told when I had my first, to get her used to noise". We ran the washing machine, watched tewlly and entertained around her when she slept. My daughter willwould sleep through a bomb going off beside her bed! Don't tip toe around the child just live your life, keep a routine though!
Brings back lots of memories. I was most often the stay at home Dad. Still am . Zella is nearly 4 now so things are different but still mostly the day revolves in what she is needing .
Just loved this vlog thank you letting us spend the day with you. You do absolutely right enjoy your time with will week done to you both such happy time
I am really enjoying watching little William growing and your daily life as parents. You are amazing parents to little William and I can’t wait to see how you juggle parenthood with cafe life. Take care guys. X❤️
It is fun to watch a young couple with a baby…you guys are fun to be with. I connect to you because, I too, run a Cafe’ but on land at our church on Sunday mornings! I love your Cafe boat, and the window frames are beautiful. Look forward to whatever else you do. William is a beautiful little guy.
Daily plans with a 4-month-old...unheard of. You are doing the right and the best thing for yourself and William. Everything smooths out as babies get older; right now, mommy & daddy are the centers of his world. Thank you for sharing with us. Have a night full of deep sleep, xoxo's Sandie
Such a beautiful and uplifting video! I know it wasn't as easy as it looked, but what can I say? You are videographers. :) I've been to the U. K. since I last posted and this is my first chance since mid-February to view the progress of your lives onboard the narrowboat. I'll try to catch up tomorrow!
It might be nice if you put together this clip about William enjoying the water/light reflections, with that other footage of Vic in bed talking about enjoying the exact same thing 🙂Victor also caught some nice footage of the light reflection of the porthole/s on the ceiling. I don’t know, I just thought that it might make a cute little Father and Son video. Both mesmerised by the water reflections, the sun casting wonderful silhouettes inside the boat 🙂
I know far more about our US trains than UK trains but y'all's trains have been an interest since the mid 1970s. "Freightliner" locomotive there at the level crossing is a Class 70, more info than that would have to be looked up. The wagons are a type for hauling cement, I'm pretty sure, think for dry cement. And the shallow v shape allows better discharge flow from an outlet at bottom center.
I love your vlogs! And so must everyone else, as your view numbers are right up there with your subscription number, a definite sign that you publish QUALITY vlogs that are so enjoyable to watch! Just curious though, have you been able to connect with other new parents who live full time on narrowboats? There must be quite a few unique to your situation things that you could talk about….(I’m a land-lubber non parent….) happy Thursday!
This vlog is one of the best I have ever seen anywhere, you took us gently into your world, shared your realisation of the implications of motherhood, this should be a young mothers primer "Being a Mum 101". Mother nature (bless her) is sneaky! She awakens new Mums as to where the 'locus of control' really is. You shared the relief when you stopped pushing your agenda and became resigned to the your baby's reality, and can now go ahead with life. Wonderful
I stumbled across your channel and started watching and I couldn't believe it. You were in Trent lock, my stomping ground from a child. Where your private moorings are, the golf course use to be an old tip. There use to be an old cherry tree that use to hang over the canal. Well my mates and myself use to climb it to pick the cherries. And we use to climb across the train bridge over the canal. Wish I could pay your holly a visit for a lovely piece of cake. Next time I'm back from France I'll walk down for a coffee and cake..if you're still there. Wish you all the success 👌🙂
It’s a great way of life Jo! As you say most people can’t do what your doing. But not being a member of the rat race is a relaxing way of life, and if you both can continue with it in what ever shape or form! Carry on. I’m self employed and nearly 64yrs of age, I work when I want too! Unfortunately it hasn’t always been that way, and I was so glad when he’ll to go to heaven.
Really wonderful episode, we did enjoy it so much. It is interesting how much pressure we can be under to "never give up", but it is lovely to see how you have been able to turn some of those expectations upside down and "give up" in such a positive and rewarding way. Thank you for bringing us so much joy through your vlog, and William's smile is brilliant!
While y'all were getting ready to head out to Post Office, William's sounds woke up my snoring 14 year old cat :) Oh! Meeting trains there at 7:09 was a great scene! :D
William is growing so cute I can't wait till you start up your Cafe boat you're doing great I miss being on an narrowboat so much with a covid virus stopping for going this year it's the first year and 6 years
Beautiful as always. Every day when I get home from my job I sit down and work on my own business till it's time to go to bed and while doing that I play videos from all the small business owners I can find on TH-cam. I have to say I really enjoy when y'alls videos come out and they are always the first one I watch on that day.
I hope this is not a rude question and completely understand if you think it’s none of my business, but I often wonder how make a living, I know you tube doesn’t bring in much and the coffee shop and your merch, must bring in a bit but are you both still doing some freelance work. I really like your attitude towards parenting it’s so lovely to see how attentive you both are with William. Lots of love xx
I loved the video , youns are so awesome. William is getting to speak his mind. I love it. I thought the last bit was funny with your man's nose in camera. Love it all.look forward to next week.
Thanks for bringing us along for your day! I would have loved to be a “stay at home mom”. As an Elementary School teacher, at six months old, I handed off my babies to a daycare and basically saw them for 3 hours a day until the weekend! It was awful and just seemed wrong. I’m not sure how this has become the norm in Canada, US and Europe… Needing two salaries to survive is no fun.
I do so enjoy watching your lives with William, it does strike me that as I reach the later stages of my life how much we end up how we started, sleep, eat play eat, sleep, life is good.

So well said, these vlogs got me through Covid shutdown and enriched my daily life. Love being a supporter of them. Just pre-ordered her cookbook.
William will never be this old again. Each day is a blessing 🤠. Enjoy your time ❣️

Lovely Mummy, so nice to just be with William. This time is precious, they grow so quickly. Love your vlogs. 🚤👶💖
Thank you makes me remember my little baby boy 44 years ago it's a special time if you can just be there for it. Well done. Lots of love 🥰

They are completely safe.
Thanks for the baby time! I admire your attitude about this stage of motherhood.
Four months already is so hard to believe. William is so bright and engaged. Lovely vlog.
It's gone so fast hasn't it! Thanks for watching Dorothy 😊
Great to see you and William developing your rhythm together, agree surrendering yourself is freeing. Also, singing and dancing so good for you both
When I had babies (twins) and they were about Williams age, I discovered that by tying a helium balloon with a silly face, onto one of their feet, it kept them amused for ages. They watched it bob up and down with no idea how it happened.
That's so brilliant!
Balloon 🎈 what good idea!
William looks so much like his daddy! And he is having a luxurious upbringing with two wonderful parents.
