Thanks RS.on same day 9 January .upsc has asked question on role of India diaspora.once again thanks to RS team which bring " valuable" discussion on important topics
GS(2)-Culture do not build in a day but it takes centuries to establish and has immense impact on economic, political and social aspects. In this context, countries who have culturaly linked Indian diaspora can contribute Better to Atmanirbahar Bharat than others. Critically analyse.

I request RSTV the big picture show to record all the data that we get from discussion and make a pdf which can be downloaded from link in comment section
indian diaspora has been playing significant key role in gdp of india and strengthen the voice of india on the global platform, while having difficult time during covid and post covid, somewhere remittance had slightly losses but after that we has regain our previous position in having one of the largest diaspora in the world. we are getting remittance in huge amount from us, uk, Canada etc. india diaspora helping india in term of remittance as well as in geo political order for instance we have minister from indian origin in us, uk, Canada like countries. india getting remittance but somewhere lack of foreign investment in our country, need. reform to curb the huddle which we are facing, establish new connections with diaspora so they feel that we are not alone in foreign country. like we had Swedish operation to evacuate Indians from foreign country during covid time. now indians has strengthen country position as stronger which might be never before. we are talking about indian diaspora, who send remittance but somewhere we are losing our highly skilled person from our country which is something we need to think over this issue of migration also. if these diaspora work in india, i think we achieve our 5 trillion economy before the set target and they turn india as self reliant (atmanirbhar Bharat).
covid has taught us : 1. to work for health, habitat and hunger 2. to work towards atma nirbharta in certain critical areas. with the assistance of indian diaspora, we have become a knowledge economy and a IT superpower in a way, so when we are moving in an era of AI era the role of Indian diaspora becomes even more important. Indian diaspora comprise 1.9% of the UK population and contribute 6% to the G.D.P. of U.K. Indians are the 2nd largest investors in UK. Atma nirbharta does not mean being isolationist in approach but greater and robust integration of India with the world, and being a part of the global supply chains. Indians used to bridges between silicon valley and bengaluru but now indians are business and corporate leaders as well as major players in financial sector so will now act as bridges in the greenfield and brownfield investment. Indians are among the wealthiest minorities in the western countries such as UK and US, and are among the largest remitters of foreign exchange for India. Indian diaspora has been a major contributor to technology and capital in Indians. Indians are integrated to the healthcare responses against COVID all over the world. Indian diaspora have a voice and they are on very key positions - they are ministers in Canada, UK and USA. We must listen to them and have significant control and communication with them. Areas of improvement are clearly improvement in communication because the Indian diaspora are willing to invest in India AND 90 % said they are not aware of the various schemes by the govt. of India. Indians bring about cost effectiveness, creativity, productivity and quality and that's why they are CEOs of many Fortune 500 companies In Africa 40% of the GDP is held by Indians residing there, Ethopia's only billionaire is person of Indian origin and the richest person of Madagascar is an Indian
Fact Indians are just hardworking, but we must move more towards a spiritual simple lifestyle and not a towards a materialistic lifestyle because our Natural Resources is not infinite
The discussion is more a celebratory reference to the success of Indian diaspora, and all panelists themselves drift off while talking how concretely can diaspora give back. Competitiveness is required for success is a universal truth, diaspora or no diaspora. India's major investment centers are Singapore, Mauritius, Usa Netherlands and Japan - and clearly none except USA have a dominant diaspora presence. Hence it's clear that the world offers better opportunities and we need to do substantially better in EoDB and investment facilitation. Personally I've got little hopes from diaspora.
