with apoth the full heal was definitely the optimal solution, but we don't watch frost for optimal game play
@@jaypcorieri Which sort of defeats the point of even doing a run on TH-cam. If I want "less than stellar" play; I'll look in a mirror. If I'm going to commit time to YT, I want return on my investment.

I love how Frost went from having only one new relic an entire run to the game giving him one new relic that gives him a dozen relics.

Love that the dualcast+ that's supposed to essentially be another deadweight ends up hyper-synergising with an amazing 3 relic combo that gives him free dark orbs as Ironclad
Just realized something. Noone created a STS mod that shows all the relics on your character like the items do in Risk of Rain 2. Would be hella cool and disruptive

Funny enough I had this run live in the background while playing peglin poglin, I wasn’t paying full attention so I’m happy to see the whole thing :)
I noticed that the dragonkin's hex relic is a reference to the Fire Emblem series, using the icon of the "Draconic Hex" skill as the icon for the relic which appears in FE14 and FE17. Never thought I'd see that in STS...
the skill has been in games before Engage, but yeah

I know this is probably a dumb idea but "the meteor shower challenge" which is just a fancy name for a "relicless" run where all relics are black stars, so the more you get the more elites and bosses drop. Literally useless relics on their own but i thought it'd be funny to see 1. If they stack, and 2. Like 40 relics on screen.
It hurted to see frost grabbing the upgrade all, but, i think i would have done the same going at full speed. and talking about going at full speed, respect. that was so well played

The cobweb ball of tar interaction is so stupid. Neither of the relics indicate that they work like that together and even if they did it would be stupid.
It should be mentioned, but it makes sense balance wise. Its literally 2 free energy with ball of tar, 1 free energy is good enough

@@matth2283 its literally a free energy already, that is better than *every single energy relic in the base game.* except for maybe mark of pain with a bottled evolve+, which is only a grand... +1 draw every time you get 1 of the wounds not in your starting hand.
