These discussions need to reach millions of Americans.
Funny thing is, most of us in the indigenous community knew this day was coming, and knew we'd be swept up in it. The day these deportations started, our tribal leader sent out an advisory notice on how to deal with ICE agents and our legal system started a division to deal with wrongful detentions. We know our reservations are still targets for their greed. They want the oil and uranium beneath our feet; they want the land to graze and plough their livestock and crops. The ideology hasn't changed from day 1: "They have land that they don't know how to tend. We can do it better." Loose quote of Andrew Jackson before herding the tribes of the southeastern states into concentration camps and sending them to modern day Oklahoma.

I just started back to school after being out of school for a while. I was in school when there was no online classes. Online classes is not good. There is no human connection. I have one in person class twice a week. I enjoy that class for the human connection, the interaction. Learning online has taken away the humaness . (If that is a word). More classes need to be in person just for the stimulation of the mind.

Remember this quote, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” and I’d be bold enough to add, “Even if we’re friends just until we accomplish a joint mission for our common good.” We’ve already wasted too much time; we’re going to have to fight for us regardless of what other people do! If we just sit on the sidelines waiting for others or sitting back eating popcorn, drinking wine, enjoying our self-care days, laughing & getting satisfaction as others “Find Out”, we do ourselves a great disservice! WE need to know that we have to fight for us & if others join in because of their need, we can then be collectively selfish & let them in so our needs get met, the faster the better, understanding there’s more power in greater numbers! We just have to KNOW what’s what & be very careful as we fight together at a distance. If self-preservation is your goal, you need to understand in the position we’re in now, to preserve & regain proper good for yourselves, we will more than likely need others!

Kids are TIIIIIIRED of standardized testing; it doesn’t impact them; the only test that young scholars care about is the official SAT and AP exams. This country over test students and does not want teachers to teach and students to lear, especially in K-12., because there’s money in failure not in success - that’s a shame.
Spoken truthfully yet it confuses me as to why black people would get upset about eradicating the DOE. Look at our test scores in literacy and math, it and our community has clearly failed
White schools don't teach nothing but white is good
@ DOE is important because it holds the government responsible for educating ALL children not just some unlike charters, which are beholden to its benefactors.

Higher levels of Blooms taxonomy of learning no longer taught: applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating. Lowered curriculum standards for teaching and learning.
And, "controversial" subjects are not allowed to be discussed objectively in some schools.
Currently there is a lack of foresight.
Games like Chess are great for teaching foreword thinking and analyzing the consequences of the moves that are made
So funny, I was teaching my 3 year old how to play chess just today. We play with puzzles a lot, too. I plan to continue homeschooling for as long as possible to keep the school system from rotting her brain.

Are you willing to sacrifice going to Walmart & ordering from Amazon too? There are a lot a businesses sh*tting on us now, BUT THEY STILL WANT OUR MONEY & OUR LABOR. If we aren’t going to collective make them pay economically, we’re wasting our time talking; we have to sacrifice, ONLY buying NECESSITIES that you can’t get elsewhere from these places. We need to keep our money in our pocket almost EVERYWHERE to make the country know that we’re SERIOUS & in it for the long haul. If we’re not serious, we may as well do what I heard from another influencer, “I’m staying out of it, eat my popcorn, drink my wine & take me a self-care day when I need to”.

TOTTALY AGREE WITH YOU MR BLACK,,, As a former US elementary teacher, and now a highschool teacher in Mexico,,, I witnessed exactly that,,, educational programs in the US being modified to fit exactly that,,, white student get better math education than students of other races,,,,and same for Higher Order THingking skills
In the late 1970's the GRE's added a section on analytical thinking to the math & English sections. You were given a passage to read and then you had to answer questions like "what would happen next?" I spent the previous summer reading Agatha Christie novels while on BART to & from class. I always credited reading mysteries and trying to figure out who did it to the reason I aced that part of the test. (And good thing my grad program didn't care about my math skills, 🤣). I completely agree with you Dr Black. Critical thinking is such an important skill. I blame the lack of it (and other things) on our getting the administration we have now. Keep teaching and preaching these important skills! Thank you sir.

May I suggest that the boycott includes ONLY buying black? The boycott has to let them know that they can't turn their backs on Our Community, because We still have money and We will still spend it.
