Popular CFMOTO 800MT has ECU update

- Launched a few short months ago, the CFMOTO 800MT has been a runaway sales sensation. However some reports of an EFI issue has resulted in an update available to all customers.
We speak with Gary Ridden, CFMOTO's territory manager in Queensland and Northern Territory to discuss the update and the success of the brand.

Just got my update today on the CF Moto Ride app, read the instructions and it took approx 20 minutes to update. Looking forward to testing it tomorrow? Thanks Mojo for your help.
That’s a great response to a problem that effects a lot of later model fi bikes.
Great news. My test ride in Australia did expose a very snatchy throttle response at slower speeds. Can you also do something about the ZERO feel from the indicator switch. Make the throttle response as smooth as the indicator switch and make the indicator switch as notchy as the throttle, and all is well. Great value for money.

Having watched many CF Moto bike reviews here in England I think you'll find that CF Moto actually manufacture engines for KTM and KTM have agreed that CF Moto can use these engines just rebranded as CF Moto .
you are 100% correct.
I have a 700 CL-X that has a pretty twitchy throttle at low speeds, but man the bike is so much fun to ride! I hope there will eventually be an ECU flash for the 700's too to smooth the throttle. In the meantime it's some of the most smile-inducing riding I've ever done, I love the bike!
I found on the CLX’s if you pop it in eco mode it smooths put the throttle beautifully for commuting or in town riding (filtering etc) and then sports is excellent for back roads and highway 🤙🏼
Will there be an update for the new 450MT? There are many reports of a jerky throttle response.

Hello, I am hesitating to buy the cf in Belgium. Can we have those improvements in Belgium too. Are we talking about software? How does this work?
is there a software number that coincides with that update, im in the US.. can we get access to that update..the over the air update does not work anymore. and the throttle is downright dangerous in the curves when leaned over.
06/2022 800MT snatchy off-idle throttle response is downright hazardous in low speed maneuvering, SA dealer has not helped and OTA is unavailable. Very frustrating!
Can anyone tell me how to tell if a bike has had the upgrade? I’m looking at a brand new 2022 mt 800 in a shop in New Zealand and they don’t know if it has been done. Is there a software version number to look for on the TFT OR ANYTHING?

When will this be available in Australia and what will it cost. The fuelling is annoying at times, but overall the bike is terrific.
I would like to have an instruction manual on how to use the tablet as I cant use the odometer trip meter I don't know how to cancel it

Pity they didn’t hold there hands up in Europe about it!! People have sold and won’t buy any more for some thing that was an easy fix I’ve got mine 700 miles in and I’m going to sell it!! Very twitchy and Tiresome throttle
CFMoto has the throttle on the throat...of? Interesting choice of words. Something to do with the translation from Mandarin in to Kiwi?

Nice work lads! How do I get the ECU update here in Germany? My dealer could not give me any help or solutions to it :/
Same problem in here in austria, just bought a 800MT but can't log into the cfmoto ride app to update the ECU

@@paradox4142 Ist halt wirklich schade, weil damit nicht nur comfort sondern auch die Navigation zusammehängt. KSR arbeitet fieberhaft an einer Lösung. Ich überlege derzeit mir eine franz. Simkarte zuzulegen und das Update so drauf zu fahren. Spreche am Freitag mit meinem Händler drüber und kann die Info gerne weiter geben.
@@fabianbuserell8609 An sowas ähnliches dachte ich auch schon, ist halt blöd im Unwissen zu sein wann es soweit sein wird. Ob KSR hier viel dazu beitragen kann bin ich mir nicht sicher, nachdem sie jetzt nicht mehr Generalimporteur von CFMoto sind.
Ich habe auch bei vielen australischen und neuseeländischen Beiträgen gehört und gelesen, dass ein ab Werk falsch eingesetzter Luftfilter zu den bekannten Probleme führen kann.
